Quality of food unacceptable. Complained to management to no avail.E Mails to hotel owner on return did not receive the common courtesy of a reply. We will not return to this hotel again and have already booked elsewhere for next year.
I recently stayed a week at the Park Hotel, Sliema, Malta. I had a wonderful holiday on a magical island, but the hotel was a disappointment. It is well placed, off the main road and in a quiet location. My room was excellent, clean, bright and with a view of the sea. But the rest of the hotel was not bright! The lobby is very dark and dingy and the restaurant, which I gathered had been leased out to another company. served very bland and mediocre food, for a four star rating. The room itself was bright and spacious and the staff were very obliging. But dinner each day was same ish, dry and overcooked! I regret not opting for bed and breakfast rather than half board. I n fact I had dinner out for two nights, just to brighten up the culinary side of my holiday. I suppose the Park Hotel is four star rated because it has two very good swimming pool facilities as well as a gym. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful but the atmosphere was rather dull and dingy. Our peace and quiet was also shattered by the arrival (invasion) of 2 groups of Italian children and youths, who were over noisy and most inconsiderate and ill mannered. I did visit other hotels in the area, with a similar rating (4 star) and found them to be far better facilities. So I cannot recommend this hotel. There are plenty of others that shine out so much more
We stayed in Park Hotel for 3 nights. The first thing you'll notice about the hotel as soon as you go to the rooms is the strong awful smell of chlorine. The hotel as an indoor swimming pool (kind of thing) on the underground floor that makes this smell. That was the biggest turn-off. Almost everything in this hotel is old and outdated. The leather sofas in the lobby are actually torn from center. The main door makes extremely loud noise when opens or closes. The furniture in the room and things in the bathroom are also very old. The carpet in the hallway is as old as a grandma. The breakfast buffet was average too. We had 4 breakfasts and they serve the SAME THING EVERY SINGLE DAY! The restaurant staff was friendly though. The waitress took my agitated 3 yo for a walk in the breakfast hall and he was fine afterwards. Very sweet of her. In short, it's def not a 4-star hotel as they claim it.
Came to this hotel when another hotel we visited in Sliema was too bad to stay in. Very accommodating, staff very nice. Rooms were nice, especially for the price! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting sliema, and there’s a good chance I’d stay there again!
Stained mattresses no way 4 star 1 star more like spoke the manager she put phone down when i asked her what she going to do about it bacony looked on to back yards freezer blocked with ice appalling breakfast appalling no fresh milk in room powdered rubbish no wifi in room 6th floor loads more photos but will only let me put on 4
Location is great but everything in this hotel looks like you're living in the 80's, it surely need refurbishing. Don't expect much from breakfast and dinner, they don't cater for celiacs even if they told us they do. all they have gluten free pasta with tomato sauce and fruit. Pool is ok but also needs some maintenance of the surroundings. Hotel is good if you need a place to shower and a quick sleep (would be late after all kids and students get tired running in the corridors and smashing doors). If you need a hotel to relax and enjoy the views you better book somewhere else.
This hotel is a hidden gem, great warm indoor pool and gym, Breakfast in with the price and buffet style so great value. Right by the sea and good restaurants and on,y a shor5 walk to excursions and the ferry for VALETTA so truly amazing value for money.
General state of the hotel is poor and in need of refurbishment. Woke up at 2:00 and found bedbugs, sat on balcony for the rest of the night. Stayed one night only then left for elsewhere for obvious reasons.
This hotel was dated but clean with good housekeeping services-just remember to put out the do not disturb sign. Wall Hairdryer and kettle tea/coffee shampoo all in room. TV worked but had to be done manually. Fridge in room. Powerful shower but done damage to bath. Free wifi in lobby. Nice staff. Fantastic Lebanese cafe really close. Easy access to bus stop. Download the tallinja app for all bus info. Day buses finish at 10. But they are replaced by night buses. Average price for lunch/ dinner for 1 is about 10-15 euro. But try other areas for takeaway pizza slices kebabs or Arancini or pasty type street food. They're a lot cheaper. All in all a nice hotel in a good location not suited to party goers more suited to single travellers, families or slightly quieter travellers. Beds were a little hard but still got a good nights sleep
We were very dissappointed with this hotel! Really hard beds, ’clean’ towels with brown stains, big but terrible breakfastbuffet, not one thing tasted good! We ended up buying breakfast at a nearby restaurant. The pool-area was OK but almost all the sunbeds were in some way broken and mattrasses not cleaned in forever. We would never stay here again! Really nice receptionstaff though!
