Really good - Our room was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. All the staff was friendly. Water pressure was good in shower. No unpleasant smells. Easy check in and out. Internet was easy to access and decent speed. So-so - The food fell pretty short compared to other Drury's we have stayed in, less selection, warm stuff not very warm. the bathroom in our king room was very tight and small. Other - The décor has obviously been updated recently and has many pleasing aspects. The layout was very different from other Drury's we have visited, but they made it work with good furniture placement in the public areas and low key color combos to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Stayed here for business. All the staff was very friendly and helpful and one of the main reasons I would stay here again. I actually stayed here two different weeks once stayed in room 230 very quiet. No real view but that was ok with me. Second time stayed in 327. A little more noise than before there was a herd of "elephants" above me one evening but I called and personally spoke to staff and they said they would check on it which they did and the kids above calmed down. Rooms clean. Nice that they have soda and popcorn for you in the evening along with bake potatoes, salad, soup, hot dogs, rice, beans, tortilla and chips which fill you up enough you don't have to go out for dinner. Pool and hot tubs clean. Breakfast was waffles, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, bananas yogurt etc. the coffee in room was one of those slide and throw away. Coffee fair, but I'm picky, so I probably shouldn't post that. Overall great service and clean rooms

I have been customer of Drury Suites of McAllen for a long time. I live in Monterrey but often I have to travel to McAllen. I always received an excellent service. Good prices, friendly staff, excellent rooms... However, something has changed... last time ... past weekend... first... they didn't offer me the usual discount... ok.. no problem... but then... in the night ... I went to take some red bulls, chocolates... I usually pay these items on the checkout.., terrible mistake... a guy named Joey yelled at me: "Eso es robando Mr. Pruneda" (that is stealing)... "I was watching you in the cameras" ... "I am going to call the police... let's see what they think about that"... ok ok... when I argued with him that I am not a criminal... he told me that in USA things are different... I have had tourist visa since I was 4 years old... I have had TN (I worked as software engineer in CitiGroup), student visa (I studied a graduated courses in USA)... so, ... is not totally clear for me how now things are different in USA... robando is robando... here and in China... he meant that because I am Mexican I think that stealing is good?? I don't understand... but... be careful when you take snacks... next time.. if you are Mexican... may be they won't be so kind.. may they will shoot you...

Stayed at this hotel this past weekend! Also clean and the beds are so comfortable. Employees are always friendly and helpful. I had a late check-in, but room was available and plenty of parking in the front lot.

Drury Hotel is very near to Downtown and another stores, excellent place to sleep and prepare barbecue, it has cute palace to watch tv, jacuzzy and pool area people are very friendly, I'm sure that I'ii back

We stayed at the Drury Suites for the second half of our spring break. My husband and I had our 9 and 5 year olds in tow and they were looking forward to swimming and enjoying the hotel. The front desk staff is very helpful and polite. We were checked in easily. The lobby is very clean and modern. They have a 5:30 - 7:00 warm appetizer time and it is fantastic! After exploring McAllen, our kids were hungry! My husband often wanted to get BBQ and the kids weren't into that much, so having another option was perfect! They changed the evening food options and to call what they offered appetizers is a bit misleading. I would call what they offered meals. Chicken fingers, tacos, pastas with different sauces, hot dogs, chips with cheese and salsa and free soda for the kids. It was awesome! They also offered adults three drinks per evening, the bartender was amazing and super friendly. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star is because the pool was like an ice bath! We're from Minnesota and were really hoping to get some good pool time in. The pool is also located on the freeway side and can be a bit noisy. The hot tub was great. Very warm and our kids did eventually brave the freezing pool to swim after warming up in the hot tub. Our room was located on the 4th floor, it was very quiet and I never heard any other guests our entire stay. Our room was always cleaned, which was nice to come back to after being out and about. I would definitely say the hotel is kid/family friendly. They have lots of seating and tv's to watch while you eat the food. They also offer breakfast, but they offered the same items each day we stayed, which was a bit of a disappointment. The eggs were okay, they also offered oatmeal with brown sugar, raisins, etc. They had super delicious waffles with syrup. They had biscuits and gravy as well. A machine had orange juice and apple juice and they had regular and decaf coffee. It appeared there was a professional convention of some sort (lots of state troopers in our hotel) but the pool area and hot tub were always relatively empty, which was great. One morning, we had the pool area all to ourselves. If we return to the McAllen area, we will definitely stay here again.

Stopped staying at Drury because we thought they were getting overpriced for the outdated look and amenities. Then we stayed at one in Austin on last business trip and were impressed so we decided to book Drury in McAllen like we used to. Glad we did. They've really stepped up their game. Good, clean updated rooms, great service and staff. They really are back, and back in our rotation of business travel hotels.

Drury offers a great package. Breakfasts are great. The options are numerous. The eveNing buffet with drinks thrown in was generous and tasty. Very quiet in the hotel, albeit the pool area in this McAllen Inn was closed to the freeway than I would have liked. The hot tub was hot and the outdoor pool temp was great and for mid Feb, I was happily surprised.

Nice hotel, the rooms were clean, comfortable and staff was friendly. They had a happy hour buffet on Sunday afternoon serving chips with queso and hot dogs that was very good. Will stay there on the next trip to McAllen

Very comfortable place. Staff is super attentive. Well kept and a joy to come to after a long day at work. The breakfast and dinner menu could use a little sprucing up, but still much better than other places that I've stayed before.
