Nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is a bit older, but very clean. One of the better places to stay in Charles City.

We stay here about 2-3 times a year when visiting family. The staff is always nice and helpful, and the hotel itself is always clean. One thing that changed this trip though was that the key card lock on the side door is gone. Just ripped out and gone, so the door remains unlocked at all hours and anyone can get it (despite this the woman at the front desk still told me we needed our key when using the side entrance).
It's a Super 8 that accepts pets - exactly what we needed. It's clean, the staff is very friendly and it's a good price. We stay here every time we're in the area.
The woman at the desk was very personable, but had not read our request for a hadicapped accessible room. She changed our room as soon as I called it to her attention. The breakfast had waffles but nothing with real protein--no eggs or yogurt. The tea was decaf.

We appreciated the very clean rooms, and the little extras placed in the rooms to welcome guests. We would have preferred staying in a non-smoking room because my husband suffers from asthma, but we were able to tolerate the smoking room for two nights. We also enjoyed the full breakfast.
I loved that my room was very clean!!! but when i got up to eat everything was gone and breakfast was'nt over yet, not good.
