Booked via MMT and received a good deal for a executive deluxe room for two of us. However when checked in we were given standard or superior room and upon complaining our room was changed. We noticed the amenities were for single pax and not for two. The location ia good. Hotel is also good. No complaints as such. Breakfast was reasonably good. Via Ola or Uber its Rs 300+ from the airport. Via airport pre paid taxi its Rs 600 to the hotel. Room service was quick and good. No complaints as such. The bed had an extension which hurts legs. While check out the reception charged some extra amount for bed and all by mistake and after pointing out they canceled the amount. Surprised how careless the staff could be...if not pointed out i would have lost Rs 1500 plus.
First day room service did not change the seats even after being asked, second day the sheets were changed but the replacement sheets had food stains on them! AC and hot water barely worked, and staff are slow to respond. Would not recommend.
Nice and hearty welcome at entrance and lobby with good response. Rooms were tidy and clean except for wooden floors which looks worn out. All amneties were available and working. Bathroom is clean and nice. Restaurant has very tasty and variety of foods and fruits. Staff were nice and warm.
I visited the Hotel Goldfinch in July 03 to July 04. I stayed in Room 605. The rooms are spacious, clean, clean towels, mild smell toiletries & comfortable AC. The Roof Top Restaurant Sana-De-sa host a wide variety of good veg dishes. Appam & stew was delicious. The buffet breakfast is well spread out with delicious variety. A nice place to stay & dine.
The corridors are dingy and dark. Room was not cleaned properly. Overall the properly looks very old and rooms are not maintained well. The only saving grace is their service. Overall it's not worth the amount they charge. Can get a better deal in the same price.
Staying the hotel and writing this review at 3 am in the morning. Booked room for three. They charged for additional person but no space in the room for additional person totally cramped even for two. Corridors are smelly.. and the whole family has been sneezing since we came in. Complained to the front desk guy and he is interested in getting more money and upgrading to suite room. Already paying close to 7k for room. Just not worth it. I had stayed two times earlier few years back.. was a good place with clean rooms. Made a mistake coming here.
We stayed here for 3 nights. As we had pre-booked the room, check-in was smooth and fast. Staff of the hotel are quite polite and helpful. Room was comfortable. The buffet breakfast had plenty of options (mostly local dishes) and was very good. Room service was quick with very good options of fresh Manglorean seafood. Would definitely stay here on our next visit to Mangalore.
Good amenities.Less of personal attendance. Can't afford a free walk along the road nearby since there is no walkway on the road. The city is peaceful and good natured people. Should be good in rainy season as it is located on the sea shore. One can look at weekend getaway to enjoy nature.
This place is situated in the city centre however the sign board to identify the place is placed at invisible point , it's quite clean and staff is good , breakfast is average quality , parking is not an issue
We with family's total booked 4 rooms 8 adults and 2 kids, our check in date in 30th of April and check out is on 2nd May 2017. We came from Goa to Mangalore by road, We already have a mail confirmation of our booking number 162019. Though we had to visit temples on the way are Murdeswar and Sree Mookambigai it was late for us to check in so Myself called the hotel and told we are on the way so it will be late for us to check in, but the hotel person told sorry we are full. We again told that we having our confirmation also they not accepted. We dont have any other contacts in mangalore except this hotel, so went directly around 11:00 PM at night with the entire family where we go and look after other rooms. they said they are helpless. After more conversation we told we will sit in the reception lobby itself, after that they are made a room in some other hotel. As a hotelier rules the hotel has to wait till next day morning, if we not arrive they has to provide our room to others, we came on the same day, but no room for us. those who select this hotel never trust their words. even if in writing. My number is 9994395306. and 9840095306
