We stayed here for 10 nights at the beginning of October 2017. The rooms at this hotel are very nice and the best aspect of this hotel. They are spacious, clean, modern and tidy. We always found something to eat and there is a decent variety. The food is not as bad as some people make out. I found the staff to be Helpful and respectful. What mainly lets this hotel down is the clientele staying here. It seems to attract drunkards and unsavoury characters. Wifi is free in the lobby area. The lobby area was looking Shabby and dated when we there and could be improved with new sofas and decor. The beach is at least a 20 minutes brisk walk. I do believe there is a minibus that does drop off to the beach in the morning and returns in the evening. Overall this is a decent hotel that could make some changes to improve.
First impressions of hotel were good, great size rooms - family room had a downstairs with washing machine and stair gates fitted both to the top and bottom of the stairs. Stairs are quite steep so some may struggle. Top floor of family room would be suitable for disabled people. Lobby and bar areas were well kept and all the staff we met throughout our stay were lovely especially the lady and gentleman from the spa - she gives a great massage! I didn't feel the cleaners did a very good job in the room, our toilet was never cleaned and bed only changed once in 10 days. I had no reason the mistrust the cleaner ladies though, no experience of things going missing. Entertainment is outside - didn't really stay up for this so couldn't comment. Pool - nice pool, kids loved the slides. First few days we had decent sized beakers for our drinks but then it changed to flimsy cups the size of dentist swill cups. Not sure why!!!!! Food - I didn't particularly enjoy the food here apart from the Turkish night, I'm not a fussy eater but, not sure if this is standard for turkey, sometimes the food didn't look appetising. There is a bit more selection in the outside area but again sometimes this food was too cold to eat. Situated a good walk into marmaris itself, 30 or so minutes but there is a free shuttle to either beach front or marmaris centre. The view from the pool is stunning, looking out onto the mountains and forest, lovely peaceful location next to a lovely cemetery. What lets this hotel down is a lot of the people who come here. Sadly it's mainly British people who are the problem. woken up 3 nights in a row by fighting. And children left to do as they please, some times blowing a whistle at the poolside for a whole day. Prople leaving litter everywhere. Never seen or heard of so many people of families being thrown out of a hotel before. Hopefully if the staff clamp down on the bad behaviour the hotel might get better reviews although I do think some of the awful reviews of the hotel are written by people who have been tackled by the hotel and just have an axe to grind. not sure I would return to marmaris as it was busier than I like but we had some amazing trips round about and Turkey is stunning. We had a fantastic time at Kervansaray despite at times feeling like audience members for Jeremy Kyle. We also found the local shop had many things a lot cheaper than in the town which I was suprised by.
We are at this hotel at the moment, our room is excellent, clean with a balcony, and a nice view ,the staff towards us have been helpful,I've found something to eat most of the time, but it's not for everyone, the meat is mainly kofte meat ,tastes like kebab meat to me , I'm British born and bred, and am embarrassed by the behaviour of some of the people here , complete abuse of the staff alot of the time, drinking too much, kids running wild parents in no fit state to look after them,of course not the case for everyone, alot of nice people, families etc , it's not the best, the entertainment is poor, pool is great , If you want English breakfast and a roast dinner stay at home or go to benidorm ,our first time in Turkey, having been all over the world, marmaris is lovely, we'll probably come back , although different hotel nearer the beach
Mixed reviews for this one.. Positives... Rooms were cleaned daily and we're very nice, the pool itself was a good size for kids, food was served all day at the pool Negatives... Stuff seemed to go missing out of rooms, fights and arguments most nights, pool area was never cleaned while we were there, breakfast and evening meal were shocking bad, pool area very slippery Met some great people at this hotel and alot of laughs. I wouldn't recommend to anyone with young family due to the violence and food. If you like the drama and entertainment this is the place for you. Never a dull day 😂 may of been some wife swapping going on aswell. Minus all the bad stuff. Alot of nice English people about.
Just got back from Kervansaray hotel Staff friendly and entertainment staff good with everyone Rooms excellent nice and clean Fighting by the local that we’re staying in the hotel First night Arguing every night at 3.30-4.30 no sleep Money went missing out of room only £20 Never saw rep only to get money out of us Now the food Rubbish nothing really to eat only salad and bread no proper main meal and I’d eat anything but I struggled to find something to eat Breakfast was horrible nothing to eat only toast food was really poor had to eat out most meals very cheap at Sarah’s bar just down the road Pool area was never cleaned only sunbeds were straghten up plates and cutlery left from previous days So to sum it up Hotel good Food crap Hopefully the roudyness was a one off Met some lovely friends there would go back but only room only
Two good points, the rooms are big and the staff at the shop on site are lovely and that’s it. The holiday started with us being harassed by a group of men, which we complained about this only stopped when a woman next to us got gropped by one of the men. We had told staff all day however they only found it funny. This made us feel uneasy and insecure for the rest of the trip. The noise, the fights, the screaming the shouting and the children that run around like referral dogs because there parents are too drunk to control them. There is no limit to the amount of alcohol served by the bar man who made me friend feel so uncomfortable she would no longer go up and get us drinks. The food is enedible and just sits in heat, you can almost see the bacteria growing. You wait for shuttle buses to town to get out of the hell hole and they don’t show I can’t begin to tell you how much we spent of taxis. The pool area is dangerous, the floors are slippery beds are broken and you get stuff robbed from around your bed area. The hotel staff are unhelpful, they charge you for WiFi (£15 each) oh and the WiFi doesn’t even work and it takes two days to get your money back. Paper thin walls which mean you can hear every single noise or scream that anyone makes. We had to complain about the people next door because we we’re worried about the safety of there children. If you want to come for a holiday of screaming, fighting and being perved on by men come here. If not get yourself a tent in Skegness you will have a much better time.
Just leaving the Kervansaray After 2 weeks. Got a cheap last minute deal so got what I paid for. Rooms lovely and cleaner made it spotless every day. Pool nice but sun beds could have done with some padding! Lots of us brought lilos! Lovely people mainly but a good bit of fighting, lots of noisy parties, noisy people at night woke a lot of the children. Party of about 40 year young Turkish guys were removed before their first night. Throwing bottles from windows nearly hitting children, inappropriate behaviour to young woman and general drunkenness and disrespect. Food not great and rather cold. Always found something if only soup and bread. Lower end of quality for all inclusive in my experience. Wouldn't recommend but was cheap!
I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for 8 days. The service was amazing. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are 5* abserlutly brilliant. The manager Omer was so kind and friendly he is willing to help with anything.Food was great and entertainment was excellent for kids and adults too. I am coming back again in July to another stay 10days.I stayed in room 1130
Firstly I always keep an open mind when reading reviews and I am a much seasoned traveller. On the positives and there aren't many. The hotel is lovely, with great potential, the rooms are lovely, the staff are great and have a very difficult job but do it very well with what they have to deal with. The entertainment was not bad to be fair. Both for children and for adults. Plenty to eat virtually all day long. Now the NEGATIVES, where to start.... Fights every night, fuelled by alcohol. police were called every single day of our week. The food was cold virtually every day, with ignorant guests leaving the lids off every dish after they had opened each one. No microwave, which would have helped. No ice cream, usually provided at all inclusive, You had to pay for it. We were ripped off as soon as we arrived by the guy trying to sell the Turkish bath and treatments. Totally ripped off as the same treatments when you go down to the beach front were the same for 90% cheaper. The rep selling the excursions Ramson, were totally overpriced. Source your own down on the beach front. We didn't book any and he totally ignored us all week. 70% of the guests were very loud with feral children running wild. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that I liked or disliked. My advice would be to go elsewhere if you value your holiday. The free shuttle bus takes you to the beach front and straight to a bar called the Majestic. Don't go there, totally overpriced, much cheaper at any other bar along the beach front. These are just my opinions and that of my much travelled friends.
For starters I had a fantastic holiday really enjoyed myself with allot of great people I met her. This is a very mixed review but for what I paid for the holiday I not that concerned. When we first arrived it took us over an hour to check in because the two rooms was booked under my name and the receptionist wouldn’t give us two rooms because he thought this was a typo. I had my documents stating two rooms and I told him just to take a copy and if there is any problems we will deal with it in the morning, this is after over 15 hours of traveling because of delays and checking in at 6am in the morning. We got our things in our rooms and decided to have a wander check out where everything is before going to sleep and I was a bit worried it seemed like quite a small area to travel between not much places to go. Woke up on the 1st day and went for some breakfast Massive selection of hot and cold food to have plus a toasty machine outside great. Did lunch and the soup was great every day Bar snacks available i.e. burgers, chips, Salad and in the restaurant they had a more filling selection with salad etc. and dinner a massive selection Again. The only down side was the massive selection didn’t change much over the 2 weeks we was their so it was a bit just too much the same. But again for what we payed can’t. Entertainment. This is the side of the holiday that made our holiday fantastic right at the beginning of the holiday our brothers Joey and Sniper first came over and we became great friends from the start these guys made our holiday. We did all the games … not that we had a choice not to we wasn’t offered are names was automatically added which was great had a great laugh. Couldn’t fault the entertainment team Bobo and Barbie as well just all made us feel Welcome. Last but not least the Guy you made me do this Coco the man that is in charge of the entertainment and obviously has a great bond with his team it’s unfortunate that I found out that Coco can solve any problems towards the end of the holiday as he could have advised us sooner on problems but what a Great Guy and a great team. Coco send out our applications next Year Damien, Sniper, Joey & Big Shark will be your Dream Team Thank guys. Hospitality team. We got on with all the bar tenders they was very friendly Particular Fatos (Forgive me if I spelt your name wrong Al La La) but all the team was really good just so many names to remember and I forgot. Till Next Time Guys see you Soon Joey, Sniper, Coco & Bobo
