Not very friendly if you are not an Arab!!!
On arrival we were not greeted in a style which we were expecting! The Male Arab receptionist was extremely Miserable, he informed me that I did not book a room even when I showed him the confirmation on my phone, he then called the reservation dept and handed the phone over to me to speak to him by myself. Eventually the reservationist found my booking and apologised for the inconvenience caused! I did receive the free upgrade for my troubles! The hotel was not up to my exceptions. The only positive remark I would make is that their resturant Manager was very kind and friendly and the chambermaids were also very nice. However the front desk team were a massive let down. The hotel looks very old and tired! And could do with new furniture, TV, etc. I will not be staying at this hotel again! It’s a no way a 5 star deluxe! I would give it maybe a 3 star! Also if you are in a rush to go to the Haraam, you would have to take the lift to the Haraam level, then walk through a very busy shopping centre, down the bridge, and then eventually you will be on the forecourt of the Masjid! To save time and to be treated with respect, please stay at the Hilton suites! That is where I will be staying next time I am going to Makkah In shaa Allah.
