I did not like the fact that there was a hole in the wall near the ceiling. It was on the wall that was shared with the room next door. The hole was stuffed with tissue or toilet paper.
This is a very bad place
The property needs maintinence. The carpet needed cleaning, the hallway needed painting, needed a new shower curtain. We saw no bugs and the sheets were clean. Breakfast was provided, but very limited.
Room 104. The bed linens were obviously not changed. The linens were laden with perfume from a previous guest.
It was a great deal for a decent, clean place to stay overnight.
The property itself is dated but the staff were amazing, the rooms were very clean and it was a great place to stay while in Gas City.
Our non-smoking room was obviously just ‘in name only’ as the smell permeated through everything. It was clean, but the mismatched towels left a lot to be desired- they were obviously very old and had long forgotten how to be absorbent. The toilet clogged after only a couple uses and while clean, the shower was a little too dated to convince us it was worth a try. We only needed to stay for one night, thank goodness!
They don’t offer breakfast and they don’t offer a swimming pool
During Covid all they have for breakfast are Great Value fruit bars. We were expecting a continental breakfast or at least a comparable alternative. In addition, the soap that they provide never felt like it comes off. It still leaves your skin feeling slimy. There was no extra blankets in the room. There was only a slim itchy blanket on the bed. We saw stained carpet about 3 feet in diameter on the floor.
Convenient to interstate. Great staff. Good breakfast
Stayed one night while dropping our daughter off at college. Very clean and a nice friendly staff. Adam at the front desk was very cordial. Would definitely stay here again while visiting the campus.
Not sure if it was staff in the lobby or other people hanging out,but it was noisy... and I was on room 103 — not far from the office.
We stayed her to attend our daughter's art exhibit at IWU. Very clean, economical and friendly. Also has a nice breakfast. Only caution, no elevator, so I had people using walkers and had to have rooms on first floor.
Friendly staff, clean facility, comfortable bed. Bring your own pillow! Would stay in this facilty again.
