Set amid lush lawns and mature garden on one-third of an acre, this recently renovated home and bungalow harks back to a quieter time when the Mornington Peninsula was a sleepy holiday retreat for sun-seeking Melburnians.
Updated but still in keeping with the past, spend pleasant afternoons on the veranda, enjoy backyard cricket with the kids and a leisurely stroll down to the safe calm waters of McCrae beach and miles of walking trails up and down the coast.
With a choice of nearby restaurants including upmarket Alatonero and the peninsula’s best Thai restaurant The Lighthouse Café, the stage is set for a fantastic holiday by the sea.
The main house is light-filled and features a cosy lounge with flicking electric fireplace, split-system airconditioning, a separate dining area with an eight-seater table and a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
The main bedroom with ensuite has a queen bed and ceiling fan, while a second bathroom with shower and bath serves two other bedrooms – one with a queen bed, the other a double plus single bed.
Outside, a covered alfresco area and paved patio provide more dining options and a large spring-free trampoline will entertain the youngsters.
The rear garden bungalow has a quaint veranda overlooking the gardens and features two bedrooms with a triage bunk (sleeps 3) and two king singles along with a bathroom, kitchenette and living area.
