Completely overpriced breakfast, it's 10Eur and worth maybe 4. The room is small, the beds are old as f.... and can tell you the story of every trucker in eastern France. Never tried the restaurant apart from the breakfast, but it's supposed to be good, parking space is full in the evenings..makes it hard to park for hotel guests.

First, the bed is uncomfortable and noisy. The floor cleaning is very poor, I noticed some hair on the floor. And the last but not the least, The heater was broke, fresh air when outside temperature is 10° is perfect to be sick I put a star for the staff kindness and the breakfast is fair but not awesome. I had a room at the back of the bulding. To access it you walk on the backstage near a large airconditionning system with a lot of noise

We were quite satisfied once we had a room away from the road side The first room we had was far to noisy and we therefore had to ask for a room on the other side. With that room we were satisfied. The food in the restaurant was very good. The large television is rather disturbing whilst one eats!

Stayed at this Campanile three times now as its about half way from Eurotunnel and our final destination in Switzerland and it suits our needs perfectly. The staff are excellent, breakfast if good if a little overpriced perhaps but you can go to town with the buffet and selection of hot and cold drinks. Evening meals are also good with a two course offer of starter/main or main/sweet for just over 16 Euros or three courses for 21 Euros - the starter and sweet are again buffet and eat as many/much as you like. Rooms are clean and comfortable and unlike most French hotels, have tea and coffee facilities in the room with shower and bath - oh, it also has air con which is a big plus during the hot summer months. Access - here is the only issue. Easily accessible at J19 E21/A31 BUT you cannot rejoin at J19 to travel south and indeed there is no J19 exit travelling from the south and the route is not direct from either the E21/A31 or E23/A33 - its not a difficult route if you pre plan. We will continue to stay here as long as standards remain the same, book early and its an absolute bargain.

A late arrival was no problem and at check-in I immediately paid city taxes sinces i wanted to leave early in the morning without hussle. Room was fine. But in the morning a leaving my room key reception asked me to pay taxes. When I made clear I already had done so (and no, for 85 cents I did not ask for an invoice or receipt) they guy became extremely unfriendly, even chased me to the parkig. Threatening and screaming he would call the police. So that was once but never again.

Clean rooms, if a bit dated. Comfortable beds, and quiet night despite being so near the road. Great value for a budget hotel. Excellent breakfast, didn't try the restaurant, but probably good as well (has a veggie option). Not much else in the area, but not a problem for a night's stay. Choice of supermarkets nearby if you don't fancy the restaurant.

Friends of ours swear by Campanile, so we tried this one. We hope our experience is not typical. The room was grubby with suspicious brown marks on the walls, the two chairs were unsafe with sprung joints, the floor sticky. Only one bedside table making it difficult for whoever slept on the other side. An old unusable fitting for the kettle was still attached to the wall, reducing desk-top space. But it was the bathroom that was really appalling: mould in all areas and a whopping hole in the ceiling over the bath where a leak a long time ago had pulled down the plasterboard and covering - it was hanging like curtains! It was late and the place appeared full so we put up with it. Plus-points - WiFi worked and the linens were crisp, clean and fresh. Moral - if you stay here, check your room before you accept it. Ours certainly did not resemble the pictures on the website.

We stayed here on the 1st night of a tour to Italy with our motorcycle pals. Our room was quite dark, it was very basic, it faced the motorway, but wasn't too noisy. I guess the old saying is true - you get what you pay for!! It wasn't expensive but it wasn't good. It reminded us why we usually don't book this type of hotel.

Good room, good bed. Friendly staff. Convenient location near the highway. Restaurant was good with reasonable prices. My only complaint is that the air conditioning unit makes a lot of noise even when it's not in use. I would recommend this as a stopover hotel. Price was very reasonable.

We stayed here on the 28th July 2015. When you look at the photos for the Campanile hotels on the booking sites I have to say I think they show the best bits. When we turned up it didn't look very nice at all, but I've rated the hotel based on the price I paid, which was just £28 per room. The hotel was grubby, dated and worn, which fits in fairly well with the area and the rest of Nancy that we got to see. Unfortunately, I think this hotel is a case of you get what you pay for - in this case the bare minimum. The WiFi was the slowest of all the hotels I stayed in during my 10 days in Europe, and had a habit of kicking you off all the time. For the positives the receptionist was welcoming and tried hard to communicate with us in English, which I have to say was a much better attempt than our French. There were plenty of plug sockets in the room, and a kettle with tea and coffee, reasonably sized TV and the room wasn't too warm (which was lucky as there was a notice up when we arrived alerting us to technical difficulties meaning air con wasn't working).
