My wife and I stayed at the Soreda two years ago and loved enough to write a review then, and I am pleased to say it has not changed. Value for money this is the best hotel in the area. Lovely helpful staff, good food selection, clean, quiet area but very accessible to coast, bus station and all Buggiba amenities. Whenever we visit again this hotel will always be our first choice.
Hotel good for singles and families rooms basic but very clean staff especially in dining very efficient and friendly Food plentiful can be a bit hit or miss but there is plenty of choice, position of hotel located in a quiet residential area. A short walk to bars shops and seafront A special mention for Richard on reception a very kind and helpful man usually on nightduty
I signed on to trip advisor just to review this hotel as I was well impressed. We went on an all inclusive family holiday to Malta for the summer and booked a 7 night stay at this hotel. I am glad we did. We arrived at about mid night, and the nice manager on duty welcomed us and helped us settle in. We even had sandwiches and drinks for the night. The room was a family room. very spacious and clean, with plenty of towels. Nice bathroom with power shower. Wifi works great, and AC works great which was needed as temperatures soared to 40degrees while we where there. The room was cleaned every morning by a nice lady. The dinning room was really nice, with a lot of variety even for the kids. They had the best staff there. Very friendly and courteous and welcoming. They must have cleared our table at least 7 times, one night. (if I remember correctly, I think his name was Vincent). On the all inclusive, if you didn't fancy what was being served in the dinning room, you could go up to the terrace bar and order burgers, sandwiches, nuggets. The pools were nice, usually crowded on the roof top pool, but you have 2 others to choose from. Location wise, its not far from iceland (lol), walking distance to some attractions and easy access to buses. Overall I couldn't fault the hotel, and if we are to go back to Malta, we will definitely be going back there .
We booked the Soreda for a week away but were disappointed. The hotel is dated and in need of an upgrade . The room was basic and clean but the plumbing was poor ,with a shower with no power and a toilet which needed repetitive flushing to work . The food was poor quality and with not much choice and was not up to the standard that we were expecting .( the cold meat selection consisted of spam ,luncheon meat and chopped up cold chicken and beef burgers which was very bland and it was not unusual for the restaurant to run out of the dessert choice half way through the service time ) The staff at the hotel were hardworking and helpful throughout our stay but overall our experience was a disappointing one and unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel
We have just come back from a stay at this hotel. I have to admit that I was really worried when I read the bad reviews but I honestly don't know what the issues were. It is a really nice hotel, rooms large clean and beds comfortable. Entertainment is really good and staff really friendly and helpful. We were all inclusive and there was a good selection each meal time. I can see that the food might get a bit 'samey' after the first week but you can easily break it up by having the odd meal outside of the hotel. There was always a really good soup and a big selection of salad and cooked meats as well as hot food and desserts. Many guests were returning to the hotel for the second and third time. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. For the price that you pay this hotel is spot on......to those that gave a bad review....... if you want 5 star luxury then you have to pay for it.
First of all if you are looking to book this hotel don't get hung up on the "is it really a 4 star hotel". What it is an excellent value for money hotel. The food is good with plenty of choice. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable, air conditioning is good, maybe a bit on the loud side when on full blast, but I always take ear plugs. The Wifi seemed to be great throughout the hotel, I was able to download shows from Netflix in my room in a matter of seconds. There are 3 pools all spotlessly clean. the indoor pool seemed to be the quietest. The rooftop pool can get a little bit lively. There is entertainment every night. The entertainment was the type you would get in a social club in the 80's so may not be to everyone's taste but I enjoyed it. Yes the furniture may be a little dated, yes it may be in a residential area with not much to look at from the balcony, but in Qawra you are always 5-10 minutes away from where you need to be. You could book the "4 Star" San Antonio and pay 2 or 3 times the price, or you could book the Soreda and get way more than you pay for. Last but not least all the were great, friendly and always helpful
We had our half honey moon in Qawra. The hotel itself is located in quite area. We were given the average room for the first night which we didn't like, but thanks to the manager in reception we were moved to the apartment a cross the street,. It was very private, big place, which we liked. The food is very good. Every night is some entertaiment on the roof. It is the place for quite and relaxed stay, which we liked.
We really liked this hotel, we went all inclusive for the first time in Europe and found the food varied and plentiful. The dining room staff, especially Fiona and Johann were friendly, helpful and efficient as was Yuri in the bar. The room was spacious and clean.
We took our daughter a single Mum of 4 to the this hotel. We booked a room for 3 and were pleasantly surprised that she had a room of her own attached to the hallway next to ours! The hotel is off the main seafront but very nice not too far to walk. The amenities were excellent could not complain about the food and staff that served us - nothing was too much for them. Also having a rooftop pool and indoor pool and a gym was a bonus !
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Rooms are massive with plenty of storage space, very comfortable beds, table and chairs in room and on the balcony. There is a kettle, cups & glasses and a fridge. The air conditioning is excellent and very easy to control. Bathroom is very well equipped and again is very spacious. Everything is very clean and tidy with daily maid service, towels were changed every day. We stayed all inclusive and we're amazed at the choice of meals available, the restaurant is very well laid out with plenty of staff ( who were all very helpful & friendly).
