Basic old style rooms. Great location. Adequately comfy and roomy.

Although it is right on the main drag, it is remarkably quiet. The parking area is spacious enough but DO NOT bring a trailer in here! There is a vacant lot on the corner if you happen to be dragging. We arrived during a typical southern Oregon storm (drizzly) and everything was tidy, clean and a portable heater was going full-blast in the room so it was cozy... we ended up turning it off and opening a window, even. Rooms small and handicapped people will have difficulty as all the rooms have steps up to the doors... they can be slippery, too. I did not see the inside fo any of the other rooms so there may be significant differences! (we were in #6, I think). In room facilities include typical TV, under counter fridge and coffee maker. Coffee was much nicer pre-packaged stuff and actually tasted good. Unfortunately the fridge was a little loud (and right next to bed) so we unplugged it for night. I didn't mind but my wife (right next to it) was bothered. TV also on side of room and about knee-level so viewing a bit "different." Only true down-side was the bed seemed to be higher at the foot than the head and the mattress was not comfortable for my wife... I was just fine with it. Proximity to services: Next door on one side is a burger joint and on the other is a dispensary for the other kind of joint. Downtown and the Shakespeare Theatre is a fair walk away but not unpleasant... call it 8 blocks as the streets in Ashland are not on a regular grid along Main or Siskiyou.

I often stay in the Manor Motel when traveling through Ashland. It is funky and could use some updating (which I understand it may receive with the new owner). But the staff is always welcoming and accommodating. This time, we had a lovely room with access to the garden. It is also convenient walking distance to downtown.

Somewhat funky old hotel with character. Clean and close enough to everything in Ashland. A real bargain for the price.

A little cramped, with an old 21" TV with poor reception. Parking cramped, too, but all in all, good value for the price. Quiet at night. Don't expect ANY amenities beyond soap and shampoo; there wasn't even a table to eat from. The bathroom looked original 1940s; hard to turn sink faucet handles; little room for toiletries, just a cramped toilet, a sink and a shower in a 5' x 5' space. No spare electrical outlets; overhead lights on bed hard to reach. If you're coming to Ashland for the plays, it's okay as an economical place to stay, but don't expect to spend much time in your room except to sleep.

This place is definitely "vintage," but quite satisfactory, and the price can't be beat. My husband and I were perfectly comfortable.

With just a half-mile from the Manor to the fun of central Ashland, this is a really great location and you can easily walk (or drive) to the Shakespeare Festival and bars, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. On the downside, their internet is *very* spotty and works hardly at all. Also, for what you pay, the room isn't exactly top value. But, for a single night to be just outside central Ashland, it's a good do-drop-in.
