We have just returned from an amazing 10 nights at Sandy Lane end. We have never been so well looked after by the most friendliest people you could ever meet. Christel greeted us & looked after us during our stay. The accommodation was ideal, clean & Omesh,s towel art was amazing. Josie looked after us in the main restaurant whilst Ansuya, Anoop (more white wine Boss!) & Anaelle were brilliant at the Sandy Lane 'a la carte' restaurant! The food throughout was excellent! Nishal & Davilen ensured we were kept topped up with drink & the Sandy Lane bar was an amazing place to watch the sunset over a beer & cocktail. Don't book anything until you've spoken to Bradley on the beach, he will get you a better deal on all the trips, we did the catamaran island trip & it was first class! Did we want to come home - No! Would we go back - Yes absolutely! Thank you everyone at 'Veranda Pointe Aux Biches' for making our holiday perfect xx

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights for our honeymoon and we had an amazing time. It was pure relaxation, which is just what we needed after planning a wedding! We also booked transfers through the hotel, which were ideal (80 Euros return), and our check-in was friendly and seamless. There is a lovely strip of beach joined on to the hotel, with plenty of sun loungers, leading down to a shallow area of sea in which you could paddle, swim, kayak and use paddle boards (the use of which were included during our stay). The communal areas of the hotel itself also largely have sand floors, including the bars, so it is very much a beach location! There are also a couple of pools, however we made more use of the beach and sea. In addition, the hotel runs shuttles to various places nearby. We took a free trip to Trou aux Biches, where we were taken out in a glass bottom boat and given time to snorkel around the coral reef. This was well worth doing, the snorkelling was amazing. In addition, if you wanted to come back from the beach early, Trou aux Biches is only a 20 min walk from the hotel. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and happy to help. They checked up on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was ok, and the bar staff were happy to have a joke with us throughout the evening! The housekeeping staff were great, our room was spotless and there were towel animals left on our bed each day which was a lovely touch. There were also staff tending to the gardens and paths each day and making sure it was presentable. We stayed in a privilege room, which was nice and spacious. I am not sure whether these rooms differ from those at the other side of the hotel. There was a mini-bar in our room (all inclusive), which included beer, juice, coke, water and peanuts. This was a nice inclusion, but would have benefited from some wine. Our all inclusive did however include a wide range of drinks at the bar including wine, beer and lots of cocktails. We went all inclusive and stayed in the Sandy Lane side of the hotel, which is definitely worth doing if you are travelling as a couple. This meant that we were able to make use of the Sandy Lane bar and the a la carte restaurant, as well as the Footloose bar and buffet style restaurant (which are available to all guests). The Sandy Lane side of the hotel was very relaxing. It is adult only, so the bar has more relaxed feel in the evenings. The restaurant at Sandy Lane offers a 4 course menu each evening, except for on Sundays. It is however only open for dinner, so breakfast and lunch are in the buffet style restaurant. We also used the buffet restaurant and bar at the other side of the hotel throughout our stay. The buffet restaurant offers a really good wide selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which changes each day. The Footloose bar is far busier than the Sandy Lane bar and is where the evening entertainment is held. The entertainment during our stay was a few hours of musical performance each evening. Whilst it was nice to sit and listen to, it was by no means the most lively hotel in the evening. This suited us generally, as we were there to relax, but it would have been nice to have a bit more variation. We would definitely stay again if we went back to Mauritius, and these minor gripes by no means detracted from our stay, but were small things we picked up on which could be improved: - WiFi- there is free WiFi throughout the hotel which was fast enough for our general browsing/use of YouTube. It even worked as far as the beach. It did however time out when not used and meant we had to log in every few hours. You could also only use each log in for one device. -Each time we had a drink or a meal, we had to give our room number and sign a receipt, which got a bit wearing. We assumed this is to keep tabs on who was all-inclusive, however there must be an easier (and more paperless) way of doing this. Each hotel we have been to in the past simply has all inclusive wrist-bands which works well. -When the buffet restaurant was busy, there was no real system for getting a table. We were asked to wait at the bar for a table to become available, which was fine, however others simply walked in and sat down (which was the general approach when not busy). The lack of system also meant that we could be half way through our meal before we got drinks. As the restaurant is open-sided, there are also a lot birds flying in and out during breakfast and lunch. Whilst we didn't have any particular issue with this, it does mean that you can't leave food unattended! Overall it is a lovely hotel, with great people, and we would love to return in the future!

Just returned from a brilliant experience at the hotel. It was our second visit to the hotel 10 years after our first and it was just as good as we remembered. The staff at Sandy Lane, especially Anoop and "Crazy Girl" - Ayesha at the restaurant were excellent, and Niechef at the bar kept us suitably hydrated. Just three minor gripes- 1. The WiFi needs sorting. Painful when you need to keep on signing in every time you want to read your emails or check Facebook. 2. It took two hours to open the safe after we had reported we had a problem when the number was entered incorrectly. 3. Need to speed up delivery of the drinks at lunchtime when you sit down to eat. Would be nice to have the drinks with the lunch and not at the end. These are minor gripes, which did not spoil a great holiday. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will return, hopefully not leaving it as long as we did this time.

I like to write my reviews in situ so here goes.... We’re 3 days in to our 10 day stay and everything so far has blown us away. We upgraded to sandy lane village which is definitely worth the money. From the second we arrived the staff have been so welcoming and friendly. Check in was quick which we were pretty chuffed about after our 23 hr journey! We were shown around the hotel by Cristal who is super nice. Our room is lovely, lots of space and places to hang clothes. Mini bar was fully stocked which is never a bad thing and toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The hotel grounds are stunning, lots of care and attention goes into the gardens and it seems to be round the clock. Pools are clean and lots of beds, the sandy lane village pool is gorgeous. Pretty setting and lots of seats to look out over the balcony to enjoy the sea view. The food in both sandy land grill and senses are top notch. Sandy lane is a 4 course set menu and senses is buffet. The beach is perfect, white sand, blue sea and drinks! Perfection! Now for the absolute best bit.... Seven Colours Spa..... OMG! We’ve just come back from a Mauritian full body massage (for him), a body scrub and a back massage (for me) by Fiona and Stacey... quite possibly the best massage of my life. a perfect setting for your relaxation and pampering, it will not disappoint. The Spa is an absolute MUST! Looking forward to revisiting this beautiful hotel in the future X

The staff is super friendly. The location of the property is breathtaking. Food is amazing too and the ambience you get wether it be morning or evening, is just awesome. I would love to visit again. Great experience overall.

Veranda Pointe aux Biches was absolutely fabulous! We had and awesome family holiday. Staff were super! Everything from the food and entertainment, right through to the kids club were great. Facilities were beautiful, yet I loved the relaxed bare foot vibe. Would love to visit again.

Just got back from 16 days of staying in Veranda Pointe Aux Biches Hotel and it's like paradise, couldn't fault anything, we got upgraded immediately a free 15 foot massage is offered and the staff are really friendly and helpful with anything. The entertainment team are brilliant especially Ronnie and Diddier, there is different entertainments on each night and lots of activities to do during the day at the hotel itself. The main restaurant gives a variety of food and the staff are very helpful, Fardeen and his team did an amazing job of making sure everything was fine for us and organising my birthday. The bar staff at the footloose bar could be friendlier when ordering drinks and have more staff on during the night especially when more people arrive however they do have an amazing selection of cocktails to choose from and I also think the all inclusive hours could be put on longer. Trips, Please go to Bradley on the beach, he's a genuine guy and does amazing trips for half the price, from swimming with dolphins to safari quad biking, we went on three trips through Bradley and can't fault any of them. He has his license to show you if your not 100% sure and he's a very friendly guy, please don't be afraid to book your trips with him!! Over all we had a fantastic holiday and will be coming back! It has been an amazing experience Thank you Veranda and your team From Tia and Kelsis

Had an amazing honeymoon here such a lovely place, and food was amazing. Was in a great location to get around the island and when we were at the hotel it was an amazing place to relax and enjoy the lovely view of the sea. Can't wait to go back.

we were staying at the Plage bleu apartments. we booked a dinner on the beach. the staff are wonderful. the food was stunning, the atmosphere. they had a guitar player on the beach serenading guests. the staff were amaing. the only complaint would be portions of the rack of lamb and lobster were a bit small. We were so impressed with everything we are looking at booking for our next holiday. loved the placed.

We wanted to have a relaxing stay ...Veranda made that possible. From the minute we arrived we felt like we got to a place, where we felt very comfortable. The reastaurant and the bar were very good. And last but not least the staff was very friendly and gorgeous. Thank you for giving us a memorable stay. And very special thanks to (in alphabetical order ;-)): Alvinio, Christel, Clarel, Josie, Nilesh, Richa, Ronnie, Saneta, Shemi, Sunny, Yash .... you are great!!
