Super 8 - Mankato

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Although the experience was not horrible, the hotel does have some flaws, such as an odor throughout the halls that is a bit appalling, stained sheets and pillow cases. The front desk staff are very, very slow at check in, needing to go back and forth from one computer to another at least 5 times during the check in process. The location is in the North Mankato area and security of vehicles in parking lot is questionable. If you are looking I r a cheap spot to sleep, you won't go wrong, but if you are looking for anything more, you would be better suited elsewhere.

Super 8 is good for the price. Really nice bathroom. TV is kinda small.

The only thing that I would recommend as an improvement would be that there be more variety on the Continental breakfast. Everything else was up to par.

Good for the price compared to other hotels around

The hallways were dark and dingy. The secondary entrances were poorly lit with dirty carpet. The rooms were dark. The carpet made my socks dirty. The A/C was packed with mildew. The receptionist was friendly and helpful but just not a well kept building.

Room was clean but could use some fixing...cracked walls and discolored tub etc. The heater/air-conditioner was very loud. Had to turn up the TV when it kicked on, which was often. The noise made it hard to sleep. The bottom floor were smoking rooms, the upper rooms non-smoking which we were in. I could still smell smoke.

Breakfast very ordinary. Clean but not so well designed rooms. Clothes rack right in front of wall airconditioner/heater (which was LOUD and either continuously on or on-off very frequently)

Great Breakfast great price easy to find and located at the junction of the main east-west and north south highways. Rooms were clean staff friendly if your looking for a pool a resteraunt or bar they dont have it but a great place to sleeep

Room was quite nice with new carpet and decent furniture. However the fan on the AC unit needs replacing as it was too loud to run.

The staff was friendly and helpful on check in and check out, however the room had some issues...water left in the tub, plastic garbage on the floor, and really dusty in some places. Overall the rooms/hotel is a bit worn.

courteous staff on a very in good location with dining and shopping close by

Although the front desk staff was exceptionally helpful, polite and would rank 5 stars, the room and maid staff fell short. The recliner in the room was musty and not pleasant to sit in. The room did not actually have an iron in it, you had to go to the front desk and ask for one.We stayed two nights and the maid staff never emptied the trash and left wet towels on the floor. Overall I would have to say I would not stay there again and we spend 2-3 days in Mankato every year in the spring.

We were in Mankato for Vikings training camp. When we got there the guy at the front desk was on the phone almost the entire time we were checking in. The motel was quiet, which was nice, but there was somebody's hair on the sheets when we pulled back to blankets to go to bed. The morning front desk was very pleasant and friendly though.

Terrible. total disregard of service and courtesy. Will not use motel again. Has to be better places

The hotel was okay for the one night we were there to basically sleep & get ready in the morning. It would not be good if we were going to stay for longer.

I was looking for a restful place to stay the night, with a recognizable name attached. This turned out to be one of the better Super 8's I have ever stayed. The shower was just what was needed in the morning, and the beds were nearly perfect with firmness.
