The rooms were nicely updated and a good size. The staff was very polite.

The location, room, and pool area are outstanding. Breakfast was decent. They advertise golf and rides on cart to the beach, seemed irritated when asked, so we didn’t golf and just drove to beach. It is located very close to many good restaurants and bars

Room was in excellent condition. However balcony view was distributed by hurricane Irma last year.

Really nice hotel. Staff was very helpful. Though kitchen was closed, they were still able to have the continental breakfast and evening dinner with a limited menu.

This was a great choice of place to stay on our 2day trip to the Keys. All lobby staff were excellent and took extra time to recommend local places and to make sure our room was in order before entering. The king suite was great, really loved the shower. Nice view of the canal/water. Super convenient that the resort had a Cafe and bar .

The scenery was beautful and my stay thêre very cômfortiable. The atmosphere friendly and warm.

Loved the rooms. The staff was great and there is a lot to do in the area.Phil

Christine was so helpful and kind. Beautiful room and great breakfast!

They did an amazing job with room renovations. My wife was very impressed. I rate a place based on having boat slip and water access. So A+ on that as well. Great job and to think that they and the rest of the keys were hit by a hurricane 7 months ago. They have some bruises still but nothing that won’t heal.

First room smelled of mold, changed room and 2nd was better. Property looks like a hurricane hit yesterday. Golf course is demolished, restaurant still has windows blown out and is not really in service. Tiki bar and pool were nice. Seemed to be in an industrial part of town. Didn't really see it as a resort, but more a motel.

Everything was great! I would stay here again. It was a good experience.

The hotel grounds felt like they were beautiful before the Hurricane, so I expect it to be so when they fix it back up :). The rooms were tremendously awesome, like upscale condos, though the bedroom walls were white and barren. It was bigger and nicer than my wife and my apartment in Manhattan, when we lived there, haha. The outside of the hotel and surrounding area got hit by the Hurricane and was pretty desolate and sad when we came. Golf course torn up next door, tennis court down, restaurant closed, laundry room gone. The pool and tiki bar were open, so that pool area was nice. I wish we could have stayed before the Hurricane, and I would stay here again. It’s good to support local businesses recovering from natural disasters, so I felt good about that too. WiFi didn’t show up and phone was down while we were there, but I’m sure that was a spot thing. If you get a good rate, it’s definitely worth it, if you have something fun to do in the area or want a really nice condo to sleep in on your way up or down the keys.

The room is huge! Very clean and comfortable. Love the style of decoration and the location is nice too.

Very nice stay. Room is very pretty and roomy. The bathroom is new and modern.

The resort was quite nice but it is still being renovated in parts so there is a bit of a building site feel to it. It is two miles from a small and crowded beach but the communal facilities at the beach including the children's play area were very good. The buildings in the resort have been set up backwards in my opinion; the balconies should overlook the water and the boats, and not the car park and resort office area. The reception staff were fabulous and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We ate breakfast in the resort dining room on the last day and it was quite awful and expensive for what we got. All our meals were prepared at different times and left under heat lamps to dry out. The manager was there and was very aware that we were unhappy with the experience and he never came over to see what the problem was. Instead he focused on making sure that another guest that he clearly knew and who was sitting alone got everything that he needed and quickly. The pool and Tiki Bar area was really nice. The room was very comfortable and clean but the kitchen area was lacking. With only a microwave and a fridge it was quite difficult to prepare even the simplest of meals, a toaster, or toaster oven would have been a welcome addition. The surrounding Marathon area was beautiful and Taxi's were plentiful and cheap and came within minutes of being called. We enjoyed some wonderful meals in the local restaurants nearby. The resort has great potential for the future :)

A wonderful hotel, great location! The food, drinks and staff were great!!

Room was a little cool for my comfort . Furnishings were top of the line and very clean indeed.dish soap should be in room to sanitize the dishes. We were 100% satisfied

We arrived early and the staff allowed us to use the pool while our room was ready. They were very nice and the rooms were very nice and neat. Will definitely repeat!!!

It was a pleasant experience and I will stay here again.

I was not to pleased with the location and surroundings of the hotel

Thank you for your Review and we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us! We hope you were able to use all of our Amenities during your stay as well! We still have some minor work to be done from the Hurricane and the Insurance companies are not being very helpful for us to get that done. We hope to see you back again soon!

Thanks for your 5 star Review Chris! We have been working hard to get everything back in shape since the Hurricane last year & we were fortunate to not have been hit too hard like other properties in the Keys! We know who is watching over the Skipjack Resort from above and are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to see you back again soon!!!

Fortunately you did not see this area after the Hurricane 4 hit here last Fall. Much has been done since then that you would have appreciated if you had seen it then and now. The Front 9 of the Golf course is in great shape and is used daily however the back 9 is going under renovation. Our Restaurant is actually in service with no windows blown out. You may have noticed that when you had our Continental Breakfast that is served in the Restaurant. There are no "industrial" parts to the Keys. We are a chain of islands over 100 miles in length surrounded by the beauty of the clear blue ocean waters, so we are not sure where that comes from??? Perhaps a revisit is necessary to see the REAL Keys!!!
