We stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter break, surprisingly it wasn't to busy. We had a studio apartment. It had an outdoor balcony that was great as it lead out to the garden that was just up from the resorts playground which suited us. The bed was a king but I'm not sure if the sheets were starched too much or old but every time I turned in the bed I felt like I was getting carpet burn! Not a great feeling. There is a kitchen with a 2 plate stove, fridge, sink and dinning table. There is even enough room for our port-a-cot to be set up. The bathroom has a washer and dryer as well as a shower over a bath which was great for the little one. There is also free wifi in the resort. The resort is walking distance to the beach across the road and is about a 10min drive in to town. It has an on site restaurant/bar which served great food and isn't expensive; and for breakfast I would suggest to go over to the White Elephant beach café!. We can't put our finger on it but the facility may need some updating soon. We had a great time.
My friends and I stayed here for a night in the 2 bed with spa apartment which was soo nice! It had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathroom was really nice and had a huge spa bath! Whilst its about a ten minute drive to the town centre it had beach views and had a restaurant (which you could get takeaway from) and a couple of shops at the resort. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Margaret river.
Nice location. Check in was friendly. Bed was a zip king. The most uncomfortable bed I've EVER slept in. There was a lump and a rise all the way down the centre of the bed. Sheets were stiff and crunchy like sandpaper. Not even close to soft. The freezer is only big enough for a ice cube tray and doesn't freeze real well doesnt even have a door on the freezer. Good size tv. Left feeling exhausted from lack of sleep for two nights. Not DVD in the room that we could see. Our apartment was right outside the kids play area so if you are after relaxing and couple time best to mention not to be near there. Most of the day kids were playing in there and sounding like kids playing. Power also went off in the early hours of the morning for a while so no air cond lights etc. So all up not a pleasant, enjoyable or relaxing getaway. Left feeling disappointed. Wasn't even asked if we enjoyed our stay or if we had any feedback.
rather big facility with different kinds of rooms; out suite was luxurious and spacious with kitchen and washing machine; modern and clean; breakfast is recommended to have at the beach, however, we always found the place very crowded because it seems to be very popular as a breakfast place; you cannot see the ocean although in walking distance; beach very average to australian standards
Everything ready for us after a 4 hour drive. Excellent facilities with enough bench space and equipment to prepare a meal. Clean bathroom with washing machine and dryer such a bonus! We didn't use the onsite bar or bistro but nor could we hear the live music in the evening. Great to see places for the children to play and families to gather to watch them. We were on the ground floor so no ocean views. Free wifi available. Easy drive into town and the shops are always open to stock up. Great place to base yourself for a tour of this region.
Perfect location and atmosphere with The Common Room for drinks and dinner for sensational food! The White Elephant for breakfast topped it off with food, location and friendly people! The rooms were clean and new..perfect for a getaway!!
We stayed in a 2BD Spa apartment on the 2nd floor. Although it didn't come with a view, the apartment had a huge kitchen and living/dining space, a separate bath/toilet, 2 rooms that were spacious, clean and comfortable and a balcony. Complimentary car park right in front of your doorstep as well. We enjoyed our stay at MBR very much - it was peaceful, fresh air throughout the day, close by to the beautiful beaches (with a few viewing points - surfer's point, white elephant cafe). A 15mins drive to MR town (with more eateries and local supermarket). The in-house bistro/bar - The Common also serves fresh and delicious food and drinks which we enjoyed our dinner very much. Upon check in/out Mr Lee greeted us at the reception warmly and we were all very pleased with his hospitality throughout our stay. He made us feel very welcomed. Thank you and we can't wait to return soon!
Stayed 2 nights. On arrival was upgraded to 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. Stunning accommodation could easily stay a week. A fair way ouy of town centre (10 minute drive) but spectacular coastal scenery and still close enough to visit wineries. Would absolutely stay there again. Didnt use pool as ran out of time but looked very inviting. Short walk to amazing beach with cafe where we enjoyed breakfast.
We spent 3 nights here....for some reason, we were allocated a disabled room.... ground floor, with lots of railings and adjustments....( we are not disabled!) Friendly welcome when we checked in. The room was quiet and we had lots of space. There was a terrace overlooking a garden area, and we could park right outside the door. The kitchenette was well fitted and we went to the local supermarket for supplies and made our own breakfasts each morning. There is a cafe on the beach about 10 minutes away, but at 15$ per head, and not a lot of choice, we decided to self cater. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom / shower fine...more like a wet room. The Common bar/ restaurant only opens from 3pm.... there is a Happy Hour from 5-6pm..but not many drinks were included and the cocktails were very expensive. We walked to the nearby beach, the Cafe here shuts at 3pm, and we spent a good afternoon relaxing. However, there was a lot of seaweed washed up on the beach - maybe there had been a recent storm. We had a wine tour for a day, visiting several local wineries, a cheese producer and a chocolate maker...... very good day out. Overall, the hotel is located in a good position to access all the local attractions, and still enjoy the beach. The Wi-Fi was not reliable.....
We stayed in a 2 bedroom spa apartment for 2 nights. We had a ground floor apartment which had an outdoor seating area and was right beside the park so my kids could go out and in when they wanted and we could see them from the apartment so they loved that. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had a full kitchen with everything you could need and the beds were very comfortable. The onsite pool and sauna are lovely, and there are several bbq's located around the resort too. The onsite bar and restaurant is very good with some really good deals during their daily happy hour. The resort itself is a short walk to the beach and its in a very quiet location but still within an easy drive of Margaret River and all the attractions around the area. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend and we will definitely return for another visit.
