This was our maiden visit to Maui. There was no staff welcoming, no garlanding or even smiles. There are two main buildings, north and south. We had to wait for 20 minutes before I approached the valet who asked me to go to the south wing (Something which need not take this long). This suggested their lack of promptness. The concierge staff was polite, but could be more efficient (they kept pushing us to schedule a visit to their sister facility which we were clearly not interested in doing). The welcoming was not as friendly, but the staff was pleasant. The rooms are humongous and spacious. The staff very friendly and the place is near the renowned front st (for shopping, most luaus and fun water activities). Mahalo for listening and aloha!

This hotel was beautiful, the grounds kept immaculate, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect.

My sister and I always stay at the Westin when visiting Maui or Kauai. We particularly love this villa because of the condo-like feel with hotel amenities. The pool which looks out onto the private beach never ceases to amaze us.

Wow! What an amazingly beautiful resort. Upon check in we welcomed with the good news that our studio reservation was being upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen! Loved everything about our stay at the Westin aside from the long walk from the lobby to our room.

Have stayed at this hotel twice in the past couple years, both experiences have been excellent. The bonuses of this location are the amenities, you can make meals in your room, you can do laundry, if you have a 1 bedroom you have a 'spare' room which is extremely nice. The spa-sauna's are open 24/7 and are fantastic for after a trip to the beach, or arriving home after a late tour of the Island - perfect to relax and look at the stars. Only downside is that the resort could be cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

We loved it there! From everything to the goldfish ponds to the rocking chairs to the awesome pools! We had a wonderful time! The brunch was plentiful and the staff was top notch. We'll definitely come back!

Great hotel, with roomy suite and nice large balcony with ocean view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurants were excellent.

Beautiful location with the best beach on the island. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here multiple times. Always predictably good. Location, amenities, friendly helpful staff. Since you're never gonna find the perfect spot, it's fair to point out that the parking sucks (the spaces are scooter-sized) and the bathrooms must have been designed by Rube Goldberg. No privacy, shower door leaks and bathroom lights wake up anyone trying to sleep in bedroom. But those are not deal-breakers and overall--yes, we WILL be going back!

The Property is beautiful and well maintained. As it's just North of the major Kaanapali hotel area its quiet witch is exactly whag we wanted. They have 2 Van routs that take you to the Whalers Village and downtown Lahainia. It's a very convienient hotel perk. There is NO resort fee andonly $10.00 to self park. We had a studio room garden view and we upgraded as we were SPG members. They Only thing to avoid are the timeshare presentations. They are not 100% No Pressure as they say they are. Some employees are rude and unprofessional if you decline ALL offers. And you will be offered many options.

This was an excellent first family vacation. With a 3 year old and a 9 month old we were slightly worried however those worries were soon gone. About a 30 min drive from OGG our first view was of a beautiful lobby filled with friendly staff. Our room was amazing with a microwave, washer and dryer, dishwasher and stove. Our view was spectacular with easy access to all the pools and fantastic restaurants. Hotel staff were so friendly throughout our trip with help and suggestions for excursions and local spots. The beach access was so close and the beach was beautiful and the clear waters with amazing fish meant an awesome view for an excited 3 year old just steps into the water. I cannot recommend this hotel with enough stars! Thank you!

We stayed here for 3 nights - 4 days. the hotel is very well managed and has staff is friendly. It is kids friendly. the only issue is every thing here is very expensive. need to pay for parking. restaurants are expensive. the positive thing about these villas is that each room has a fully loaded kitchen. so if you plan to cook then it is a good choice if not you will end up spending a fortune.

Hotel is at a Great Location. Great View. Front Street (Main Street in Lahaina where there are lots on restaurants etc) is at driving distance. Overall great location and great experience.

Went to the West in for our honeymoon and loved every second. Location and resort were amazing. Food was good, but Lahaina just down the street was a lot of fun. Went golfing, snorkeling, and diving. Ka'anapali had a lot to do. Would go back again. Also... separate kids pool located away from main pool and beach (saw kids but never heard them... Nice).

This hotel was so pretty and perfect you knew you were in paradise. The staff was awesome, the room was insanely awesome, the pools and the beach were amazing. It was super family friendly though so if you don't want to be in a place with a lot of kids, this might not be the place for you.

Overall, the Westin at Ka'anapali was great. The location is located on the beach with some of the best snorkeling at your doorstep. The facilities are new and well maintained. The room was great and the kitchenette and washer/dryer combo provides a great sense of freedom. The one negative is the restaurants (Ocean Front and Pailolo). The food was mediocre and overpriced. The servers were friendly, but were inexperienced and moderately uncomfortable. There are so many great restaurants just a short drive away, so we mostly ate off site or brought food in.

Be aware that if you are staying in the north side of the complex expect to have some sewage odor come your way. Apparently this resort is right next door to a sewage open filed and the smell is inescapable. We had to change our room three times!!! Also their ocean view rooms are very deceptive. They gave us a room with a partial ocean view on the first floor that was mostly blocked by trees and they categorize that as ocean view so before you spend the extra bucks make sure you could actually see the ocean. Overall I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. On a positive note, the beach in front of the resort is great for swimming and snorkeling.

The place was very clean and worth the price for 1 week. I was comfortable. The hotel offers complimentary valet parking in your first night. It also gives you the option whether you would like to park it yourself during your stay. Parking lot is wide enough. If you want to just become comfortable with washer and dyer book the villas. The villas have access to any of the pools and playgrounds and the beach which is right there. The whether during December on this side of the island is wet, but just drive 5 minutes to Lahaina and you will get full sunshine. The staff here is very friendly especially the valet parking staff and the cleaning staff. They will even help you with luggage. Just leave a little bit of tip especially if your staying a little longer than 2 days. I stayed for a week and at the end, I had groceries which I left for the cleaning people. The front desk said that it makes them happy. There's free wifi, the front desk gave me free breakfast for 2-3 days, I believe which is a breakfast buffet card for two you can get at the cafe by the pool. The food is not bad and is plenty for the price. Also, there's a washer and dryer which is very convenient for people who love to swim and surf. I washed my clothes before I went home just so I don't have to do laundry when I get back. At Christmas time, there are programs in the hotel and you can also meet Santa and take nice pictures for $5-10. Everything is close by like the Whaler's Village and Lahaina Harbor where you can learn how to surf with Maui Waveriders or Maui Surf Clinics. They are awesome! Anyway for 7 days, I only paid just a little bit over $1000 with car rental for all 7 days. It's a great deal!!! Best of all, I felt at home!

The Westin Ocean Resort Villas are perfect for families. The pool(s) are great for kids of all ages and the snorkeling at the beach doesn't get any better...and is just outside your doorstep to boot! We have 3 kids (ages 8,6 & 3) and they were easily entertained for a week. I would not recommend this for couples looking for a private get-away because the hotel is so family friendly and there are kids everywhere, but for a family vacation, it doesn't get any better. The lounge is a great perk that could be easily overlooked as it is perfect for that awkward time between check-out and when you have to leave for the airport - offering showers, changing rooms and a lounge area with a TV. A+ all the way!

Fantastic place for families. Our rooms were large, clean and had all amenities. My only complaint was our toaster did not work. We needed a high chair, called the desk and within a half hour the chair was delivered. The staff were all very helpful and happy, but what would you expect we were in Hawaii. Morning buffet was great at the Ocean Grill and Patio.
