Visiting family and sightseeing. Maui is a wonderful place to visit.

My family and I stayed and Kamaole Sands for 4 nights. This is an excellent resort within walking distance to the beach. A beautiful pool area with two hot tubs and several BBQs for grilling. The rooms we stayed in were extremely clean and well kept. I will agree with some of the other reviews that the décor is a little outdated, but your in Maui, you really shouldn't be spending much time indoors ha-ha. Overall we had an amazing time in Maui and at Kamaole Sands. I would definitely recommend or return for another trip.

On the Web site they said they had remodeled but only new thing was the counter tops. Dishes were dirty, kitchen wasn't clean, just poor cleaning job all around. Property was beautiful that was the up side of our stay.

Orbitz said there would be a $35 resort fee on top of the charge so we were expecting to pay that on top of our rate of $99 a night But... when we arrived there was also a destination charge, cleaning charge, other mandatory charges We ended up having to pay $176 in fees outside of our rate The fees cost almost the same as our 2 night stay Thought we were getting a deal but not at all! Our particular room had the bare minimum of dishes- one medium pot and one small pot with lid Fine for 2 nights but for a week and BBQ it would not have been enough No Tupperware at all.

The only real negative was the $140 cleaning fee that seemed excessive because the rooms were not cleaned during our stay. Other than this, the location, staff and amenities were great!

Overall, great. Our view was fantastic. I know most of the units don't have such a view though most have nice views. The grounds and pool area are very nice, nicer than some of the rooms. One complaint I have is with the office staff almost never answering the phone when we tried calling from our room. The two people we dealt with directly, one at check in and one at check out were pleasant.

The unit it we stayed in was older but nicely appointed. On top of the nightly room rate, Orbitz identified the resort fee but not the destination fee or housekeeping fee (not viable until after completing the reservation). The fees combined were greater than the nightly rate! I would have expected more transparency in the total cost.

Good size apartment and apart from all the amenities mentioned on the website they also had all the beach gears like beach chairs, towels and snorkeling gears so that was a pleasant surprise and very convenient. Washer dryer was a blessing...came back with clean clothes and not sand and dust :)

We booked and paid up front through orbitz. There was no mention of other fees until we arrived and they charged us a 3rd of what we paid already. They said this was the cleaning and resort fees. We were only staying for 3 days but we were told if we stayed one day or thirty he additional fees would be the same. The value was horrible.

Good location. Nice pool with spa. Next to very good beach. We arrived early around noon, but the staff was very nice to allow us to check in right away.

Dirty shower. Very hard to turn on and off water in shower. No ice cubes in freezer. Refrigerator was very loud. Wasn't worth the money.

Beach is across street. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Great place to stay -we met several nice people. Location is really good. We were able to leave the car parked on many of our days.

The condo was great. A/C worked great. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Had a solid ocean view from our patio. I really cant think of a single complaint. Highly recommend this condo.

awesome time it WAS FUN HAD TENIIS COURTS AND GREAT DRINKS AT NIHT

The condo was not as clean as it could have been. The staircase is wobbly. The air conditioning never cooled the room after leaving it on for 6 days! The concierge discounts on attractions were not even discounted. We went to a Luau and paid the same price that anyone would pay. The staff at the pool snack bar spends the day on their cell phones sitting down. An attendant walked up to me at night with her flashlight in my face while I was sitting in the smoking area. She then told me that they come by every hour so to be careful! Felt like she was threatening me and I wasn't supposed to be there. It was odd...

Did not have the small comforts to make it a great place to hangout.. very limited cooking utensils and selection. Out door chair didn't have a strap to make it worth setting out on the lani..Small bed! The shower door was the wrong size to get in and out of the shower, kept hitting my head..I'm 5.10... Air-conditioning remote would not work at times...we counted over 100 nicknacks on the wall...That ended up being very funny!!

For what we paid, it was an absolutely amazing experience! Room was HUGE. Furniture was clean. We were actually shocked by how great the room was. It was also across the street from a really nice beach. However, I think it is kinda a gamble. It is my impression that each condominium is owned and decorated by different people. That being said, you may get stuck in a room that is not a nice as ours. I definitely overhead other people staying here that had much different experiences that what we had.

The grounds were beautiful, nice location, pool and grills. The condo was attractive, updated kitchen and second bath. But...sofa bed was hard to pull out, had to leave it, spoiling the use of the living room. The pantry and outdoor storage were locked, no chairs, beach towels, or hand soap. Worst of all, only 4 pillows for 3 of us, hard and high as rocks. No extra blanket.

The bathrooms in the pool area we're supposed to be fixed early in the month I was there for 2 weeks from October 1st thru the 15th the bathrooms were under construction but for two weeks there was no construction going on at all. and the unit I was in this time was very dated I mean very dated. besides that there's a lot of nice units at this property it is a beautiful property.
