good location for shops and ferry. nice hotel been renovated but still needs more attention. 3 lifts constantly out of service. food could be a bit more desirable, staff very helpful. walk in shower was nice but flooded bathroom floor needed attention given time to iron out problems could be nice hotel

It is splendidly situated - for the local bars and restauarants, for the views of the creek, for the convenience of the stroll to the Valletta ferry, and the ease of the short walk to St Julian's Bay. Seaview rooms are lovely. They have been recently refurbished, and housekeeping is excellent. But there are too many things that need to improve. 1. I booked a superior room with seaview, but I was put into a side seaview room. When I complained, I was moved. The fact that someone I spoke to in the bar that evening had had the same experience, suggests that my experience wasn't an accident. 2. The lifts are dreadful. During my six days there was not one day when they were all working. On one day none was working. It is a long walk to the 11th floor. Even when working, the lifts are extremely slow and inefficient. 3. When I booked originally I asked about building works in the hotel. I was told that none were planned. On two morning I was woken by building noise before 7am. It might have been the hotel next door. I wasn't going to get out that early to investigate. 4. They advertise daily newspapers, but when you order a paper it is left at reception. They refuse to deliver to rooms. I did ask, but was told 'no' - without a lot of charm. 5. The quality of staff at reception varies enormously. Some are very helpful. Some are not. All spend too much time looking at their computer screens. 6. You need to ask if you would like bath robes. 6. Breakfast could have been better. Drinks are poor, and they keep running out of mugs. This hotel has so much potential. Get the deatils right and you have a four star establishment. But someone needs to get a grip, and sort out the niggly annoying details.

We stayed here for four days recently and had a perfectly good stay. However, I wouldn't say this hotel is quite at a four star standard. On the face of it it's nicely designed and has had a fresh lick of paint, but overall it seems unfinished, but that could well be because it is. We were more than comfortable but there were a few touches missing for this to be a four star. One of the big problems, as other reviewers have mentioned, was the lifts. They are simply not fit for purpose. After the first day we gave up and took the stairs everywhere, despite the barriers restricting access. If you stood and waited for the lifts, or should I say one functional lift, you would waste most of your holiday! Another issue experienced was the noise. There seemed to be building works going on throughout the night, which puzzled us somewhat. This could be part of the refurbishment, but there was no need for it to be taking place in the early hours. That said, we enjoyed our stay and would hope that if we were to return that the issues we experienced were merely teething problems.

Hotel is okay after the renovation- but it seems to be incomplete. Lifts under maintenance and one lift dropped and froze while I was in it, then there was a bang on the roof and the door wouldn’t open completely. Also there’s no way to deadbolt the room door? A definite design oversight. Yordan working on Breakfast (morning 30th) and handing out food at the Xmas drinks evening of 29th, was indifferent and provided no warmth or friendly service. Dimitriov (Spelling?) was friendly and made an effort to communicate with guests. Staff should spend more time interacting with customers - you’re missing a great opportunity for interaction and positive guest experience. Instead we hear them talking to each other and joking and laughing and the occasional crash of plates as they noisily stack dirty plates together. (Example being Yordan as previously mentioned) Suggest to undergo some retraining for the team and have management present to monitor performance. This is hospitality and we should feel welcomed, not feel that we are imposing on staff with our presence. Many thanks.

I've stayed here one night in December. While the lobby is nice, front desk staff friendly and rooms clean the dinner buffet is big letdown. For the price they're asking you're better off taking a walk to town and eating there. Lots of options in the neigbourhood. Views from the rooms are also not worh mentioning, all you see is other rooms balcony's.

We had the top floor with a balcony overlooking Sliema Creek and Valletta in the distance. Excellent room. Bed 6ft wide and so comfortable. Self service breakfast, and. Set evening meal, several courses for 22euros. Lovely bar.

Had a great holiday in Malta and the hotel in sliema the waterfront was absolutely great ideal located for the shops either side of the hotel and had a nice breakfast bar and evening meal in the hotel restaurant and the hotel had a gym and outside swimming pool

This was booked through a well know Booking dot com site we use frequently because the reviews are not cherry picked like some booking sites. I was there with my wife for 5 days of intensive touristy type activities. First impressions were very good, recently refurbished and lovely and modern and clean, although we had to wait longer than expected for our room to be made available. The concierge took our bags and stored them while we went out for lunch. This is when we discovered how handy the hotel is for the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes of Sliema. The views across the bay are fabulous (if you're a Game of Thrones fan then this will look a little bit familiar!) and a walk along the seafront is a must. Our room was to a high standard and the bathroom which was of the "wet room" type we both found to be good. We were on half-board and the first couple of nights enjoyed the restaurant which was very, very quiet. Only about eight people there. The food was good and the staff lovely and friendly. On our third night we were informed by letter than because of the small number of people wanting evening meal we would have to take it in the bar. Not ideal, I'd have to say and if we'd known would not have taken the half board option. The food was good though and apart from one deadly couple near us who took exception to everything and everyone we enjoyed it. Second night was the same and then after that we were allowed back in the restaurant. The staff in the bar were great to talk to and one of them with family connections to the Maltese Government told us loads about the island and in particular Game of Thrones locations. On that subject, if you like GOT then book the tour with Malta Film Tours and Malcolm Ellul, it is fabulous. If you want to visit Valletta then use the ferry. The buses are frequent but also frequently full and they won't let you on. A good hotel experience we both thought.

Warm welcome on arrival and overall feel of hotel was one of quality. We had a fairly large room (604) on the 6th floor with balcony and sea view. The sea view was amazing but we didn't use the balcony, too noisy from the traffic below, and the balcony light was not working anyway.TV reception was ok for the English speaking international news channels but the signal was often lost with the music channels. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice but we were not particularly impressed with dinner. Ok though, and we ate there twice, then experimented with the wide selection of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity where for the same or less money you can eat very well.

the hotel it's very nice and the personnel it's very kind. The breakfast it's good. I have a port side room , it's very spacious, the bathroom it's big and clean. On the balcony I have a table with 2 chairs. In the room you have everything you need to make a coffee or tea. The hotel it's close to many pub' s.
