We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and felt it was very good value for money. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We found all the staff lovely and they all made an effort. Breakfast included a good range of items which staff were happy to replenish when asked. We felt sorry for the staff at breakfast as there was a tour group staying at the hotel who were extremely rude. The staff were very professional (not sure I would have tolerated being spoken to like that by guests staying at the hotel). We loved the fact the swimming pool was on the roof top, as the surrounding mountains are an impressive backdrop. The only thing I would change is to heat the swimming pool as we found the pool too cold to swim in.

We decided to take advantage of a last minute offer to Sicily. I reviewed the hotel and decided to book the holiday. We rented a car at the airport and the Sat nav took us to this great little hotel. Clean, friendly staff and excellent food this is a little gem of a place and is ideally situated for exploring Etna, Catania and all the beautiful places Sicily has to offer. The room had excellent air conditioning and we slept well without suffering from the heat at night. Parking right next to the hotel with an entrance into the hotel. Breakfast is continental and a buffet style, all good. In the evening the restaurant serves up excellent Pizza and Pasta dishes plus many more splendid dishes. All in all I am more than happy with the hotel and would recommend to anybody, especially those who prefer a peaceful place to stay away from crowds etc. In any case it's only a short drive down to some of the fantastic beaches on the coast.

Its a nice clean hotel with okay rooms. They are not the best in english. The service is okay but they dont like to talk and smile. The poolarea is at 4th floor but very nice terresse up there with sunbeds and snackbar. Be aware that you have to wear bathing cap. At the brunchbuffet there is a lot of diffenrent delicius things but they are slow to refill. The restaurent at the evening is very good.

It is a family-run hotel with outstanding kind and helpful staff! The hotel itself is not 'ultra-modern-fancy', but clean, the rooms are large and nicely decorated and the rooftop pool-area is superb for quiet relaxation. They have a big parking for no charge. The food is OK for breakfast and the dinner menu is tasty, they surely have a good cook! If you want to see the best of Sicily, the location is great to visit Etna, Taormina, Milazzo and most of the beauties in the northeast region. We definitely want tor return!

Very nice hotel arround the Etna mountain. Very beautiful view from the rooms on the street. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is decent. Clean and spacious room. Free wi-fi (good signal everywere in the hotel). They have a small pool on the roof which was good for hot weather. The only problem - they have only one elevator and a bit slow. Good value for money.

We did not stay in the hotel but we drunk a cappuccino. We received great help from the person at the desk to find the way to walk next to de Alcantara and could leave our car for free on his parc place. Super!

It is quite a nice hotel not too fancy the food is breakfast enough dinner is not bad also not expensive they have a big parking lot no charge nice helpful personnel after 20.30 you need you keys to enter no reception no bar

Staff are frendly, the food is good the terrace pool area is very nice with great views the pool was a bit chilly but it is the end of September , we stayed here for ten days plenty to do if you have a car which we did. Apparently the bus service is not that good and taxis are not that cheep so we got told by a couple who we spoke to. Our room was on the top floor (3) overlooking the valley and we could see the sea from our balcony. Having a car was great we covered the east cost and a bit of the north coast. This is a traditional Sicilian place with no glitz or glam. #acarisamust

Having just returned from our holiday in hotel D'Orange D'Alcantara in francavilla Sicily . This hotel is in a rural area with lots of locals and not many English tourist , public transport very unreliable, you would need to rent a car . It was how ever a good 3* its a bit tired in areas. Breakfast was same every day, the evening meals they offer are ok, pizzas were nice though !!! Reception staff were pleasant, there is one young man who was particular helpful, and his English was very good .

The hotel is OK. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, although the bathroom was a bit overcrowded! We had a room on the side, but no furniture on the balcony, possibly because there were steps leading to the street. Our friends who were on the same deal had a wonderful, large balcony equipped with table and chairs. We ate one evening meal in the restaurant which was good and reasonably priced. the breakfast was disappointing, however, and like many other reviewers I must ask why the coffee is dispensed from a machine. It is not good. The bar was good and well used but the sofas and chairs could do with a clean or replacement as they let the public areas down.
