The hotel was excellent but not really walking to anything as it was on a huge hill. however most of Medellin is like that. They were extremely accommodating , letting us print our our boarding tickets, sending food to our room. And even preparing picnic for us to take to the botanical garden. The staff was friendly and polite and had excellent recommendations for a nice dinner. would definitely stay again.
Great hotel and staff. From arrival the concierge takes care of your luggage, you are given a welcome drink. Amenities are great no pool but an awesome turkish bath. Again staff was very attentive when we asked to use the amenities. Located in a quiet area. Great breakfast. Totally worth the price. EXCELLENT HOTEL
We recently hosted a large group of friends visiting us in Medellin from the U.S. I booked this hotel for 3 of the couples because there was just not enough room for everyone in our home. So, I chose this hotel after researching various websites, including this one. So, based on various reviews, and the optimal location, I felt that this hotel would do the trick. However, I regret having made that choice today. My guests were unanimously disappointed, and actually quite upset over the poor servivpce they received. It just so happens that the hotel was going through some sort of remodeling project or some repair jobs, and they had NO hot water for showers. When our friends complained, they were simply confirmed that yes, they had been conducting some repairs for some time and hot water was a problem. We are upset that the hotel made no effort to inform potential guests of this situation on their website. The hotel purposely kept this information so as not to lose business. Their focus was on securing more roomstays rather than customer satisfaction. Additionally, reakfast was very disappointing to everyone. They were looking forward to excellent breakfasts. Instead, they got limited and unattractive choices. They had heard of the amazing fruits so abundant in Colombia, instead they got few and unimpressive selections. For the poor care my friends received, for the lack of openness and honesty shown to them with regard to the hot water issue and the unimpressive breakfast, I cannot give this hotel more than a poor mark. I will never again recommend this place to anyone.
Stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. People where very helpful and genuinely friendly. Being on the side of a hill offers some nice views and healthy uphill walk:-) There are many enjoyable restaurants nearby.
Everything about it makes You feel like royalty. The people are quality and are always there happy to serve You. The views and tranquility are worth every second of the stay. Súper close to everything as well
Nice quiet hotel in the Poblado area of Medellin. Rooms were spacious and modern. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. Wifi, which is free, worked very well throughout hotel. Free parking also available.
The Poblado is an upscale section of Medellin so the setting is very nice. Note that it is very hilly so you need to be in shape to walk around! The staff is incredibly helpful and they have all the services - laundry, business center, and a spa on the roof (which has a spectacular view). The restaurant is good, the breakfasts provide a decent variety. The bar could be improved but that does not detract from the overall impression of the place. My room was large, the layout workable and the bathroom well appointed. One item is problematic - on weekends they have a club thing going off the lobby and the loud music permeates the rooms on the lower floors.
Good customer service, conveniently located in the posh Poblado area. Located on an uphill so would need taxi all the time to go to near by malls and shops so thats the only flip side otherwise nice stay if staying for a shorter term. I stayed for 2 days so did not face any issues.
Staff was really friendly. They were always supportive in everything I needed in no time. I had the chance to book a massage which is highly recommended. Breakfast was mainly Colombian style, however pancakes were also served :D I stayed a week on the 10th floor and the room had a very annoying noise which came from the pipes, mainly at night. Nonetheless, I could say that it is a best value hotel in Medellín,
The hotel is on a hill on a one way street, so sometimes the cab drivers had trouble finding it or trying to find a way to get onto the one way street. It's easily walkable to the main strip with restaurants and bars or you can take a short cab ride. The surrounding area is residential and felt very safe as they were upper middle class homes, some with security guards. The staff is generally nice but in one interaction, we were not done asking our questions before the front desk staff proceeded to help someone check out of their room, leaving us standing there for over 5 minutes without any acknowledgement or apology which was a little rude. There are always cabs parked out front so you can easily get a cab whenever you want. There is a Jacuzzi and small gym on the top floor which has a view of Medellin which was nice to check out. There is free breakfast which was edible but not amazing. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. You can hear people in the hallways but no one on our floor came back super late nor were they loud.
