This property was nice but it has not been well maintained, the hot tub was not very clean we where told there was propane for fires they where all empty including the ones for the grill also there is no filter in the hot tub which makes it very unsanitary .like i said it was ok but i would have to think about renting it again .

The house was spacious, every room had a large TV and a cozy bed. There was plenty of space to spread out! Aside from a few minor issues, it was perfect! Thank you!

Property was NOT clean

I wanted to share some serious concerns about the condition of the property upon our arrival. From the moment we walked up to the house, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance had been overlooked. The stairs leading to the entrance were littered with debris that easily could have been swept away.Inside the home, it appeared as if someone had just left without making any effort to clean. There were dirty dishes in the sink and dishwasher, food crumbs and sticky residue on the counters, and what looked like marker drawings on the countertops—likely from a child. In the master closet, we found cards and baby toys scattered on the floor, along with a large water stain on the carpet in the master bedroom.The carpeting on the stairs was filthy, covered in dirt and debris. The overall lack of cleanliness raised concerns about whether the bedding had even been washed. We attempted to do laundry but found there was no detergent—and worse, the washing machine was full of black mold. Absolutely disgusting.Outside, the hot tub and sitting area were completely neglected, covered in dirt and clearly not cleaned for quite some time. It was uninviting and unusable.This experience was incredibly disappointing and far below any reasonable standard for a rental property. I would never recommend this property to anyone. I have photos documenting everything I’ve mentioned, and I’m happy to provide them if needed.Mark Weiand

Great house - great set up for families

This house is beautiful. It is rustic and positioned beautifully in the woods on the mountain. Great location - close to the lake, close to the waterpark, close to the playground. Our kids loved the video games and the movie theatre in the basement. The loft was a great area for families to hang out. We had a great visit and would come again.

Never the Last Run

Very well described property. Very clean. Everything was just how we expected it to be. Very comfortable beds and tons of great amenities. The host was also very communicative which was helpful. This was my first VRBO and we will definitely be back.

Family JMU visit

Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the overall cleanliness of this home. To start off we had our first family dinner after traveling all day and preparing dinner we reached for the dishes to set the table and the first 3 dinner plates where dirty as where the salad bowls and flatware then the glasses too!!! All put away without being washed!! Food was still on all the dishes! The master bath room has a large window with NO shade so we had to find a large throw blanket from the living room to cover the window for privacy as it was facing a main road with traffic and people walking! The very large fan in the living room had a pile of dust on it! As did the bedroom fans through out the house. Most bathrooms had at least one light bulb missing! The grill is in need of a deep clean and replacement of the rusted burner covers!! To add to the disappointment the grill was out of propane and the spare tank was empty as well so my husband had to drive and get propane. Both French doors are rotted and need to be replaced. The furniture is much too large and there is no room to pass around the furniture! The exterior steps leading to the entrance door are extremely steep and can be dangerous if your not careful. There is black MOLD in the master shower. Broken toilet paper holder in the master one of the toilets as there are two doesn’t have a toilet paper holder… This home needs some serious TLC and is not a 5 star VRBO I would give it a 2

Relaxing and Wonderful Getaway

This house was a wonderful place for our quick family getaway. The game rooms, movie room, relaxing areas out on the deck, the jacuzzi, and the cozy bedrooms made us feel right at home. We loved our stay!

Great Place for family!

Thoroughly enjoyed all of the things this house has to offer- especially the ping pong and pool tables and the movie theatre. The kids loved the game room! The beds were extremely comfortable as well.

Annual Motorcycle Trip

Only 3 of us this year so plenty of house for us. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The home theater and hot tub were great for the one day we didn’t go on a ride. The only complaint was listed in another review- the window in the master bathroom really needs a curtain or shade installed. All in all a great place to serve as a base for our trip. Kelly was very prompt answering any questions we had.

Spring Break 2024

I brought my family to Massanutten because I wanted to show them Harrisonburg, JMU, and wanted to get together with old friends. This cabin was perfect for my large family to enjoy the trip.

Massanutten Fun

Very nice cabin with lots to do and plenty of room to spread out. The house is well laid out with all new furniture, flooring and amenities. The owners and management have done an excellent job providing a very clean and comfortable VRBO!

Excellent Cabin

Our family of 3 booked a weekend with another family of 4 and this house was perfect. We were a little nervous booking since it was brand new with no reviews but we are so glad we did. Hopefully this review helps the next family looking! There are a few minor kinks to work out but overall we had a great trip. The house is in great condition with beautiful artwork, furniture, & decor throughout. It has the log cabin feel you want in the mountains but with modern amenities. Our family stayed in the master on the first floor and put the portable crib in the giant closet - which was perfect for the baby (no windows to worry about light, and we used an extension cord to plug the baby monitor in & ran the cord under the door). The bathroom was nice and spacious (but has two toilets for some reason?). However, a shade on the bathroom window would be nice for privacy. The upstairs was 3 bedrooms and a full bath, with a lofted area containing a pool table and couch/tv. The other family shared the upstairs and their kids had a blast sleeping in the bunk beds. The basement was the holy grail for kids, between the ping pong table, the arcade games, and of course the movie theater. The adults all enjoyed the hot tub on the deck after snowboarding (/chasing kids around!) A few items didn’t work (fireplace, 1 tv) but management did send a new keurig when we said the one they had was broken. They provided many essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, etc. Great trip!
