Ended up at the Waterfront Hotel by surprise with a group of friends. The buffet was fantastic with all kind of meat, fish, soup.salads and cheese.Finish up with delicious dessert.flowing wine and water.with reasonale price and first class service.GreatView of Valletta With easy parking.
My husband and I have just returned from the Waterfront Hotel. We have stayed there many times before it was refurbished. It was lovely then but since being refurbished it's really excellent. I would like to mention I did send an email requesting a lower floor as I do not like lifts and was really pleased we were given a lovely room on the third floor. The room was lovely and clean and had a great view overlooking the bay. We were half board and the food was excellent. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and different choices most nights for the dinner menus. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. One night the fire alarm went off. All the guests made their way to the foyer but there were no staff to explain it was a false alarm. No explanation at all. . There was one receptionist on duty so my husband asked if it was ok to go back to the room . He said yes. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and we will definitely be back.
The Waterfront hotel is in a fantastic location with front facing rooms overlooking a harbour with views across to Valetta. Rooms are good and although our holiday company said there was none there was a kettle and hair drier. The stag were great all really friendly and helpful. It is bright and cheerful the swimming pools though are both really splash pools.. The roof terrace gives fantastic views. Breakfasts were a bit repetitive not the best but holiday hotels rarely are. Out of the front door and its a stroll to many bars and restraunts but would advise crossing the road and walk on that side as the path on the hotel side are atrocious. Will return because of its location and staff
A good experience, and holiday. Staff very nice, hotel face lift attractive, but clinical looking, food excellent. My room on the 2nd floor very spacious, lovely ensuite, very new, very clean. However woken 5.30 am through waste disposal lorry and street noise. Early risers in Siliema, busy main road. Only concern is lifts have to be used, I nervous of lifts. Emergency staircase allows you to go down, but doors self lock behind, which is scary. There was a fire alarm and it was frightening, unfortunately staff on reception did not take lead to guide people out but remained behind desk? This definitely needs improving. I would check about the locking doors on stairs if I were you before booking. If there was a fire would these doors release, especially if it was an electrical fire?? Better safe than sorry. Oh there is a Smart tv in room which looses wifi signal all the time, and if you don't have a smart phone to connect to it, (Samsung I think) it only gives you news, needs a film channel/entertainment channel for us technophobes.
Arrived back yesterday from this beautiful hotel and would highly recommend it. I was there for 4 night break with my 2 sisters and had requested a triple room. Although we had expected 3 singles beds there was a superking bed and a folding bed. Management said they would change the beds the next day but after a great nights sleep we told them we would stick with what we had. As we were sisters its not the first time 2 of us have had to share a bed and as it was massive there as no problem. The hotel is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful and pleasant. Always a smile and nothing was too much for them. he dining room where we had breakfast was over looking the water which was amazing. As we were breakfast only I can't comment on the evening menu. Indoor pool was lovely and there's a small gym. Only fault I could find were the pillows on the beds. I think although they were extremely clean, like the rest of the room and hotel, they were very lumpy. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay again if I return to Malta.
Just returned from this hotel, we had a sea view, we did hear road noise but it didn't disturb us. The hotel is lovely, theres an indoor pool with small gym and a sun terrace. We stayed half board but the evening meal choice wasn't to our liking; very limited choice of veg although the soup was always very nice. Our room was a good size, hairdryer in the bathroom, tea/coffee facilities. Excellent daily room service. There is very limited English tv programmes, it also kept losing signal this could sometimes be every 10min. There are 3 lifts; these can be slow. While we were there the fire alarm went off, no info or direction provided by staff and I was surprised to find that the bar was still serving. There is a supermarket just around the corner which we found very useful. Bar prices were good, theres happy hour daily and half price cocktails every wed. Locality of hotel was brilliant ferry to Valletta just across the road, close to bus stops, bar and shops.
Spacious rooms with excellent walk in shower and a view across the water that had me up at six in the morning to photograph the sunrise! Wifi strong; could do with more than six coat hangers; bathroom door hung on wrong side opening into the basin with a door stop to catch your toes on! Great view from dining room too with standard hot buffet breakfast. Evening meal average but bar meal much better for a single course and drink. If anyone found a reasonable meal nearby please message me! Hotel location within short walk of the ferry to Valetta. Take you UK bus pass for ID for a lower price! Hotel very clean and tidy and staff all friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back again.
The Waterfront Hotel is perfectly positioned for boat trips and for catching the ferry to Valletta which is an absolute must. The hotel was very clean and although I didn't have a room overlooking the bay, the views from those rooms that do have a view must be quite spectacular. The hotel was very clean but they did not have an a la carte menu. Instead they have a hot and cold buffet which might not appeal to everyone. The young waiting staff were polite and very keen to help.
We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay than the Waterfront hotel. It has the BEST location. It’s on the doorstep to Gzira, Sliema and St Julian’s. Opposite the hotel is the beautiful capital city Valletta. My friend and I enjoyed taking the ferry across the harbour into Valletta. The bus stop is on the same side of the hotel and across the street, which make it very convenient to travel to anywhere on the island and we didn’t have to walk far. It was like taking a public taxi. Hotel and location were excellent all round.
The Waterfront Hotel has been renovated and it shows. Rooms are spacious, clean and very modern. Staff are friendly, hotel breakfast was nice and the bar inside the hotel is cheap. Highly recommend and would stay again.
