My Husband and I stayed at this fabulous Hotel for 7 nights for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. On arrival to our Superior room on the 6th Floor, we were surprised and delighted with the gorgeous display on our bed with petals and swans and a chilled bottle of Processco and Maltese Biscuits. A real treat. The staff at The Victoria from the Housekeeping to the bar staff & Waiters & Waitress & Receptionists and not forgetting William in the Hotel’s shop selling local crafts, are the Friendliest, helpful people we have ever come across. Breakfast in the hotel was an amazing selection of food and gorgeous cakes . We loved ,loved our treatments in the Spa and again the staff’s knowledge of their treatments and products were outstanding, their care of their Clients and attention I haven’t seen in such a long time. We ate out during the day as we had a lot of tours booked. But we always had a cheeky cocktail in the evening and they always had a happy hour. Their food in the evening ,we saw leaflets left on our room doors were always themed by a different country every evening , I am sure were also fantastic, but as I said we were out till late every day. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone .
We have just returned from a lovely week's break at The Victoria. From the warm welcome at check in (with a free upgrade thrown in!) To the facilities and food, we really cannot think of any negatives at all! The rooftop pool area was so relaxing, and had fantastic views of Sliema, Valletta and beyond. We ate lunch up here on a couple of occasions and it was lovely. There is a decent bar too just near the pool. Penny Black bar was good -excellent staff & cocktails. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, having a little balcony was a nice bonus too. Really clean, and the aircon was fine. Had a wonderful spa treatment, there were some excellent offers and packages -staff again were professional and welcoming. We were on a half board basis and there was always plenty of choice in The Copperfield restaurant, or you can go to one of The Palace's restaurants where you have a supplement. Temptasian on the top floor was to die for, and a must if you are staying here or The Palace. Staff were brilliant, and the food was so, so tasty!! I would fly back to Malta for another meal there in a heartbeat! Hotel is really conveniently located for the town, ferries and other areas of interest. The walk to St.Julians was lovely. Valletta and Mdina were highlights and are not to be missed. Five star holiday, would definitely return and will be recommending to all!!
We had a lovely time at The Victoria Hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice and comfortable and was happy we chose to have a balcony. The breakfast choice was fantastic...something for everyone. The pool area was lovely, and there were always plenty of sun beds available for everyone. Nice bar in the hotel, with a very friendly/fun barman, Alfred(hope I've remembered his name!) who always had a tale to tell. The hotel is is a fantastic location, walking distance to the town. We didn't have any complaints at all, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Although not on the seafront, this hotel does aim to make the most of its place in the city. Staff are friendly. Rooms are up to date and food is of good quality. A range of facilities are available for use
Stayed here for 4 nights for our yearly mum/daughter holiday - fantastic hotel, great central location, beautiful superior room on the 6th floor with sea views! Gorgeous rooftop area and pool, great to watch the sun go down! We had breakfast every morning, and ate at both the Black Penny Bar and the Rooftop Asian Restaurant - both of which we would highly recommend! Staff throughout the hotel were wonderful! Would definitely return to the hotel again if we come to Malta again and would recommend to anyone!
We stayed at the Victoria half board for ten nights. We had a superior room on the fifth floor with a sea view balcony.Staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly across the board.Breakfast was cereals, continental or full English, buffet style.Evening meals were buffet style, had a choice of four or five main courses.Daily menu changes. We found the dining staff very efficient, not allowing a finished plate to linger more than 1 minute 😊.There is a magnificent infinity pool on the roof which is shared with the palace hotel, found the water nippy in October. The bar tenders at the penny black bar were very sociable and professional,we loved the cocktails! .Beware if staying in Sliema as there are "Access holiday club" reps looking for vulnerable brits to frogmarch to the preluna towers hotel for an hour" presentation" where they will try to get you to part with lots of cash for no return. You have been warned ! Overall we loved Malta and the Victoria hotel in particular.Hope to come back again soon.👍
Stayed here 11th-18th October. The hotel is well located, central to Sliema, just a few minutes walk down to the seaside. We stayed on the second floor in a standard room. The room was great, huge bed, fridge, a nice balcony! Only cons were the air con which didn't keep us cool enough, particularly in the night and the hairdryer...like drying my hair with a hoover! Clunky and ineffective! The hotel itself was clean and spacious. Breakfast is to a good standard. Sausages were anaemic some mornings so the chef needs to cook them for longer! We used the bar a couple of nights which I've left a separate review for. Rooftop pool is great, as is the indoor pool/ spa! Would recommend a stay here!
I can’t complain about the location or the staff. Breakfast was also excellent. I’m fairly certain our sheets were dirty though when we arrived though they remedied the situation. Also the air conditioning wasn’t working at full capacity and we found ourselves hot a few nights. But I think that I would stay here again because the breakfast was good, location is excellent and staff were great!
This hotel is located next door to the St James Clinic and is a short walk to the waterfront. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The corridors between rooms are a little dark and gloomy. My room was stylish and clean. Comfortable twin beds, a large shower and a changing area. The view was not spectacular - into an apartment block, but this was a small detail. The inroom digital safe was a little complex and could do with instructions. The hotel has a fantastic indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym. There is also an outdoor pool for the summer. Breakfast was a buffet with good choice and quality. Overall a nice stay and I would be happy to stay again.
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 13 years for both business and leisure. It is the quality of service the staff provide that makes it stand out. Whilst the high quality of service has been a constant, the recent refurbishment has greatly improved the rooms and facilities. The rooftop pools are a lovely location to sunbath and relax and the hotel is well located to explore Sliema or take the ferrry or a bus to Valletta.
