Easily to find, follow your gps, private parking, somewhat "tired" hotel, we had family room, with 3 beds, beds were good, room was clean also bathroom. It seemed in the entire hotel was lacking ventilation, was no climate control, except the window. There was this specific smell in the room, we opened the window to air right away. Anyway, for one night it was ok, if you are not too fussy. Price was good and it seemed to be quite popular. We tried to eat at the restaurant but waited someone to approach but no one came so went to grill nearby. Didn't have breakfast. Nice budget range hotel nothing too fancy, ideal for families for overnight stay.
We stayed at this hotel for one night, on our way back from Spain. Access to the hotel seemed pretty straightforward on the map, but in real life it proved to be somewhat of a puzzle. Anyway - we did find it .. A big, 60's style building with a private carpark. The staff at the reception was friendly and capable. Our room was spatious, with an equally large bathroom. It was clean and the beds were fine, but the room had the same strange problem as the rest of the hotel: the whole place is in need of a major upgrade. There's a stale smell in the corridors and also in the room (old carpet ? lack of ventilation ?) . It's as if nothing has changed there for the last 20 years or so .. the look & feel of the place is strangely off. Having said that - our stay was fine. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The service was good and friendly, even at that late hour. Breakfast was a bit crowded and the choice was limited, but it was ok. Check out was friendly and efficient.
Great hotel for travellers between north and south Europe. Spacy rooms and ideally located just away from the highway, close to Nancy-centre. Value for money. For cold rooms they have good electric heaters. Unfortunately on borth our visits the internet connection was very unstable and hard to access. Not 2017...
This place was a bit hard to find even though you could see it from the autoroute. We eventually 'fell over it' as we struggled with the strange street layout around Nancy. The hotel is located in an outer suburb of Nancy called Laxou. Because there were no facilities of any note close to the hotel, the hotel didn't have a restaurant, we ate at a nearby McDonald's restaurant. The hotel is in a semi industrial and semi-education precinct. The room was comfortable and clean although it was an older style hotel. The man on reception was polite and helpful and made our stay more enjoyable. It was also a cheap place to stay so win-win overall.
We chose Hotel Ariane as it had onsite parking and free wi fi. It is an older style hotel that could do with an upgrade. We were given a large room with a creaky bed, old furniture and no tea or coffee facilities. However the bathroom was large with lots of hot water. Unfortunately the room had no working aircon so we opened the window for fresh air. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant. We had skewered beef, lamb and pork & sausage with vegetables. The service was good in the restaurant. It was an ok stay but don't expect too much.
There is a specific smell in all rooms (old dirty carpets and lack of ventilation). Very old hotel that requires renovation. Location is good though. Brekfast has very few choices. Very bad smell is coming out of the pipes in the bathroom. Sound insulation is very poor. There is car parking available. McDonald's with drive-in is about 700 meters away. (Restaurant closes at 23.00/drive-in 24/7).
The location of the hotel is easy to reach from the highway, and there is a free parking. It is great to use the public transport to go to the city center, the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. We were glad to visit the old city and have dinner. The room is quite big and comfy. Breakfast buffet has a good choice.
This is a perfect hotel close to A31 (on your way to/from south of France or else). I have stayed here for different reasons. Stop-over and as a gateway to great ancient Nancy Centre. Public transport is 30 meters away and brings you down town in a couple of minutes. The rooms are functional, clean. No romance-activating scenery. Staff is correct, with a smile. Because of '24-hour' entrance possibilities, there is always someone walking in and out the hotel .... I don't mind, it simply is ... (sometimes very functional) Parking is free, environment of the hotel is 'Industry' like ... with the famous 'Burger-M' around the corner.
Driving down from the north of Belgium to the south of France, I decided to plan a break and pre-booked at the Hotel Ariane. Although I was late arriving this wasn't a problem. The room was neat and tidy. Wifi is free and of a good quality both in the room as well as in the restaurant. Although it is well located and not far from the motorway it was very peaceful. Beds nice and firm, pillows good. More than enough hot water and sufficient towels. Hairdryer in the bathroom and accessible sockets to recharge phones etc. The restaurant was also open, eventhough I arrived at 8.30pm. Dinner was good and well presented. Staff were very friendly and polite.
The Hotel Ariane is relatively easy to reach off the autoroute coming from Metz (although it is several exits down for "Nancy." The price for a room on-line is very good from several of the search engines. The size of the room, for France, is quite big, and the bathroom had a combo tub-shower. The bed was firm, but not too hard. The furniture and finish of the sleeping room and bathroom is OK, but would warrant a replacement and facelift soon. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The desk staff put up with my French rather than answer in English, which I appreciated. We drove into the city center for dinner and the light and sound show (a must see!). It was a bit tough to find the hotel after dark without a map or gps, but there are signs that you can follow if you know they are there. (Advice: use a gps or get a map!!) It would have been more convenient to stay in the city center for this, but those hotels are much more expensive. We didn't have breakfast or dinner here, so I can't comment on the meals. It is a good deal on Euros for the quality and size of the accommodations. Factor in the free parking in an enclosed area, and the Hotel Ariane is a great deal if you are driving! One odd thing to note is the paper bath mat. I thought it was a neat idea: It didn't slip, is completely sanitary, and is totally recyclable. I think the management should point this out as a sustainable and environmental "Isn't this cool?!!" marketing pitch.
