New Horizon Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Reviews usually start off with the good, so let me save your time & tell you the bad. So here comes the list of the bad things about this hotel & my stay for 6 days & 5 nights. Why get your expectations up by commenting on the friendly staff, the comfortable room environment, the great Picasso restaurant, the close proximity of SM Light Mall & the not too further down SM Megamall, the side shops & street vendors, places to eat or sit back & enjoy a Red Horse or Emperador Light spritzer, the local karaoke taverns, or the movie theater in Robinson's Forum. Oh no, let me use the remaining characters to point out the all of the bad things about New Horizon Hotel...I just hope that I will still have enough characters remaining to say what bad things I experienced in this European-themed hotel. So get ready because bad things are usually the deciding factors for anyone staying at hotels...and we all know that nothing is perfect, so small and/or minor bad things are really not worth mentioning if there is a list of great things that made my stay enjoyable. To mention the great qualities (the Pros) without mentioning first all of the negatives (the Cons) of this hotel would easily put you in the frame of mind that the New Horizon hotel is way more bang for the buck. I cannot mention room rates or anything associated with any costs, per the rules of this review board. So, again, while there are still characters to list that bad things about this hotel, I am not there now!!!

We always have a great experience staying in New Horizon Hotel Manila...

very helpful hotet staff

I stayed with my fiancee there. We have stayed at The Richville Hotel and the Great Eastern prior to the New Horizon. The New Horizon was nice and the breakfast buffet was a very nice touch. The location is very busy and it is extremely hard to catch a cab. If you use the hotel to get a cab it is an additional P50.00 on top of an already scamming cab driver. Word of advice relating to cabs in Manila, always ask them to run the meter, if they won't dont use the cab, they always try to scam American's. The Great Eastern Hotel has been my favorite low rate hotel, rooms range from P1500-P2500. There are excellent resturants on top and bottom of the hotel and it's located on Quezon Ave and extremely easy to catch a cab. My next trip I will go back to the Great Eastern Hotel.
