An excellent value in a quiet residential neighborhood, large room with included breakfast buffet. Room had a mini refrigerator so if you order room service for lunch you can save half for dinner!. The gym upstairs is small but it's worth taking the elevator to look out over Medellin. It was possible to walk to Calle 10 although some road construction complicates access. Friendly staff.
Booked to see if the #1 TA rating was justified. While my stay was acceptable, not so sure that the $86USD or 262.000 COP was a good deal. Rooms are clean but dated. Significant noise from outside due to the single pane windows. Will agree that the very late night Epiphany celebrations might be atypical of most nights. Breakfast was decent and the dinner selections were adequate. Staff and management were very professional Be aware that the closest food markets are four blocks away, the building is tucked into a steep hillside. If you like to jog/run be ready for very hilly terrain and narrow sidewalks. Closest metro station is worth a taxi ride due to hills and heavy traffic on Carrea 43A. Not sure that I would repeat a stay due to the numerous lower cost options available near restaurants, shopping, and transportation other than a taxi.
Mainly is a well located hotel with good service for guests, just improve their access cards and mini bar expensive costs. Principalmente un hotel bien localizado con buen servicio para los clientes, mejorar las tarjetas de acceso y sobrecoste del minibar
The hotel is in a safe area close to a major shopping center. The staff for the most part were exceptional. My only complaint it that the desk person strongly suggested that I use the taxis service rather than Uber. In town Uber is much cheaper 4.5- 9 million pesos ($1.50- $3.00!). The posted prices to the airport by Uber is 48 million Columbian pesos. Given the assistance the staff had been providing up to this point, I took a taxi. Well, as you can probably guess, things were not advertised. The meter said 46 million pesos, but the driver insisted on an additional 20 million for the two tolls. The tolls are built into the price in Uber. Lesson learned, take Uber.
I've been in Medellín for business during 5 weeks between september and november; Alejandría was perfect for my stay: the rooms are modern, spacious, great illumination and nice view. The buffet breakfast is large and delicious, also the coffee is lovely. It has 3 laptops in a large desk for working and nice sofas in the lobby for attend to customers. The best place of the hotel is the Sky Club, a rooftop in the 14th with Gym, sauna, jacuzzi and awesome view of El Poblado! The service is unforgettable, the staff remember your name and your preferences. In the whole hotels I've visited, Alejandria's is the most professional and warm-hearted. Finally the location is quite good, in a peaceful street near by walking of Milla de Oro, Zona 2 Sur, Oviedo, Riosur and Parque Lleras.
All staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were neat ,tidy and functional. Not much character. Breakfast is on the ground floor with part seating under canopy outside. The grounds are non excitant, breakfast area is pleasant enough. Breakfast itself was not that inspiring, we were not given a menu so wrongly assumed it was buffet only. After four days it became boring. We had dinner once which was excellent, the food and service were surprisingly good. This hotel has a great location.
Agree location is ideal for restaurants, bars and eateries with nearby mall in walking distance. As on hillside, the coming back is a bit tough! There is a very nice (more expensive restaurant) called La Provincia halfway down hill, but advise booking beforehand. Safe area. Rooms generous size with all mod cons. Free WiFi. Breakfast was fine. Didn't use restaurant for any other meals. You can print your boarding passes here.
Stayed here for 4 days while visiting Medellin. Small but cute hotel with excellent service. The view from the top floor is beautiful. Location is on a hill so be prepared to walk, but it’s not far from everything. Breakfast offered we great along with the excellent coffee. Also had dinner here and the dinner was good too. The only down part is the gym is a bit outdated and our shower kept leaking water out on the floor.
Stayed for 3 nights and had a positive experience for the most part. The staff is extremely friendly, making sure our stay in Medellín was a pleasure. We departed at 5 am and they made sure we had coffee, juice and fruit before we left for the airport. The taxi to and from the airport was 65,000 pesos. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. The beds were a little hard but on the day we were leaving, they were replacing all the beds on the 5th floor. The hotel is a 5,000 - 6,000 pesos taxi drive to the main tourist area in Poblado. If you want a quiet nights rest, this is a good place to stay since many of the hotels closer to the tourist area are not as peaceful because many of the clubs play music well into the morning. On the two tours we took, more than one tourist complained about the noise in the evening surrounding their hotels. Enjoy your time in Medellin and definitely visit Comuna 13.
This is a nice modern hotel located near shopping centres, bard and restaurants. The reception are a I small and extends into the restaurant/ bar area. Rooms are modern with lots of space, twin double beds (comfy), table and 2 are chairs, desk and chair, larger flat screen TV, wardrobe, safety box, and mini bar. The toilet /shower was modern and had free toiletries. Breakfast was good a mix of hot and cold. All in all - a nice experience. The hotel sits on a steep hill so the walk into the shopping areas etc is easy going down but tough coming back up!
