The accommodation was clean, idyllic, and well prepared upon our arrival. We stayed there for two nights but would have rather stayed for many more days if not for our busy itinerary. The lounge was very spacious and comfortable with grand ground-to-ceiling windows that offered a view of the patio and garden outside. Coming from a densely populated city, this was an incredibly refreshing change to stay in this tranquil and quiet accommodation surrounded by nothing but the forest. There were bedrooms with full height glass sliding doors that opened out into a well-tended and blooming garden. Given the greenery surrounding the place, the tidy and comfortable rooms and Dirk’s hospitality, staying there was just great! We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail paid by Dirk and Pam in preparing breakfast. It was a wholesome and sumptuous spread with a selection of homemade breads, honey from Dirk’s farm, fruits and cereals. The coffee brew was great and there was a wide selection of cooked dishes that could be ordered for a few dollars each. We thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast in the alfresco area. We loved the tranquil environment and would definitely like to come back again. Dirk and Pam are great hosts too!
Very happy with everything. Nice rooms and good sized bathrooms as well. Good tips from owner and helpful in every respect. Not too far from downtown Margaret River nor from the beach, but car needed. Can recommend 100% and will return in future again !
My partner and I had an amazing stay here. The BnB is nestled amongst nature in a very relaxing setting. Loved the large spa in our suite (room for 2 people), and the bed was very comfortable. Also, we enjoyed the breakfast each day (local ingredients). Both owners, Pam and Derk, were very helpful; they went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Their terrific local knowledge of the area was a bonus; we were able to find a lot of spots that we wouldn’t have otherwise. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful B&B right in the midst of the forests in Margaret river. The rooms are very well appointed and the place is very quiet. The owners make the place a great memory. Dirk was so helpful in drawing up itineraries for us on both days and those were both great plans that set us up well for our stay. The breakfast was very good too with different varieties of home made breads being he highlight. Highly recommended if you are visiting MR.
The B&B is situated in a beautiful setting about 5km from the township. At first we thought this would be a disadvantage but it was just off Caves Road which is the main road for access to the main tourist sites. Everything was of a high standard and the best thing about it was the trouble that Dirk and Pam went to each morning to map out our itinerary for the day. We saw much more than we would have seen if we had been planning it ourselves. And they ensured that we went to and ate at the best places.
Beautiful setting in the bush! Pam and Dirk were most accommodating to our needs, and were knowledgable on local eats and the like. The room was private with our own little courtyard and private garden which was lovely! The bed was SO comfy! Breakfast was delicious and the variety of homemade breads was divine!!!!
Nice small B&B with thoughtful family touch. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfasting was simple (with option for a hot breakfast) but in plentiful supply. I was able to leave early and still have a good breakfast. Main negative was the distance to Margaret River.
What an absolutely lovely place! Everything said about this B&B is spot on! Our room was perfect - loved the parade of ducks each morning past our patio! The breakfasts were scrumptious - fresh fruits and freshly made breads! Rachel (filling in for Dirk and Pam for a few days) was a wonderful hostess! Her recommendations for places to visit, especially for sunset viewing, were fantastic!
What a wonderful place this is, more like a 5 star hotel than B&B. A large spacious house with comfortable armchairs and fine wooden furniture. Rooms are large, with luxuriously comfortable beds, jacuzzi, shower and fast WIFI. The husband and wife hosts are very gracious and deeply knowledgeable of the Margaret River region. The house is set in woodlands and outside eating area. It can’t be faulted. The place to stay in Margaret River and economical prices.
Dirk was a friendly and helpful host, offering tips and information to us so we could make the most of our short stay in the Margaret River region. Our room was very cosy and comfortable, bedding so relaxing to sleep in/on, and the addition of a large ensuite a wonderful surprise. Unfortunately we didn't get to use our little balcony - we were out each day - but it looked nice. Breakfasts, while only continental, were adequate and filling (home-made muffins and breads - yum! - thank you Pam) and fabulous fresh fruit served daily with the different cereals enjoyable. A coffee machine was available whenever we wanted in the lounge area for guests and this was a treat to use when we got back from being out each day. Adequate parking available too. Would love to come back to the region and stay again.
