Stayed here to be close to family. Family room was tremendous. Comfortable full size bed for us and a sofa bed for the kid. Room décor was outdated and although it is non-smoking, faintly smelled of smoke. Bathroom was clean. No refrigerator in room, but we left our perishables with front desk for refrigeration. While they were very accommodating about holding it, it would've been easier to have the food in our room. Our room faced the rear, and was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was across from a shopping center where we would go for coffee every morning. There was a Carrefour there too, where you can buy anything from cheese to soap to TVs. It was also near buses and walking to Parc Borely.
If you are looking for a hotel near the "Province", to be able to reach nice places like Cassis / Ciotat / Le Castellet ... or If you want be near of the stadium of Marseille footbal team & after the match ... is it "your hotel". Inside it"s a bit "old fashion" but acceptable. The staff is helpful . The breakfast choices are OK in term of quality & price. They have parking : there is a garage under the hotel & outside also.
Having been recommended this hotel by the FTTH council Europe, I thought someone would have done their due diligence. I was disappointed. Old rooms, AC not working and a very under equipped restaurant and bar. We were part of a group of 30 people, which stayed here as we were all attending a conference. With such demand placed on the hotel, you would think they would be prepared! Unfortunately not. Running out of drinks at the bar, and inability to serve any food whatsoever past 10pm meant I had to order a take away pizza on my night of arrival. Thankfully the lovely lady at reception was helpful enough to help in the process. Breakfast was ok - continental style with fresh juices and coffee. I also ate at the restaurant one evening which served good food for the money, the waiting staff did a great job. Next time, I will probably stay more central to the city centre.
Positive first the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I stayed for two nights on a business trip. The first "no smoking room" smelled strongly of smoke. Fortunately as it was mid week they could switch my room the second room was better. In general the hotel is in desperate need of redecoration and some tender loving care. The buttons in the lift are all broken and although they work with a little persistent pressing I was a little concerned about getting electrocuted. The breakfast was basic and does not compare well to other hotels of a similar price. At over 90 euros a night I would have expected much better. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
I was lucky to have a room in this hotel while all other hotels were totally full since there was a race on that weekend. Actually, I've been to the hotel just next to it, and I was very well suprised with this one. The room was so big, clean and quiet. Decoration was a bit dark tho, but all the rest was really nice. I highly recommend it. I dont know about the parking but there are many free places around the hotel which is very convenient. I can hardly say more as I spend only one night there but on the phone and at the hotel, staff was very efficient and nice. When I go back to Marseille, I will definitely go back there, very good value!
We booked in for one night. We had a spacious and very nice room. Staff we very helpful and polite. Breakfast in the morning was very pleasant outside. the pool was a nice side but didn't have a shallow end. We booked for a further 3 day and had a nice holiday
Nice hotel but there is building work opposite - but next to a good shopping mall. There is car parking but I parked on the road outside and saved the ten euros. There is a nice garden for breakfast and a shared pool behind the adjacent IBIS hotel It took 40 mins to walk to the stadium but we could have caught a bus on the way. I didn't see any buses in the way back (after extra time and penalties maybe too late?)
We had a great stay on last month with my family. We arrived early morning and hotel were able to find a room for us, it was very nice. I got a very cozy and big room for my family. I liked our room very much, the only downside is that the room is little bit dirty on some places. We met very friendly staff and janitor. Hotel administrator introduced the city and places where we can go. Also we visit the hotel restaurant. It was well priced. If you looking for good 3 stars hotel, I recommend this.
We had a realistic sized room which was comfortable and pleasantly decorated with amenities you would expect of a hotel of this calibre. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was very enjoyable and when we ate in the restaurant the food was excellent. The pool, tennis court, boules court etc are shared with the Ibis hotel next door but the Best Western do not supply pool towels. The journey into Marseille by bus and Metro was easy to do. The Reception staff were very helpful in explaining the route, stops etc. Car parking is garaged or open air but you pay extra.
You can tell it's a bit run down, and although my room was decent enough, clean and the bed was ok, going from the decor and bathroom it was last worked on in the 80s. the aircon was too small for the room and needed serviced, it was far too loud. breakfast was nice, and I found the staff to be either nice and helpful (barman) or just rude (reception) all in all, it was OK for a quick one night stop, I wouldn't stay there for any longer.
