Hotel facilities were the best with very good food. The stay was brief but enjoyable. Entertainment was one of the best i had ever seen and the hotel had very good assistance. People to carry bags and make one feel very welcoming and make you feel relaxed. The views are incredible and did i mention the food, the food was one of the best things that i admired about the hotel although they used to ration the salt who could blame them the food already tasted better with out it. I won't miss another opportunity to go back and have the same fun as my friends and i had.
We spent three nights at this hotel as part of our tour, very nice hotel, good location, helpful staff and excellent choice of food, there's a big pool which we didn't use but others did, shame the spa wasn't open while we were there..
The positive of this hotel has to be the location. It's not more than a 2 star hotel with basic amenities and very basic breakfast. However, as it was located on top of a supermarket which meant we could buy whatever we wanted without worrying about the breakfast. There were also a couple of modern restaurants around the corner as well as being close to jardin majorelle (YSL gardens). Sits just outside the old city wall and a very short taxi to the jama al fana. It was lively outside so taxis for short and long distances were on the doorstep for excursions. The new city was also only 5-10 min walk. The hotel isn't partially clean and could do with an upgrade to deco. The lobby area was fine but the rooms and the hallways were alot to be desired for. The pool area overlooked a petrol station and was very very small. The hallways had no natural lighting and the energy saving lights only came on when you jumped or danced. The rooms/bathrooms are not particularly spacious and we're not very clean given they were all tiled. Had I have known the condition I definitely would have looked elsewhere but as we were out most of the day and only needed somewhere to crash, the location was brilliant. Not recomended for families but more so for hikers.
excellent hotel and staff breakfast very nice room cleaned daily feel like home will book again swimming pool large i did not use it english speaking staff at reception market at hote site very handy local buses to madina from near by stop all in all great stay wish i could have stayed longer
Riad Mogador Hotel located right outside the Bab Doukala Gate of Old Marrakesh, The hotel is rated 3 stars which is accurate for Moroccan standards, the rooms are modern, The size was normal by European standars, and the breakfast was pretty good, with a diverse sample of available dishes.
Very run down travel lodge would be a UK comparable. I think there are much nicer places you can stay though it does have the added advantage of a swimming pool. Very uninspiring. You get what you pay for though be warned- the pictures on the website must be of a different hotel!
First time I went was in 2012 which was a lovely time as the hotel really cared about us and tried to make it a nice experience. Second time we went following year later, they could not care less about us and dismissed us very quickly. The rooms were not cleaned by housekeeping everyday which annoyed us. The breakfast bar was ok, their moroccan pancakes was always finished before we got there. I would rather pay extra money for another hotel as the customer service was awful.
Title says it all. I dont know if the staff were racist or just not bothered as we were tourists. But when a few moroccans came to the desk they were bubbly, whenever we asked them a question they would answer with a grumpy face, very rude. In regards to the WiFi it is terrible and when i did ask for the password it was given, again with a grumpy face. Well the staff should know THEY ARE NOT DOING US A FAVOUR BY PROVIDING A WIFI (WHICH IS USELESS ANYWAY) IF U DIDNT HAVE WIFI ADVERTISED I WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN BOOKED THIS HOTEL. Only good thing about the hotel was the location.
We booked the hotel for three nights. On arrival the check-in was prompt and we were shown to our room. We were given the choice of either a double or twin, but opted for the twin as the double overlooked the front busy road. The room in general was OK, the tiles and the bath were filthy but everywhere else seemed clean. The TV was NOT satellite as advertised and received only a few channels, no hangers for clothes are provided and the safe box was broken. We opted to eat in the hotel on the first night but that was a big mistake. We were charged 200 diram for 2 buffets but no food was left !! trying to explain this to the management was a long battle. We finally got a discount of 100 from the price. BE WARNED - the hotel is nothing like the pictures on the site.......
I booked three night here for myself as a solo travel. Three nights that I stand here was ok. my Room is clean and the breakfast I always I have it in time. staff they mostly angry face. and the wifi is not in the Room and you have to always com close to the reception to check your emails. This is my experience about this Hotel
