I had canceled the reservation I don't know why it still went through I called the hotel I called orbits the third party reservation service wish they made the reservation through Expedia I need to find whereabouts of refunding my money I did the cancellation 20 in between the 24 hours as a matter of fact it was after a few minutes after I made the reservation

Not a typical springhill design at least not in my experience. I don't travel as much as some but I have stayed with this chain in multiple cities and states. Don't like the bathroom design. Sliding doors makes you feel like your in a closet. Staff was reluctant to provide things like additional towels soaps and even plastic cutlery packs. My reservation was for 5 had 3 towels only. The girl was troubled. By me asking for more. I have a wife and 2 daughters all with long hair 1 shampoo isn't enough but this also bothered her. Luckily I'm smart enough to know that booking all your days at a new hotel at one time can be bad for your trip so I moved to another hotel the next day. Same chain still Marriott but a more pleasant place.
Awesome rate and sized room for a family of 4 with 2 kids. Loved the spacious suite style that accommodated children and their toys. Very clean pool and gym facitly with clean towels, large lobby and delicious breakfast. What a continental breakfast should look and taste like.

I was pleasantly surprised at the room make up. A lot of thought went into that - not a cookie cutter of the majority of rooms I have stayed in. Thank you for having a shower instead of shower tub combo. I know I will stay there whenever I am in the area, and also in her sister hotels wherever my destination is.

The hotels facilities were good and apparently all the rooms were recently renovated before our stay. But both my husband and daughter were greatly affected with allergies during our stay. It must have been mildew/mold...there was no apparent odor, but they both had trouble breathing. This was not a problem when we were not on the property. The second night we asked to change rooms, but there was no great improvement in my family´s condition.
This is a clean, continent, safe, and well kept hotel for a very affordable price.
Easy check in. The hot breakfast was good, it was more than just the cold cereal and Danish that is the usual fair. We didn't use the workout room but it would have been to our standards. We also skipped the mixer in the evening, although the food looked very nice. (we had just eaten) We will probably stay here again in a couple weeks.
Very warmy staff, room and lobby are very clean, my daughter enjoyed the pool ann my wife and I used the fitness area. Breakfast was great, great benefits for the cost.

Good location close to the airport, shopping, and restaurants. I was in McAllen on business for a couple of days, The hotel is clean and has a happy hour every night with some kind of "mystery" meat and wine and beer. The staff is helpful and friendly and the rooms well at least my room was okay. I'm not sure if they have issues were the plumbing system but everytime the person above me flushed the toilet or took a shower I would hear what sound like pipes clanking or hitting the walls and that woke me up several times during my stay so needless to say a goodnight sleep never happened,

The refund would need to go through the 3rd party you used to book the reservation.
