DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Santa Monica

Well maintained property in downtown Santa Monica

If you want to stay in downtown Santa Monica but not right on the beach, this is a pretty good choice. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, and the property is within walking distance to most restaurants and businesses as well as public transportation. (Only downside is that it sits right on the 10 Freeway, which can be busy and noisy.) The hotel is a bit of a panopticon - if you have an interior room, remember to draw your blinds or someone will end up peeking in on you. Front desk staff seemed overwhelmed when i checked in and checked out, but this didn't otherwise affect my overall stay.

Loews Hollywood Hotel

Cleanness concern

Everything about this hotel is good especially the location. Only complain that I had was about the cleanness, during my 4 nights stay, I had noticed they did not change the bed sheet at all. Every time I had noticed was very late at night that I just wanted to sleep. However, you can tell them anytime and they will change the sheet which they have to do it in first place.

Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City

Perfect as a part of The Universal Studios experie

Easy to find. Daily parking rate, in and out privileges. Best thing to do is to simply park your car and take the shuttle to Universal Studios them park or Citiwalk. Shuttles are 15 mins apart from 9am-9pm. Staff are courteous and professional. Parts of the hotel give away its age. Carpeting in room can use some TLC. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Gateway Hotel Santa Monica

Hotel needs renovation

Hotel was average and in need of more amenities and food choices. Rooms very plain and sparse. Resort fees high considering what it offered. Overpriced in general.
