Insotel Punta Prima Prestige Suites & Spa5.0 out of 5.0

The insotel punta prima prestige is at a great location, overseeing the sea and is a quiet area. Close to the beach and some hand supermarkets. Great staff, but overall a bit outdated. Nice well sized suites, but not worth a five star without refurbishment.
We have chosen Insotel Punta Prima Prestige Suites & Spa mainly because of the amazing ratings the hotel had an almost all booking platforms. Except for the quality of the room, everything else was 5 stars prestige level. Even though we had an amazing time here and hope to get back in the years to come (we live in Mallorca so is an easy trip for us) Our booking included breakfast and dinner and we were not disappointed. Each evening, the dinner took us into a distinct gastronomical trip (first night was Asian cuisine, then Italian, Menorquin, Spanish, etc). The staff in the restaurant was amazing, the girls (Ana and Nati) and the guys (forgot their names, but all of them) were equally helpful and amazing in helping us have a nice breakfast/dinner. The pools (kids and adult sizes) located in the (secluded) Prestige area were great. Everyone, the kids and us, had a nice time there. The suit itself, on the other hand, was not complying with the 5* prestige norms and expectations, even though the personnel made ALL efforts to make us feel comfortable and happy. And they made it, but in order for the hotel to have a clear perspective on what needs to be done, I will explain my statement. We were accommodated in the suite 6010, which was clean and cosy, with a nice vintage twist and a cute porch. I wish to take this opportunity to send you, Estera, my special thanks. The way you cleaned and arranged everything (toys, clothing, children books, etc) every single day, made our trip very enjoyable. Many thanks to the Dutch lady from reception who sent the technical team with the air-refreshener/cleaner every single day in our room and eventually helped getting rid-off the existent mildew odour emanating from the kitchen and cabinets areas. Other aspects - which were not affecting our trip - but yet which failed to conform with the standards we expected and paid for were: the door blocker, which was loose and kept falling all the time (so i had to remove it), the air-conditioner's command panel from the bedroom, the tap shield from the en-suite shower (the plastic shower itself was really corroded). The French kitchen door's handle was twisted. I pointed out these aspects to the reception and hopefully, they will take care of them in the near future. For more details, contact me and I will send you the pictures I've taken and showed to the reception. Anyway, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone. The view, the cuisine, the serving are the main ingredients for an incredible stay in Menorca.
This was our 3rd visit back to this hotel. The staff are brilliant and it's one of the reasons we come back. In particular Jose Maria Perez always remembers repeat customers and goes out of his way to make sure you are looked after. Javi does a great job at the pool bar and the children love him. The staff in the restaurant can't do enough to make sure needs are met. You all make the holiday special. We were disappointed with the entertainment, we have seen it many times now and wish there was more variety like the Mallorca insotel resort. Please pass on our thanks especially to Jose and Ravi
Lovely location with sea views. Large apartments with all facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of sunbeds by the pool. Very good deals in A la Carte restaurant when we were there. Our daughter is gluten free and they had excellent options for her. Great restaurants nearby - recommend El Faro.
We stayed here 2 years ago (after fleeing from the adjacent mass-resort). I still think it's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scene.. The new à la carte restaurant with it's wide sea view is breathtaking beautiful and the food and wine are what we have come to expect from 'prestige' (and Ismaël is a absoluut darling). Great for having G&T's on the terras in the evening..
we travelled with sovereign who could not be faulted. a mini bus collected us promptly from the airport, all 14 of us, my 70 birthday treat, and after a short journey we arrived at Insotel Punta Prima. we were booked in very efficiently and shown to our apartments which were very clean and spacious. The three families with children had perfect ground floor accom with a sea view which was perfect especially in the evenings when the children went to bed the adults could get together for a drink and chat. The late evenings were never noisey and all children slept well. The parents were amazed at how often their accom was cleaned and tidied for them sometimes several times a day, sheer bliss. There was swimming available for all levels of proficiency and even a wonderful temp from granny and granddad. Meal times were executed with great efficiency and very smiling staff and the selection of food on offer was quite amazing. Very happy children and parents. The clubs provided for the children were well organised and all enjoyed themselves. The disco was popular with the little ones but not so much for granny and granddad who opted for other pleasures. We crossed the `moat` into our accom which was a little haven of tranquillity, unbelievable really as so close to the main pool etc. but was heavenly, So all in all a great and memorable holiday was had by all. All the staff deserve another mention as they were all so helpful, friendly and child orientated , If it helps our children ranged from 2-7.
We've just returned from a 10 night stay at Punta Prima PS&S which was our third visit. There's not much more we can add about the location, setting and facilities that hasn't already been said as it is every bit breath taking. We would like to highlight the difference the staff make to any resort no matter how well set it is. For us, at Punta Prima, they always make the difference starting from the moment you arrive. Everyone you meet such as Josephina at reception to Rosalia who expertly made our apartment look like a showroom every day, makes you feel so welcome. In between there's Javi & Antonio who look after you at the pool bar. Carlos and his team who makes breakfast and dinner a special experience each and every time. It's impossible to write a review without giving them all a big shout as we'd like to think of them as friends. There's the amazing Anna, Nati, Thianne who the children just adore. Then the fantastic FOH chef's Paul & Elizabeth and of course the one and very only Jose! Who will always have a cheeky smile and a glass of Cava on offer! Finally If you're lucky to catch the Anna and Nacho on a Tuesday night, we'd suggest getting there dead on 7pm as to not miss a moment. Their musical interpretations of much loved classics has to be heard as i'm not a good enough writer to do them justice. We hope this review gives you a bit of an insight as to how hard working the staff are to make sure your time with them is as special as possible.
We have just spent a wonderful week at this hotel and once more were delighted with our stay. This was our 7th time staying and yet again we had a super time. People ask us why we keep going back to the same place, but they need to try it! You just feel relaxed the minute you arrive. The rooms are spacious and well thought out. There is lots of food to choose, to keep all happy and it is delicious. The staff are really what raises the hotel even further, from the reception to the bars and the restaurant, you feel like you are among friends and are sad to leave. We cannot wait for our next visit! Looking at some of the negative reviews, I think people get confused between the Prestige side and the non-prestige side, as the Prestige side is absolutely fantastic. We have travelled extensively and now look forward to returning to our favourite place. Insotel Punta Prima Prestige is super.
We stayed at the Prestige Suites for a 2 week holiday from 3rd July. The first week was very relaxing as the complex was very quiet. The rooms were spacious but in need of refurbishment and we felt didn't warrant 5*.The small kitchen space however was very useful to prepare lunch etc and the balcony was a good size. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful especially Vanessa, our chambermaid who always did a great job leaving the rooms spotless. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger around the pool and plenty of towels were provided every day (the normal suites apparently have to pay a deposit and the towels are only changed every few days). Everything was well organised with a few exceptions - when we wanted to book dinner at any of the restaurants on the complex we were laughed at since apparently there were so many people staying in the normal suites (1700 people in our 2nd week!) that they had priority as they were mainly half board (we were b & b). In the end we never ate there for dinner and found some excellent restaurants around the island (we had a hire car). We thought it was a shame for a supposedly 5* resort not to have any availability for us to eat dinner in any restaurant unless we booked days in advance - we had never come across this in a 5* hotel before. The manager at the pool bar was very amenable but we did think €12 for a cheese & ham sandwich and €7 for a portion of chips a bit steep! Then we came to play tennis - we had phoned the information centre there to book a court but was told there would be no problem getting a court and to just turn up half an hour later. This is what we did only to find that all the courts were taken,. Apparently most people don't book a court but just turn up and continue to play for hours and refuse to move! This complete lack of organisation was really surprising and most disappointing for our two children who were most upset at being unable to play. The second week became a lot busier and we suddenly found there were no sunloungers available around our pool and that was at 9.30am! The usual game of getting up early in the morning to 'reserve' your sun lounger had begun! One day we watched at least 5 families arrive at the pool and then leave as there were no sunloungers. We had a wonderful sea view (definitely recommended). The breakfast buffet was very good but the hot cooking plate needed to be cleaned more frequently as the omelettes/pancakes kept ending up being slightly burnt. The hotel staff were accommodating by providing us an early breakfast on 2 occasions when we were leaving the hotel early. We may come back to the Prestige suites as long as a refurbishment has been done on the rooms. We did enjoy our holiday but there were a few niggles especially considering the price we paid for our stay.
Have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel, spent there with my daughter and 10 month old grandson. The suite was lovely, maybe needing a bit of updating in the future but was spacious and adequate for our needs and a bonus on the ground floor with terrace which felt safer for a crawling little one. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. Some of the best hotel food I have had and I have done lots of travelling so plenty to compare with! All the staff at the prestige resort were extremely efficient friendly and helpful. Although our visit was marred slightly mid week with a visit to the medical centre with the little one having an ear infection, this was dealt with by an extremely efficient doctor and antibiotics quickly dispensed. All members of staff fussed and had time for the little one which made us feel comfortable whether in the restaurants or elsewhere. Thank you to all the staff for helping to make our short stay enjoyable. I would recommend a stay here and definitely an upgrade to the prestige section for that extra little bit of luxury.
