Motel 6 Merced, CA

Staff was nice and helpful expect for for who got me so confused on my payment. Security was on top of it

Beds very hard . bad smell. Very loud property. No one to be found on site

Convenient, close to the highway, food and gas near by.

I stayed here before my trip into Yosemite for $70. The West end of the hotel was loud and un-monitored until 3AM and beyond with people fighting/screaming. Unfortunately, even with the air conditioning and TV on, the lack of carpet caused all the slamming doors, petty fights, and domestic disturbances to echo down the hall. Rooms/beds themselves were clean. TV was poor and didn't have a remote - just a toggle on the TV itself. Even wearing earplugs wouldn't help as people slamming doors hard echoed down the hall. Not sure I'd recommend.

Worst hotel weve been .. should have listened to the comments for this place .. big mistake !! We reserve a non-smoking room but when we got in the room was soo dirty and the smell was so bad .. a used soap was still stuck on one of the towels. Worst part was while I was using the toilet I heard above me someone used the their water then it leaked on me .. had to take a bath because of the filty water that leaked on me. Not so safe place to stay. A lot of homeless people hanging outside the stairs smoking and on the parking lot .. couldn’t sleep well think something might happen to our car.. Noise level was beyond worst .. a lot of people talking and near a busy street.. On the pictures at orbitz it has a ref and microwave .. well when we got there it magically disappeared .. have to walk all the way to the office to heat food and get ice .. Worst Motel 6 I’ve seem .. highly not recomemded. Consider somewhere else ...

If your on a budget, this is a good place to stay. Safe area and close by to stores, resturants and gas stations. The only complaint I have is the hallways echo a lot, can be loud at times. Other than that, good stay. Would stay there again.

I would rather sleep in a tent then go back to this place. As soon as you walk in the hallway to your room you are hit with the stench of urine. The bathroom was disgusting. Moldy toilet and bathtub. I can’t understand why they can’t just scrub it every now and again. The top blanket on the bed was stained. I checked the sheets multiple times praying that there were no bedbugs and I didn’t see any so I guess that was the highlight of the Stay. Gross. So scuzzy.

The overall conditions of the hotel was under construction and pool was closed on 105 degrees temperature and was never told it was closed or undergoing full renovation , the hallways smell terrible dirty , barking dogs all night in rooms , homeless people looming around the facility's and very uncomfortable condition for a family, Not a good experience and sad about the value of Motel 6

We've stayed at this location a few times over the past few years, and it's worse each time. The sign boasts of remodeled rooms; what they actually are now are dingy looking rooms, smell like smoke (though it was a non-smoking room), sticky floors, dusty lamps, flat as a pancake pillows (might as well not even have a pillow). Non-working security door (anyone can walk-in to hallway that leads to the rooms), smelly, dirty looking carpet in the hallway.

Very clean and easy STAFF VERY FRIENDLY i DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY ABOUT IT

Some rooms have microwave-fridges and some don't. But the rooms are big and the beds are comfortable and nice.

The room basically had a bed, television and a bathroom. The bedding was stained. Bugs crawled on the walls and had one in my bed. Someone damaged my car and the hotel didn't even make an effort to help. All I kept getting was I'm sorry but the manager is out of town. The area where the hotel is located has numerous homeless people on the grounds and the staff never told them to leave. The just don't care.

I read some bad reviews of this hotel but decided to give it a shot since I usually have decent experiences at Motel 6. Like many of the other reviews, there was hair on the towels and in the shower. and the neighborhood wasn't the best.

From the moment we arrived we heard a dog barking just a few doors down from our room, mind you this was not a chihuahua it sounded more like a great Dane. Initially we brushed it off thinking the room would be sound proof, boy were we wrong, it seemed as if the noise got louder inside but that was the least of our worries, to top that all off, the room seemed to have been renovated however all they did was try to paint and update the comforters. The beds were old and nasty and full of bugs, besides that the restroom was moldy and dirty. Within minutes we were itching uncontrollably. This place is uninhabitable and should be deemed unsanitary.
