Good location to stop for a bed to sleep in. Breakfast is adequate.

The front desk staff was great and the service excellent. The challenge was the condition of the bathroom shower curtain did not keep the water in as the rod was falling off the wall. The tv remote did not work at all. The door did not seal and the north wind made the room cold. The breakfast in the morning was minimal but the coffee was hot--just not the right lid for the cup and I spilled it all over myself. Not a good way to start the day!

I never write bad reviews for things, I go out of my way to give the benefit of the doubt, and I don’t embellish. The room (129) was marginal at best. The good: The bed was nice and clean. The staff was average. The bad: The rest of the room had been cleaned, but not very well and had several large black flies in the room. The towel rack by the sink was only mounted on one side (I fixed it). There were no bath or hand towels in the room, only a washcloth and shower mat. I only realized this once I had gotten in the shower (my fault). The air vent above the bathtub leaked water when the room above used their bathroom (unknown if it was the sink, shower, or toilet). The shower curtain had mold on the bottom. I should have taken photos.

Door cards had to be redone every day of the stay, cards wouldn't work after returning to the room all three days. Not sure what was going on with the door.

My room was missing a few things but the staff jumped on it and gave me a different room. The room was clean and quiet and I would recommend it.

4 days for under $200 Would do it again 2 beds, a.c., tv, fridge, microwave

It was a room next to the interstate easy on easy off

I had just driven from Ohio to Kansas - 12 straight hours - in one day by myself. I did book this in advance tracking exactly what 12 hours would be from my starting point. This is the sole reason I chose this city. I chose the hotel because I have stayed in many Super 8 motels while traveling across America. I checked in and was trying to talk to the girl - to visit - and I got no response. It was like talking to a wall. I asked to be in front - I was a woman travelling alone and thought it would be best to be right by the office. I did not know, I had not driven around the property that the front was the OLD part of the building. The attendant SHOULD have told me this. I didn't want to stay in the back but along the entire side of the property was entirely new building so the rooms would have been better. Also that side faced another hotel, she could have pointed this out and let me know to take a look. So I go to my room, take my luggage. I leave and get dinner and come back. Eat dinner in my room and take a shower and go to bed. I wake up in the middle of the night because the door is ajar. Really it was slightly open. I was very scared. Come to find out in the darkness of the room about an inch an entire inch crack is in between the door and the doorway. The door would not close any further. I could see straight out into the street and see all the cars. They could have probably seen me after I got out of the shower, great. I could not sleep the rest of the night.

We got there after midnight and left by 8 am.. just slept. Served its purpose.

Hotel was ok the air conditioner was loud and the iron did not work. The building was old and found a bug in the room and there was no forks for breakfast to eat with.

breakfest was good, free wifi, walking distance to lots of food. hotel bathroom was forgotten to be cleaned but they fixed it.. the chair had a stain but all else, nice big tv, with hbo.

Requested a non-smoking room, my husband is on oxygen and end stage C.O.P.D we walked into our room and was floored by the smell of cigarettes. The parking areas near the rooms are not handicap accessable. We had to back in and lower his power wheelchair to the side walk. Our clothes and all of our luggage were permeated with the smell of cigarettes. The window did not lock. We were not aware prior to making our reservation that is was graduating weekend and Big 12 Baseball in same weekend or we would have booked a hotel much sooner and in Manhattan.

Hotel was clean. However carpet t needs cleaned. Took shower and just walking from bathroom to bed my frrt were dirty again. Breakfast needs more. During stay lost power in our room and didn't come back on till 230am so made room hot with no ac.

Lobby was fine, clean outside area but the room smelled like urine, looked clean but smell was BAD.

Arrived at the hotel and the sheets were dirty. There were four people in our room and only one sets of towels. One roll of toilet tissue and no spare roll. Floor was filthy. Crumbs on the bedspreads. When this was brought to the attention of the front desk clerk, she rolled her eyes at us and had a bad attitude for the remainder of our stay. The next day, NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS HAD BEEN CORRECTED. The price for this hotel was good, but don't expect clean rooms or decent service. It is a good location if you are visiting at Fort Riley. A straight shot to the main gate of post. We asked for a non smoking room and it reaked of smoke and had been heavily sprayed with room freshener. There was a non smoking sign taped to the room door. Obviously they change the room according to what they need. The breakfast was good but the ordinary hotel fair. Strictly the bare minimum and bad attitudes and service. Rooms on the front of the hotel were noisy. We were next to the front desk and at night the desk clerk had visitors that came and blared their car stereo that shook all the windows on the front rooms. Needless to say, we will try other hotel arrangements next trip!

The upholstery on a sofa in the room was dirty. The flooring and hand rails on the exterior looked as if they had not been washed in 10 years. The hand rails were 90% coated in dirt. The concrete gray floor had spills over 50% of the areas. I tripped twice and came close to falling from their metal stairs. I looked for 15 minutes and never found an ice maker. The room was much better than the exterior, but after walking to it, you were afraid to stay there. The complimentary breakfast was 90% carbs and we had to listen to a woman staying there go on and on how they should have stayed at the Marriott, and how this hotel was terrible!

The Hotel was small and bare bones. No pool for the kids and one lonely soda machine. Thank goodness we didn't check in until midnight and left by 11:00am. It is the 1st Hotel I've ever been to that charged for a late checkout, $10 per hour. All this for $83.00 per night. I won't do it again.

Was treveling with a pet. Pet cleaning fee was $25.00! No other hotel accepting pets has ever changed me more than $10. When I objected, clerk had no explanation. Since room was prepaid - I had no other choice. Checkin time took 20 minutes while clerk worked on computer. At checkout next morning, statement showed my charge card had been charged $25.00 3 times, then credited 2 times. On return home, bank statement showed double charge of $25.00 (or $50.00) for pet cleaning fee.

I am incredibly sorry to hear about all of the issues you dealt with during your stay with us at the Super 8. We are currently in the process of making some huge changes to our property-for the better! We have a new manager and some wonderful new staff hired that will make all of the difference at making this hotel the best one possible! We want all of our guests to have an enjoyable and relaxing time at our beautiful hotel and I am sorry that we dropped the ball meeting your (and our) expectations. We will be working incredibly hard to make sure this hotel is one that you would want to come back too. We hope that this negative experience will not deter you from our brand in the future and that you would be willing to stay with us again and give us more feedback. We thank you for all of your time and your comments as they help us make some much needed improvements to our hotel.

Hello Michele, It is a pleasure to know that you enjoyed our convenient location and local eateries! I apologize for the confusion surrounding the layout of the building, you can rest assured that the rooms in both buildings are uniform. Our property is in a busy and well lit part of town where security is not a major issue, however, I do understand your concern. Our front desk attendant would have been more than happy to address the issue with the door, even help you move you to a new room if needed. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us; you are welcome back any time!
