Abbey Beach Resort

The resort is designed for self catering but has a cafe, bar and on the weekend we were there, a buffet restaurant. The resort us one of many along Geographe Bay and is showing its age. The arm rests on a number of chairs at the bar were threadbare. I could see the yellow foam sticking through. The buffet dinner was modest in range but well priced. Note there was a range of hot dishes but apart from the potato there wasn't a vege only option. Each meat and fish dish came with a vegetable. For example, the lamb curry had peas. The salads provided the best vege option from the buffet. Usual range of hot and continental breakfast dishes. Nothing to write home about. We have stayed several times now principally for the immediate access to the beach and highway access to the many attractions in the region.

The hotel was very pleasant with good room and access to the beach through well tended gardens. My wife forgot an item which was retrieved by housekeeping for us - well done. We visited at the end of October and found the restaurant and bar closed but food was available by the pool (also closed). We missed the availability of a pre dinner gin and tonic.

From check in to check out, it was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly everywhere. The 3 bedroom apartment that we stayed in was of a very good size. All rooms had a bathroom and the room was clean. (We had 5 adults and one infant) The balcony was good to as you could sit outside. The indoor pool was big and with the Café nearby, it was great to get a meal or a coffee. We played Tennis as well and the beach is only a minutes walk. Other attractions around the area of Busselton, were easy to get to. Will definitely stay there again!

The resort is expansive with significant options for accommodation. The unit we stayed in was two bedroom With excellent kitchen facilities. We had a unit with a balcony facing the sea. The building is built a short one minute walk to the beach. The resort has two large outdoor swimming pools with a number of BBQs in this area. There is also indoor pool. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was very good served by friendly attentive staff.

Have just had the pleasure of staying at Abbey Beach Resort for 3 nights. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor with beach frontage. From the moment we were welcomed and checked in with the friendly reception staff our stay was just perfect for our needs. The unit was roomy, very clean, comfortable beds, great kitchen area and a comfortable outdoor setting to enjoy our evening sundowner. The indoor pool was our first priority each day after travelling far and wide in the South West. Would certainly love to return and will recommend to many.

We have stayed at Abbey Beach Resort many times over the last 14 years, always in a well appointed studio suite. The resort is well maintained, both the building and the grounds. The grounds are a delight and enjoyable for all age groups, with many amenities. Location on the beachfront is ideal. We have found every staff member, from reception to catering to building and grounds, most welcoming and efficient. A very good choice when visiting Busselton or as a base for exploring the region. Looking forward to our next visit!

After travelling from the city to be a guest at a wedding in Busselton it was a lovely experience to arrive at the Abbey Beach Resort and be greater by such professional and pleasant staff. We also had an upgrade which was definately much appreciaterd and made our say there even more enjoyable. The surrounding are very well kept and having a cafe on the premises was great to be able to enjoy a coffee whilst waiting for our suite to be ready.

Albeit a brief overnight stay, it made us want to stay for longer. From the amazing friendly and informative reception we received on arrival ( thanks Lisa ) to the close proximity to the beach you couldn't ask for much more from a resort. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed included. Having not stayed there for many years it definitely wont be that long again before we return.

This large resort brings back memories of staying in fancy places in the 90s as a child. The outdoor area and facilities are picturesque and spacious with paths leading right onto the beach. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Staff were helpful and accommodating. I particularly liked the enormous main hall with decadent architecture adorning the high ceiling. I would never expect a resort of this scale outside the metro area. My only small concern was in fitting a phone charger to the wall sockets in my room; the power sockets are flush with floors/surfaces, making blocky chargers difficult to plug in. Notwithstanding, a wonderful stay and I will be coming back here in the future!

I would recommend Abbey Beach Resort every time, right on the beach, great variety of rooms to choose from, very friendly staff and there's lots to do at the resort as well Activities for the Kids and plenty to do for the adults as well, the location is great, very easy to get to both Dunsborough and Busselton and the wineries are very close as well Brett
