I was just browsing on here and I came across this infested place that I visited for my nephew's wedding. Management apologized to every person that had a complaint, but I didn't get one. I definitely deserved it. In fact, that place should be trying to gather my family's mailing address and hand write an apology to explain why were treated so poorly with an attached check made out to my father for a complete refund. And Comfort Inn people, stop getting people to write awesome reviews. If you look at my pics that I posted, you can tell how disgusting it is.
Stayed 5 nights visiting area for family wedding; motel quiet and clean; comfortable beds; plenty of good breakfast choices and great staff; only complaint was with the wifi connection; two of us in a room and only one of our phones/iPads seemed to connect at a time and the other would never connect! Somewhat frustrating but we managed fine otherwise!
Stayed here one night while traveling to New Orleans to go on a week long Carnival cruise. The place stunk and felt old and icky. I was disappointed in Comfort Inn and should've stayed at Holiday Inn Express where you know the quality is great. Wouldn't recommend this place!
I stayed at comfort Inn in Brookhaven MS an my experience was amazing. The room was clean the staff was nice. They offered a continental breakfast but i slept in. Linens were also well kept. I would choose this hotel over any other in area.
Our room was on the 1st floor with outside doors and parking. The room was nice and comfortable. At 8:00 p.m. we heard stomping non stop. At 10:00 p.m. my husband called the front desk to let them know about our two hour STOMPING above us. She said she would call them. The stomping got worse. At 10:20p.m. I called back to let her know it was worse. We were in bed and wanting to sleep. She told me the only thing she could do was move us. I suggested she move them. She said she couldn't that they had been there for a few weeks and were FEMA people. The stomping kept going. What the heck was going on up there? We finally fell asleep. The next morning we told the desk clerk how terrible our stay was and she said sorry. Very disappointed in the staff at this hotel. Will not stay here again because of the situation.
Though we weren't expecting anything extraordinary, we were a little disappointed with Brookhaven's Comfort Inn. The parking lot was decently lit, but there weren't many spots available due to several commercial vehicles taking up 5+ spots each. The rooms were decent, though they did feel quite outdated and rather dingy. I didn't get the feeling that they were necessarily unclean, they simply weren't what I typically expect out of a hotel room. The bathroom was clean and functional. The door to the room, however, managed to scare us several times. We'd close and lock it, only to find our family could easily enter the room due it not actually latching. Granted, we should probably check and verify that the door actually latched before just assuming that it does, it still startled us a little bit since we entered and exited quite a bit. We didn't partake in breakfast, so I can't provide any good input there. The fitness center, though, wasn't very much. It was small and provided virtually no privacy with the entire room being visible from the parking lot. Overall, it was simply average to below average. I slept well and the beds were comfortable. However, it certainly wouldn't be my first choice next time.
We stayed here on our way back home. The check in clerk was very friendly. When we got to our room the lights in the sitting area did not work. We called down to the office and the girl came up right away and put in new bulbs. The bathroom door need some work as you had to really push the door shut then pull hard to open. The bed was very comfortable however the hair dryer and the TV remote were very dirty. The housekeeping staff needs to clean these items when they clean the rooms every time. The breakfast room is small but the breakfast was standard.
Met all my expectations clean rooms and friendly service. Well lite parking area and good food is within walking distance. Walmart is just across the parking lot. I didn't go down for the breakfast, but next time I will. If I had to stay anywhere, this would be the place.
We were traveling and stopped here for one night. The room appeared to be clean enough and in moderate upkeep. However, when we turned back the covers to get into bed there was a "Roach" between the sheets. We checked the room over and found no more so decided to stay in the room as we had already paid and make the most of a bad situation, and did not report it that night. However at checkout the next morning I did report it to the desk clerk who took our phone number and said she would report it to her manager. We never heard anything from them at all. They had our money and that was all they wanted. The breakfast wasn't much but, typical for this "range" of hotel. I will not stay here again, and will not recommend to friends or family.
Even if there is absolutely NO other motels available, PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!! Find a better location even if it means driving farther. My elderly parents and my husband and I stayed here last weekend for a wedding. We requested rooms close together, which were not. I felt afraid when the sun set because there were these men that just hung out in the parking lot, grilling on their tailgate, and every time I went to my parents' room, they terrified me by hollering at me and yelling for me to join them. I'm not sure if they were even guests at Comfort Inn, because in the two days, my husband would just see them loitering around the truck, drinking heavily. My husband worried for my safety and had to follow me just about every time we left the room. When we checked into our room, the phone didn't work. I had to call from my parents' room to inform them, and even their phone was so staticky that I could barely hear them from their phone. They said that they would send a technician right away. In the meantime, I showered and noticed what looked like blood all over the door. I don't know if you can upload pics on Yelp, as I just downloaded it specifically to forewarn people about this place. I usually do not complain about anything, but I feel this place needs to be shut down. While getting ready, I noticed that the electrical outlets and hairdryer around the bathroom mirror didn't work!!!! We waited and waited and tech never showed. The next day, yet again I called to tell them our phone still didn't work, and informed them about the hair dryer and outlets that didn't work. The lady said that she would send someone right up. Well, it never happened. We never had phone service, electrical outlets still didn't work and we are trying to get ready for a wedding, despite having limited use of just about everything in our hotel!!!! My final call to the front desk was worthless yet again. The woman at the desk said she was going to get a manager to call my parents' room and my cellphone. It never happened. When we checked out my dad and I again told them of our problems. She clicked her computer in a frantic for about 20 minutes, and my dad said he had never been treated so poorly at a hotel where you're supposed to feel safe and inconvenienced. The lady never said a word. She kept on clicking. We didn't even get an apology, much less a reimbursement. I finally said that this was the most ridiculous place I've ever stayed out, and we walked out. In my 33 years of staying in hotels, this place is the nastiest, sleaziest, unsafe and nonfunctional place I've ever stayed and for 2 nights and two rooms, the bill was around $500. The staff were useless liars and didn't care one bit about trying to accommodate and please their customers. If you want to feel safe, especially with little ones, and have a fully functional hotel with a staff who cares, this is not the place for you.
