A nice small, modern hotel in the centre of Mendoza. Our room was large and very comfortable, with good bed. We didn't try the pool, but maybe next time... Service was friendly, breakfast was fine. Their website and in-house publicity makes reference to an Italian-style restaurant, but this is now gone. Only sandwiches and room-service type stuff available in the evenings, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
This hotel is set in the centre of Mendoza and is well located for restaurants( a great one round the corner) and bars. It is small and attractive with fair sized rooms and good bathrooms. It is on a busy street and can be a little noisy if you are located on the street. There is a small (cold!) pool area and even a pretty basic gym. The hotel is in good condition and the reception staff are extremely helpful and will assist in organising trips to any of the 800+ wineries around Mendoza Breakfast is really good with lots of options
There’s no doubt the main selling point of this hotel is location, for which it cannot be faulted as it is so central. The breakfast in the hotel was also one of the better ones we had in Argentina so that’s another positive. The staff were pleasant and helpful as well albeit we didn’t ask them for much help or advice. The problem for me with this hotel is that it is really quite dated and in need of some serious TLC. The room was small, not very clean and frankly a bit smelly. The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets were well past their best, much like the hotel in general I’d say. So overall you would stay here for location and for a relatively low cost but not for a great room or a relaxing hotel experience. It’s probably best described as functional.
On short notice, I had to find a suitable (comfortable, clean, functioning, attractive, with good amenities) hotel, at a good-for-us price, and I am happy to report that ‘The Villaggio’ more than fit the bill and delivered its promises stated on hotel sites. Starting with it’s stellar location by the central park and an important restaurant street, the hotel offers free parking at a location a few steps from the front door. (We had unlimited in and out privileges for 7 days, without a problem.) The fron desk staff was multi-lingual, kind, efficient, and always helpful. The decor (lobby, bar, restaurant, outdoors) was modern in style, well maintained, and comfortable. Our room was spacious, including a bath/shower, sitting area, dressing area, etc. We had a front-facing room on the top floor, with blackout shades, if needed. Breakfast was also included, with good and plentiful choices, as well as custom coffees. The owners and staff are working hard to provide a good experience here, and I applaud them, and plan to return to stay in the future. Thanks, Villaggio!
If you are looking for a Hotel that is close to excellent restaurants, has helpful front desk staff, and has clean, well appointed rooms, then stay at the Villaggio! The Breakfast choice is more than adequate with a wide variety of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, juices, breads, eggs, cheese and ham....you shouldnt go hungry! Frank at the front desk arranged a city tour for us and had suggestions for dinners close by. All the front desk staff were accommodating. We also used the pool, which was welcome after a long day of touring! Thank you Team Villaggio !!
Great location but the hotel was a bit tatty and run down and we should have spent a bit extra and stayed elsewhere. The staff very friendly and tried hard but were not very knowledgeable and sent us to a closed supermarket and did not reserve a hire car when they said they did. The rooms a bit noisy and breakfast very ordinary.
This is a cozy hotel located close to the centre of Mendoza and near to many good restaurants and an easy walk to the main shopping areas. It had big, comfortable bedrooms and was very quiet. The décor was classy although there were some signs of wear and tear. Breakfast was a buffet with a great variety of foods. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Thankyou for a lovely stay, definitely recommend this hotel.
Its location very close to avenida Belgrado and Aristides street where you find the best restaurants and pubs is great;staff is nice and servicial; breakfast included in the fee is quite abundant. Something important! We asked for a second key and they claimed they didn't have one. We didn't like this.... I would only recommend that you stay in a superior room. At first we were given a common one, it was ok but not so neat and hair dryer didn't work properly. Unluckily, we found cockroaches in our room. Our receptionist immediately changed our room and we spend a pleasant night at last. In general, the hotel is average, it's evident that maintenance is needed. Anyways, it's up to you folks! Hope you have a great time in Mendoza!
I arrived in Mendoza for 2 week vacation with my boyfriend....first thing from the airport headed to villagio hotel. I was amazed by the cozy design, luxurious classy athmosphere, big, comfortable bedrooms with amenities of all kind. and the most important silent, perfect ac and the most pleasant stuff!!!! all of that for an amazing price! reccommend everyone as my first choice!!!! Thank you for making our stay memorable!
Overall I think I had a positive experience at this hotel, but there are aspects of the stay that left me thinking I would try a different one next time. Pros -It's located close to restaurants and other areas you might want to visit. -The free breakfast was convenient and had many sorts of pastries and bread available, and some hot food as well (though we never tried it) -The lobby and breakfast area are very up to date -Good internet Cons -The room looks good in pictures, but looking closer there were some wear marks from furniture and luggage on the walls, water stains on the counter in the bathroom, deteriorated strips of grip tape or something on the bottom of the shower -The sheets were thin enough that I could read the label on the top of the mattress through them -The hot water in the shower intermittently smelled really unpleasant, almost like sewage The cons I listed wouldn't really be too much of a concern (aside from the hot water smell) but I expected better based on the description of the hotel as "boutique" and the images which make it look nicer than it is.
