I ate here with my family and expected a fine dining experience. What we actually got was standard pub food. Actually we’ve had better pub food. The staff were friendly and efficient, no complaints there, just the food quality. Won’t go back

This September 2017 I stayed at the Holiday Inn Manchester Media City, UK for a 6-day work conference. When I arrived I checked the bed and found a great deal of blood and urine stains on the mattress and blood stains on the duvet (see photo). Housekeeping replaced the mattress with the cleanest one they could find, although it still had some staining. The duvet was changed to a clean one. The housekeeping manager was understanding and quick to respond. However, a filthy mattress and duvet should have never been in use. A totally disgusting experience.

Always friendly and helpful staff make staying here a joy. Great food (great choice) that is well-presented and well-cooked - delicious. Great rooms with views over Salford and beyond. Lively bar atmosphere too. Ideal, as tram ride into the city centre is just a short walk away. Lowry theatre (saw Elf and it was brilliant) and gallery is close by, as is the Imperial War Museum North.

Nice quiet hotel, great location very close to TV studios, tram station, bars and restaurants. Five minutes walk to the Lowry Mall (and Vue cinema) and also to Lowry theatre. All the staff I dealt with were pleasant, professional, responsive. Lovely breakfast. My room was perfectly fine. Gripes: this was not a cheap stay.

This is the best hotel of it's type that we have stayed in. It is unique in that although it would be considered as "corporate" it still manages to retain the friendliness which it has in abundance, no mean feat when considering the size of the hotel, which is totally thanks to the charming staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. This was our second stay for a theatre trip at the Lowry which is just a ten minute walk away and tram and bus links to Manchester City Centre are just around the corner from the hotel. We had a couple of tiny niggles with the room this time which brought us into contact with the wonderful Amy, a Manager, who dealt with our minute problems with such professionalism and friendliness that it we ended up being glad of our "niggles" as otherwise we may not have had the pleasure of meeting Amy. She also went out of her way to ensure the remainder of our three night stay was everything it should be. So a huge thank you to you, Amy, Holiday Inn should be extremely proud of you. We have another theatre trip booked here for June 2018, but we love this hotel so much we will no doubt be having another break or two in the meantime.

Due to an error on my part I had only booked one night instead of two in the Holiday Inn and the receptionist Fax regretfully informed me that there were no rooms available for the first night! When my wife and I returned to the hotel just before 12 noon we wereinformed that we could enter our room and leave our luggage. The room was clean and well presented . Breakfast was excellent and the waiting staff attentive. When we checked out Faz was once again the receptionist and she asked if we had found a room for the Thursday night, I was surprised that she had remembered me as I hadn't kicked up a fuss as it had been my mistake with the booking! Definitely recommend the hotel and definitely will stay again , this time I would check my email to make sure I hadn't made a mistake!

Stayed here for one night while in town on business. All staff I met were very pleasant and were helpful in suggesting where we should eat (and it wasn't their own restaurant) The room was clean and the bed comfy. I think the master lights witch in my room must not have been working as having tried every single light switch near the bed and finding none of them turned every light off I ended up having to wander round the room turning the gazillion individual lights off. Also, the lighting in the bathroom takes ages to get up to a useful level (give it at least 5 minutes to rev up)

Started here for a wedding weekend. Clean and modern hotel. Breakfast was great and car parking although in a nearby car park was easy try to access. Just one complaint the Hotel was very hot ! Had a rather drink guest annoying our party on one night and the manager was fantastic in dealing with the situation, really great.

Stayed for a wedding for 1 night, Daniel worked extremely hard in getting us our room earlier than check in time. Room was great, good size. Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment, parked in car park which was £8.50 for 1 night.

A great location for any visit to media city or Lowry etc. Nice sized rooms, good staff and generally very good - a couple of issues like not having the room serviced and some slightly slovenly aspects to house keeping were taken care of by the staff at reception. Obviously ideally there should be no issues but in this case they were minor and dealt with effectively- the only really unsatisfactory thing was a glass of wine for almost £10, seriously are we all that crazy ?!
