My reason for stating was that I went to the lowery theatre for a show and wouldn’t make the train home so I decided to stay the night. And I wish I had stayed longer! The hotel was beautiful. My room was huge. I had a double bed, desk, hairdryer, sofa, tv, huge bathroom and space galore. It was very clear and tidy. The staff were pleasant and helpful, which always makes a stay better! The hotel itself was beautifully designed. The reception area was lovely as was the bar. The view from my window was stunning as media city is a lovely area! I didn’t have breakfast there as the shopping centre, with multiple cafes and shops was just over the road.

I’m a platinum IHG member and was given an upgrade to the exec floor on 16 (where I spotted Sir Chris Hoy), And late check out (3pm). Both very appreciated as I was running the marathon. The welcome was great. The room had a bath with rainfall shower over it (good for a pre and post run soak). Room was large with an amazing view. It was clean, quiet and dark. Good TV with accessible HDMI to plug your device in and watch Netflix etc. Parking is not in the car park opposite but in the Media City multi-storey, a very short walk away (2 mins). 5th floor and up is long stay, make sure you park the end nearer he hotel for easier access. It’s usually over £20 for 24hrs but reduced to £10 if you have your card stamped by the hotel. Only complaints were the AC which is poor (rotary dial that didn’t seem to do anything). Plus the extractor in the bathroom was unpredictable. Despite this, a rare 5 stars from me - the staff seemed genuinely upset I wasn’t happy and gave me a free drink :) Thanks for a great stay.

I’m a Yorkshire lad so this beguiles me a tad, but ... I stayed on the 15th floor, what a view!! Cracking place this is away from the city centre. £3 on a tram from Piccadilly central. Very modern infrastructure, hotel is great value at £79 ... well worth a night out, pubs, eateries and shopping here too 👍

A very nice hotel. Would stay again. Very clean and tidy staff were very friendly. Especially Charlie, can’t praise him enough. He was so very efficient. He even helped us out in the restaurant. And when we had to cut our visit back by a day due to a family problem he was again so helpful.

When I landed in Manchester, had to search a bit for this hotel.... But turned out to be memorable stay.. Breathtaking view of the canal and media city was the highlight... Clean rooms and very polite staff... Very much near to the tram station and you can return till 11 night as tram operates till that..Very reasonable rates and would definitely recommend this..

Lovely quiet 1 night stay reception staff very polite and full of energy with great knowledge of area and hotel is centrally located for everything, had a lovely walk out around the nearby area could not fault anything thank you for a pleasant stay.

Good location saving me having to drive into central Manchester for work. However if you are here for more than 2 nights, the discount on the parking is only for the first 2, then it's £24 a day. Not the hotels fault, just FYI. Got a room on the 16th floor. Lovely views. Only complaint was that the lifts seem slow and one was out of use. I'd stay here again.

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn Manchester MediaCity for the last six years, always on business. On checking in this evening despite my room and breakfast being pre paid I was asked a £50 credit card guarantee. I asked why the change as I had never been asked for this before, the receptionist explained that it was a new process. I am also a Gold level IHG Club member but this appears to count for nothing either. This recent process change feels unnecessary to me and that the company are busy loosing the personal touch they have previously displayed in their dealings with regular visitors. Not a happy bunny!

I stay at the Holiday Inn Media City from time to time when up for the football, as it is only a short walk from Old Trafford. On this occasion was there for a conference and stayed just the one night with two colleagues, it is a very modern and well kept hotel and the staff are so helpful and friendly. We booked three executive rooms on the 16th floor and they were excellent, well furnished with good amenities. Only being there for one night we just visited the restaurant for breakfast, food and quality were good and well served. Would definitely stay there again

Comfortable beds, friendly and efficient service, 24hr pizza you can order to your room - what more could you want?! The buffet breakfast included had a good variety and the waiters/waitresses were very lovely and very quick; I ordered an cheese omelette. The view from my window while it was snowing over Media City was gorgeous - I was on the seventh floor. The front desk ordered me a taxi to the station very quickly too! I had a brilliant experience here and would definitely stay again.
