I checked in and was greeted by a friendly front desk person. It was fast. I had breakfast there it was included. The room was nice and clean. Overall. Great experience.

Only a five minute drive to downtown Marquette, Settle Inn proved to be a good choice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Love Marquette!

The room smelled very bad, the bed had a permanent dent and stained on the white blanket - was gross. We were there for the UP Beer Festival and was told by the Front Desk staff that a shuttle would run every 20 minutes to the festival and back - we waited an hour for the shuttle at the hotel - very poor customer service/organization. Breakfast was limited to carbs, no yogurt, toasters didn't work very well. Would look else where next time.

The hotel was convenient and nice. Facilities were good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY HELPFUL, ROOM WAS CLEAN AND NICE. WE HAD A CHOICE OF THE ROOM BEING ON THE PARKING LOT SIDE, OR THE HIGHWAY SIDE AND PICKED THE HIGHWAY SIDE. WE LIKE TO LEAVE THE WINDOWS OPEN A BIT AT NIGHT AND THE TRAFFIC NOISE WAS TO MUCH FOR THAT. IT WAS OUR OWN FAULT AS WE JUST PICKED THE WRONG SIDE.

Overnight between games Convenient location near rink and restaurants

Room was clean, beds comfortable and location in the UP close to many interesting stes. Maintenance working diligently to keep up the hotel but the varnish fumes were alittle strong.

The location was convenient & easy access to the route. It was actually better than most 2 stars we've stayed at. We usually don't stay in anything less than a 3 star, but due to availability we had to. I would rate it more like a 3 star. Due to room size. No microwave or fridges. We were on ground level & the folks above us were very noisy, heavy on the feet. The beds need to be up graded, we both had low back pain in the morning & found them uncomfortable all night. It was clean tho & didn't smell musty, like many lower grade places. Would we go back? Probably not, but it was fine in a pinch.

hotel is reasonably close to downtown and a block from the bike trail that leads to the waterfront. Only a couple of miles from some very impressive water falls. ( Dead River )

Stayed one night . Very nice comfortable room! Sauna Hot Tub great!

My wife and I visit Marquette 6-8 weekends a winter to attend NMU basketball games. The Settle Inn has an accommodating and friendly staff. The location is close to anything in Marquette and the rooms have always been clean and comfortable.

We travel to Marquette regularly to visit our son who plays basketball at NMU. We have stayed at a number of places in/near Marquette. The staff at the Settle Inn was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. A good value and nicer than other places deemed comparable.

It was quick to check in, the room was ample, the aroma from a nearby bakery made me have pleasant dreams...

Booked online and was pleased with room. It was clean and comfortable.

Decent hotel, needs a little updating. But why pay double for a big chain hotel when this one gets 85% right? Clean and comfortable beds...that's what counts.

This was such a great value. Room was large and comfortable and clean. I was there 4 nights and everyday the housekeeping staff had everything in tip top shape when I returned late in the day. The breakfast was a typical one...no eggs, but what they had was nicely presented and fresh. The apples were gorgeous and perfect. Have stayed elsewhere in Maquette...this was better. As an added bonus, Econo Foods is within easy waking distance if you need some supplies or some deli selections instead of going out to eat. Location was really easy to get to from downtown Marquette

I stayed here because it was the weekend of the college kids moving in so my 1st pick for a hotel had almost doubled their rate so it was way out of what I had expected to pay, so I stayed at the Settle Inn and was pleasantly surprised. Nothing special but clean, complimentary breakfast, pool, and other amenities and for a 3rd of the price as my first choice. And all I wanted was a place to lay my head. This was it!

staff was friendly and helpful, clean and in a good location. Only negative was noisy neighbors.

The staff did not inform us at check in that work was to be done on TV updating in the early AM. I had my adult disabled daughter with me. I had a morning meeting to attend so left my daughter at the hotel sleeping (she was awake most of the night) with a "do not disturb" sign on the door. She was called by front desk they needed to get in. She asked if they could come back later in the day. The front desk said no and claimed my daughter swore at them etc. and called the police to have us re-moved from the hotel. She called me crying . I asked to speak to the mgr. to no avail so I drove the 30 miles back to the hotel where a police officer was waiting to escort us from the room - and he did. Most terrible experience I have ever experienced at 77 years old at a hotel. Stay away!

There was an odd smell when i first entered the room, but I think it was just the cleaner that they use. Overall the room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I was traveling alone so the room was the perfect size for me. The fridge is a little small though. I ordered pizza on my first night and the small pizza box would not fit in the fridge at all.

We implore all guests that have issues to please let the front desk know of any potential problems with the room, it is not our policy to have stained sheets. The shuttle was run by an 3rd party (independent of us entirely, Checker Transport) W try our hardest to accommodate every guest but as this service was not run by us nor set up by us, any unforeseen delays were beyond our control, though to my knowledge the shuttle did run on time. We also do have yogurt for the breakfast as well hard-boiled eggs, french toast, waffles, danishes and several other items as well.
