Amazing holiday! Hotel is spotless, food is exactly what you'd expect at an all inclusive. The waiters and the entertainers work ridiculously hard and very long hours but they are always helpful and happy! The pools are amazing and you can always get a lounger round the pool (this doesn't stop people reserving loungers at 8am though 😂)!! The kids entertainment on an evening was similar each night but my kids 6 and 2 loved it and my 6 year old learnt most of the dance moves and is still doing them now we're home!
We just got back from a week stay here . And had a great time . I was very worried leading up to are departure after seeing so many negative reviews on here recently. But I am pleased to say I didn't have any of the issues some people found . The food was always hot and not a bad selection. What you would expect from all inclusive. The snack bar was good to . Good selection of drinks and cocktails. The swimming pools are great . The kids especially liked the bubble . The hotel is so clean and tidy everywhere . Rooms were cleaned 6 days out of 7 we were there very clean . We had a swim up room in block 3 . Which was lovely, but don't think I would book again as some days it was to busy to use as any one can use them even if you don't have a swim up room. And considering how much extra we payed for this it was not worth it . As we could of used it anyway. You get beach towels supplied free here which was good change them 3 times a week . Not much outside hotel . A nice beach but gets very busy couldn't even get a sun lounger at 10 in the morning . A few shops selling usual tourist bits . But we like staying hotel anyway round the pools . Overall we had a great holiday and would return but not in swim up room unless they make them exclusive not for everyone to use .
Stayed from 10th June till 20th, read reviews before our holiday and decided to just go and see for myself, so airport: have been to Mallorca for our holidays so many times as love the island but this time it was very manic going through passport control, queued for over 40 mins and when asking they said to many coming at once, be aware that you will get tourist trying to jump the queues as they don't realise you have to get inline to go through passport control. Transfer to the hotel took 2 hours as dropping off at other resorts, but new this would be the case when booking with Jet2. Hotel reception had no complaints the young lady was helpful and helped us through the checking in process. After reading the reviews on trip Advisor was aware of issues in block 2 and when we where given door card keys and other information noticed we also was put in block 2, my daughter and granddaughter given apartment next door, we would all give it the benefit of the doubt, big mistake!! Air conditioning was a major issue as I'm of a particular age and have tropical moments (menoupause), all patio doors (living area and bedroom) where closed (magnetic connections on both patio doors), and the thermostat control was on 3/fastest, below 10/coolest but still blew out warm air, this was very uncomfortable and I did not sleep for the whole stay of my holiday/very distressing. We did go to reception and report this and they said the maintenance would come and look, this did not resolve the problem. On speaking to other guest in block 2 they also said having the same problem with the air conditioning. I have stayed in many Viva hotels (some now known as Zafiro resorts) and I have never experienced this before. Also as on other reviews the musty smell in block 2 was over welming and you could smell this on your clothes after they had been hung in the wardrobes. The fridge in the kitchen area was rusty on the door and it wouldn't shut due to the seal no longer making contact, unless you wedged it with thecupboard door/rubbish bin. Sunloungers are a plenty no need to reserve at stupid o'clock in the morning, pool only opens at 10am. Many guest leave towels just before breakfast and then return to the sunloungers. Pool areas are cleaned every morning and have lifeguards on every pool. There is so much to do in the pool areas for the kiddies, they will never get board. The wet bar is open from 10.30, on occasions you can be waiting for a while as some staff seemed to be more interested in talking between themselves rather than serving you. The food and service at the pool bar is great, love the chicken club sandwich, the staff here also work the restaurant and the evening bar. The main restaurant is quite between 7.45 and 8.30 in the morning for breakfast but it's really busy/noisy from 6.45 and 8.45pm in the evening, a lot of younger children/babies when I stayed. Entertainment for the kids was the same every night/Buffo and after 9 was adult entertainment, tended to go back to our apartment as quite poor/not to our taste. Need more staff at the evening bar/the waiters over worked, as most nights sat waiting for a very very long time to get our drinks and if you went to the bar inside the queue really really long. House maids doing our rooms very friendly, when walking past the pool areas in the mornings, always say good morning/ola. Have really enjoyed our stay's at Viva hotels/Vanity Suite hotels in the past but a bit disappointed this year. Would we book again? Not sure, would need to make major improvements especially with the amount of money they are asking when booking for 2018.
Wanted to go back here since my kids were small and first choice did the entertainment. Not surprisingly it's changed. Lots of changes to the pools and rooms etc. All good but I noticed it's very small child oriented though I did expect some more teenagers not just my 15 yr old. For that reason I wouldn't go back as she was so bored we went shopping everyday. Our experience was of very hard working friendly staff who would appear all day in different jobs, no rudness. As others have said the food is usual all inclusive and plentiful but is never hot except when you first put it on your plate. Why is this? We only stayed a week and enjoyed sunbathing by the wet bar where we were well looked after. You could upgrade your room but it was quite expensive to go in a jacuzzi room, so we stayed were we had been allocated which was lovely anyway. Have to mention the beds. These are the most comfortable I have ever had and huge, easily queen sized with a memory foam like mattress. No complaints at all other reviews have said all the positives. If you have babies get it booked.
Myself, fiance & two boys aged 5 & 2 visited this hotel during the whit holidays. We stayed for 11 nights all inclusive. The breakfast buffet was brilliant a huge selection of different foods ment you weren't stuck with repeating the same breakfast everyday. Lunch we mainly had at the snack bar by the pool. This was a nice change as it was table service. The food was always of good quality, I think we sampled the full menu during our stay. Dinner was good. Some nights were better than others however you could always find something to eat. The wine and sangria in the buffer restaurant was terrible! It was a help yourself pump, but honestly it was the cheapest quality they probably could have got. Which is a shame because the wine in the bar area was really nice! The other drinks in the bar area were all very good too. The mini disco was enjoyed by the children. However the evening entertainment was pretty dire. There were 3 good shows in the whole of 11 nights. Which for me isn't good enough. African foot print were amazing and the hotel will do good by keeping hold of this act as it was the busiest I'd seen the entertainment area in all the time we were there. The other good shows were the 2 magicians and then the 3 men singing Motown hits. Other than them the other singer's were terrible. The rooms are nice and kept really clean! The maids do an amazing job! As the whole hotel hotel is kept spotless morning, noon and night! The pools were great kept clean and tidy and could always get a sun lounger. The bubble pool was enjoyed by all. The beach is about a 10/15 minute walk, which has plenty of bars, shops and restaurants around it, so definetly worth the trip. The beach itself is very tidy and we'll kept. With lovely turquoise water. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Can picafort. If I ever returned to Can picafort I would 100% stay in this hotel again. But would probably go self catering as there are so many resturantes to eat out at.
Fantastic holiday for two weeks with wife and 2 kids aged 5&4. Pros *spotlessly clean grounds, and our room was kept spotless by Juana *food was excellent - usual stuff available every night for fussy eaters such as chips, pasta, cheese, fruit and vegetarian stuff. Then each night there was a theme, the fish was excellent, as was the sushi, the beef, veal, pork all excellent, the list goes on. Breakfast had a great choice of cereals, pancakes, cooked breakfast. I like my boiled eggs for breakfast, no shortage of those. Can't fault the food at all. The a la Carte sirloin was the largest sirloin I've had and was cooked perfect both times. *pools are all great, our kids loved the splash Park, then moved onto the wet bubble, then eventually the big pool as they called it. *no rush for sun loungers, there is hundreds! *kids club was great, I wasn't impressed initially but the kids loved it so who am I to judge! The staff work tirelessly for the kids day and night. Cons *The sun was too hot
Stayed for one week at the beginning of June. Four adults and one child, total cost of holiday was a whopping £5700. Me and my wife had a hot tub room which was nice. The others had paid for a swim up room and were very disappointed to be given another category of room. They were eventually moved to a swim up room, however this smelt really musty and the bathroom was set out for the disabled. The shrubbery dividing the decking was so sparse it felt like the folks next door were on the same deck. After complaining about the smell, and we weren't the only ones who noticed it, it was back to the original room with the promise of being moved the following day. Really not the start you want when you've only got a week. The food was dreadful, same stuff every day and always cold. On the morning of our departure we had a taxi booked for 8am and made sure we were at the dining room for 7am, in fact we were first in, and the food was still cold. After the first three days we started going into town to eat, it was the only way we were going to get a good hot meal. Swimming pools don't open until 10am and shut at 6pm, ridiculous. Tried to book a la carte for Saturday evening but was told it was fully booked, fair enough, so we booked for Sunday. Got there Sunday evening, only to be told by the rudest waiter in Europe that we weren't on the list and weren't coming in. Very embarrassing in front of other guests. On checking their paperwork it showed that the receptionist had made a mistake and booked us in for the Saturday. At least the receptionist had the good grace to own up to his mistake. Cocktails are horrible and far too sweet, and if you don't ask for the branded spirits you get the cheapest thing on the shelf. Being all inclusive plus, you're meant to get the good stuff automatically. The beer is rank as well and necessitated several trips to the local shop for something decent. Absolutely nothing for kids to do if it rains. In one of the pools there is a large rubber dome which is good fun for the kids if they can actually get past all the silly adult blokes that seem to think it's funny to bounce so hard that kids end up getting thrown off. Why not keep adults off. Evening entertainment is a joke consisting of a person wearing a large sponge dog's head doing the same thing every night, followed by very average bunch of assorted singers. Basing these comments on stays in hotels in Europe, Asia, USA, Africa, Caribbean. All in all, a very expensive, poor hotel that fails to deliver on numerous fronts.
Just returned from 7 days at the hotel. Went with two kids aged 3 and 8 months. Kids pirate pool was definitely a hit. The eldest wasn't old enough for the kids club but there seemed plenty to do and evening entertainment also. Food was excellent and the whole hotel was very clean. Staff were great with the kids also. Beach about a 15-20 minute walk away. Would recommend.
I've just come back from a weeks stay and if I could I'd go back tomorrow! With it been my little boys first holiday me and my parents did a lot of searching for the right holiday in the right hotel and honestly think we found it. The hotel itself is spotless and there always seems to be a maid or a cleaner around somewhere. When we booked the holiday we did request a lower floor but we was given an apartment on the 3rd floor which was not a problem infact it was better. The room was nice and spacious and was cleaned 5 days over the week we was there and clean towels provided every day. Even the roof terrace and jacuzzi got a daily clean! Every little detail was thought through even down to the little sewing kit and shoe polish left in the room for us and the hand sanitizer which was doted around the resort. The food was excellent aswell. There's a wide variety so there is something for every one even a fussy 2 year old. The meats are all cooked on an open grill and the option was changed every day. There is Also an al fresco restaurant which is used as the snack bar through the day. If you do want to eat there on an evening you do have to book at reception but it made a nice change to have a chilled out meal. The hotel does have so much to offer for every one and the entertainment is something different every night. All of the staff was very friendly and nothing was ever too much for them. There really is nothing I can fault the hotel on. We had an amazing holiday and made some fantastic memories and I can't wait to come back next year!!
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Zafiro and wish we were still there! We travelled as a family of 4 with two children aged 10 and 5. We booked a Select room and were in block 4. The room over looked the swim up rooms on the middle floor and the main pools. The room didn't include the PS3/DVD player as advertised these have to be requested (not that we missed them anyway) but we had bath robes and slipper and a drinks pack (tea/coffee/soft drinks) The room was plenty big enough and the beds very comfortable! The rooms were spotless and cleaned 5 days a week, with plenty of fresh towels. The pool areas here are fantastic, we sat round all of them. The kids favourite was the pool with the inflatable bubble. The splash park is great for little ones to. The pools are all quite warm, especially the one with the larger bed sun loungers-this was the quietest pool also. You can hire the pool towels free of charge but are charged 10euros per towel if you don't hand them all back. The food was great, what you'd expect from an all inclusive. We did struggle sometimes to put an actual meal together some evenings but other than that no complaints. There is a main restaurant and a bar pool which has waiter service both at lunch and dinner. Plenty of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from on the all inclusive option to. My children didn't use the Kids Club so can't comment on those but there was always plenty going on for the children. The children's disco was very popular of an evening. The main town is a 10-15 min stroll away and has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Including a doctors and a pharmacy. Over all we definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to go back again!
