We had a great stay! Went there for our honeymoon and stayed there for 6 days. The room was super clean and was very up to date with the furniture and kitchen. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that is traveling.
We stayed 4 nights. Although the don't change towels very often everything else was absolutely wonderful. Pool spotless, lawn beautiful, proximity to the beach was wonderful.
Great location, units are little bit outdated, it would be great if they installed low flush toilets and flexible hose shower heads
We liked the location overall. It was right off the beach and our room had a nice view. Wish they would switch out the towels more often. The kitchen unit was nice to have. The mattress was a little a firm buta typical 3 star hotel mattress.
Always love staying at Hale Pau Hana where you're just steps from one of South Maui's best beaches, but also close to every service you'd possibly need. Room was a bit dated but very clean, and we appreciated the mid-week fresh towels and sheet changes.
Easy drive from airport, close to several nice beaches and shopping.
We stayed in a condo which was on the ground level, it was a great view. Close to water and wonderful beach. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Hotel is in a fantastic location compared to other condos in kihei in this price range this has the best location by far with a fantastic beach and close proximity to restuarants and other favorite attractions of the area. Don't expect the Ritz as far as the room goes, it is out dated and bed was stiff. House keeping does come x 3 a week and the front desk staff are very nice! We will be back.
Great location directly on a beautiful beach where you can snorkel, boogie board and lay out. They have a pool outside with a nice area to grill out (they have a grill there too). Many restaurants are literally right across the street and in the center of all of the things we did there for a week. The only downfall is the noise. At night I could hear the people next door in their room. If anyone is walking outside you can hear it as if you had your window open. We ended up sleeping on the living room pull out couch because the noise was so bad.
First you have to understand that this is not a fancy 5-star resort with marble walls, ancient statues and lots of bling. Once you realize that you will love this resort. It's ON THE BEACH, it is in a very nice town of Kihei with easy accessibility to awesome restaurants and other entertainment. It's minutes away from other beaches and the best dive shop on the island (Ed Robinson's Diving). The condo we had was spacious, had a nice modern LCD TV, free internet (so you can watch Netflix through your laptop) and was decently clean. The resort also has grills that are awesome for late night grilling while enjoying starry ocean view. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't require fancy $500/night hotel resorts.
The condo kitchen was poorly stocked: no BBQ tools, foil, salt and pepper, etc.. I do not expect to have to purchase these items when staying in an "fully-equipped kitchen"! Also no beach chairs or ice chest. Again, not acceptable. In addition, the pool was closed for renovations! We would NEVER had reserved here had we known that!! Disappointing trip.
This place was well maintained and had everything the bigger places did like a nice little swimming pool and easy access to the beach. One negative is the condo can get hot in the afternoons and there is only one small air conditioner in the bedroom.
great scuba diving whale watching from the room bring binoculars hotel has webcam of ocean check website
We went swimming, snorkeling went to the Old Lahaina luau which was disappointing. The food was simple and the show was ordinary. For the price we pay I was expecting more. The Hale Pau Hana was old, the unit was extremely hot no central a/c the old air-conditioner was noisy. No housekeeping service everyday which I think was very stingy. Garbage not remove everyday, cockroach in the bathroom and bedroom. No shampoo. Very disappointing for the price and for the review which was not true when I was reading other people's comments.
Extremely easy check in, and even easier check out, right at HPH. Our unit had an amazing view, and was well kept and stocked by the owners (#503). It had a lived in feel, in a good way, and was well set up for our stay. You are paying for the location, and it is WELL worth it, the small cost difference between HPH and other condos in the area is nothing compared to what you wake up to every morning here.
Wonderful from the moment we walked in the room. It was like coming home everything was so grand and lovely. The location was awesome, the amenenties were great, awesome views, wonderful staff helpful knowledgeable. Great beach for snorkeling, swimming, or just to look at can't say enough good things about this hotel. If i go back to Maui we will stay there most definantly..
its my third time in this hotel i enjoy every time .. the vew and the sun set is the best. close to shops and nice walks. good service ..im looking forward to my next visit..
THE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE BEACH WAS UNBEATABLE AND THE SUNSETS AR AMAZING I ENJOYED WATCHING THE WHALES RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF THE CONDO STAF WAS GREAT. TRAVEL AGENT HAD AR CHECK IN AND OUT DATES WRONG BY ONE DAY SO STAFF LET US GO AND LOOK AT SEVERAL ROOMS AND PICK THE ONE WE LIKED THE MANAGER WAS GREAT WILL STAY THIER NEXT TIME
Lovely view. Lacked adequate air-conditioning. Salt water pool. Lacked closet space because the condo owners have built a storage locker for their things in the only closet. Close to beach, two strip malls across the street, great selection of restaurants close by. The lock on our door was broken but they had it repaired within two days of my FORMAL request.
