Worst hotel ever ! Hotel's pictures are not real ! Friendly staff , but the 2nd night I just bumped in to with a massive rat on my way to the room . Don't ask for a tAxi from the hotel . Beds are no too bad , you can not to open the windows , it smells horrible .
The hotel is not in a particularly touristy area with Robinsons being the nearest mall a short taxi ride away... However, the relatively low room rates, good room standards, staff friendliness & swimming pool more than make up for the location... Good value for $$
The room and bathroom were very nice, clean and spacious. The restaurant is good but expensive. The location of the hotel is quite poor with nothing at all in the area to have dinner or have a drink. The area is pretty gloomy.
It's a wonderful classic style Hotel, the restaurant view to the Swimming pool it gives a pretty good feeling specially at night lights while enjoying your food and beverage while waching the swimmers. It's good for all ages. The room space is big enough to enjoy spending time in rainy days, it's direct in front of Paco Park.
The room was huge but badly appointed. It was dirty, smelly and the airconditioner leaked dripping water all over the floor. I think there were rats in the ceiling as the scratching was endless. Breakfast was included but average. Staff seemed friendly enough. I was joining a tour and this was the joining point . I would not stay here from choice.
It is my third to stay at this Hotel. This time, the clerk on the front desk was not as accommodating as the last time and not as the usual professional as the previous I have dealt with before. Not the usual niceties or cheerfulness. The room that was given to me was not at par. Too cramped. For the price you pay, this is the kind that you'd get of course. And that maybe the last I will book this Hotel.
We stayed on New Year's Eve only to be woken up by rats scratching in the ceilibg above us, really thought they were going to come through the ceiling into our room. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and mosquitoes everywhere. We were not the only guests who complained about the rats and checked out that morning. Also the food at breakfast was awful.
laundry - I'm on an 11 month trip and sent my laundry with the hotel to be done. Now a week later, in another country, I went to put on one of my shirts only to discover it wasn't my shirt but one I've never seen before. They must have destroyed one of my shirts and instead of telling me they hid it by sticking in a different grey shirt in the middle of the stack (getting it from god knows where.) A shirt that is the wrong size so I can't wear it and have donated it to a hotel staff in Japan. I wouldn't have been upset if they told me what happened, it's the lieing and trying to cover it up that is the problem. location - it's a cheap (very long with Manila traffic) cab to get anywhere but do not go walking in this neighbourhood. I had two tour guides tell me to take cabs not to walk. I just wanted to go to the mall 15 minutes away but was told not to.
All sttaf's were very accomodating. It's a nice place to relax. Food was bit expensive but doesn't matter food served are delicious. Very recommended for those who want to stay in Manila. The location is Good.
Though this establishment is old it is constantly being remodeled and the rooms, we stayed in the "superior room" are spacious and clean. The bathrooms haven't walking shower that is newer and all tile. The water is never really hot like I am used to but sufficient. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate you in every way the can. The pool is really clean and refreshing. The food is good but kind of expensive so we on;y ate there once. If there is anything I would change it would be the opening time for coffee. The coffee is fresh ground and is 90 pesos (about $1.80 per cup) with no free refills and impossible to get before 7am. Be sure to ask for a large cup in less you like espresso. I went through Trip Advisor which says they have free breakfast but it doesn't come free.
