My granddaughter and myself have just returned from a week at Viva Sunrise. It's an amazing place for children but their enjoyment is spoilt by the temperature of the pool. Surely the pool could be heated by a few degrees so it can be used. The kids want to spend all their time in the water but this was not possible. This is my only complaint - everything else was perfect. Special thanks to the children's entertainers - they were really great at keeping the kids happy during the day and evenings. If the pool were to be heated then I would definitely return, but otherwise not.

Just returned from a week away staying at Viva Sunrise, Alcudia. It is a fantastic hotel. It has brilliant entertainment on every evening. The hotel is clean, spacious, the reception staff are so, so helpful and kind, the cleaners are so welcoming always saying “hola” as you walk past. The pool area is incredible. I have only one fault hence the 4 star rating instead of 5 and that’s the pool. Unfortunately, the pool isn’t heated which is a shame. I would recommend the hotel to install a heating system in the pool as without it, it’s...FRREEEEEEZZZZING COLD. Other than that, fantastic hotel and highly recommend it.

This is a pretty standard family type hotel. The rooms are a decent size but in need of some upgrade and the standard of cleaning was fairly low (dust under the bed etc). We stayed in a Royal Terrace Suite. The balcony was a great size and gets sun all day. The hot tub was turned down low when we arrived and it took nearly 24 hours till it was warm enough - not great when we were only staying 5 nights. All the pools (including the children's pool) were absolutely freezing. Our daughter loved the play area. We went self catering but paid to have breakfast and dinner in the hotel once. Both were decent. I am not sure if the buffet changes every night but we found plenty to enjoy although I am not sure if i would have wanted to eat there every night. We paid for lunch at the bar a couple of times and the food was lovely. There is also a great shop on site where you can get everything you might need on holiday. Evening entertainment was fine, our daughter enjoyed the pirate disco. This was held inside during our stay which was fine apart from you had to get there before 8 to have any chance at all of getting a seat which meant either rushing through dinner or missing out. It was right underneath our hotel room too so we could hear every word of every song if we didn't go. Location of the hotel is ok. Many of the nearby restaurants seemed to be shut as it was so early in the season. We took a taxi to the Marina most nights for dinner. The old town is beautiful and a short taxi ride away. This is a decent hotel and if you have already booked then you will most likely have a good holiday . There are better hotels out there though and I doubt I would choose to stay here again.

Just back after a week's stay and am delighted to be home. Basic holiday negatives such as the area being soulless, with run down tacky shops, closed down bars, rubbish floating in the decorative water feature that runs through the streets and staff who looked like they prefer to be anywhere else, would all be enough. For us as a family, the failure to provide allergen information at meal times destroyed the holiday and was dangerous for our son who is severely allergic to nuts. It is also in contravention of EU Law. The little sign on the restaurant door saying if you have any allergies, tell the staff, does not override this law. I did ask for help on the first evening and one waiter and chef gave me a verbal run down of what was in the food but it was not convincing and I should have had it in written form and on display. If you want a great example of how to do this properly, I suggest you take a look at TUI Magic Life if Fuerteventura. The upside is the beach, it is lovely, as are many other places inland and closer to Pollensa. First time here and won't be back.

We all had a great time at Viva, I have given it 3 stars as there were a few things that need improvement. The staff are amazing and worked hard, although one member of the bar staff was rude and ignorant on a couple of occasions. The pool needs to be heated as far too cold. We had a one bedroom apartment for two adults and two teenagers, the beds are comfortable but the sofa bed is not especially for older children. The shower is amazing, but the rooms need updating and new sofa beds putting in. We booked all inclusive which was a good choice as both food and drink has a great variety. Thanks Viva for a fab holiday!

Very good hotel, only negative is the pool is freezing/ ice cold. Unfortunately I would not recommend Alcudia, it wasnt what we were expecting, the beach is lovely and the hotel is central to everything. There are supermarkets close by and the restaurant on the corner does take away pizza for 7 euros and it was lovely. I found Alcudia to be run down, the old town is lovely and the market is amazing, We visited Purto Pollensa and that was really nice would definately go there again.

We have just stayed at Viva Sunrise for 7 nights. 3 nights in premium studio apartments & 4 nights in the royal terrace rooms. The first 3 nights in the studio apartments - •Myself & my partner were on level 5 facing the shops/street. Room was clean, massive bathroom, kingsize bed, but the fridge didn’t work & there was a little street noise in the morning. •My mum & husband were also in a studio apartment but pool facing. Their room was also clean, fridge in working order, but had the benefit of having a balcony facing the sunshine & pool which made you feel much more part of the hotel & you could enjoy the atmosphere. *Definitely recommend asking for poolside whilst booking. On arrival I asked if there was any Royal Terraces left, I felt a bit belittled for asking, as the man behind the desk (who wasn’t even dealing with us) said “mummy & daddy paid for the holiday eh?” I am not quite sure why he felt the need to pipe up, I’m nearly 30 years old & I was paying with my own money for both of us to get upgraded, not that it was any of his business. I’m not so sure he would have said that to a 30 year old male? However, the man I was dealing with said that he could upgrade us for the last 4 nights & I jumped at the chance. He was really helpful. •Royal terrace was completely worth the money. Same size room as the apartment, but loved having that much outside space & the jacuzzi was luxurious. Also it was on the first floor. Bonus. *It improved our holiday so much, I highly recommend requesting to upgrade (even if you have to tolerate some unnecessary judgement at the desk). •The food was incredible. The staff in the restaurant are amazing. They all work so hard. There is something for everyone & it’s all delicious. Breakfast gets a special mention - literally perfect. •Evening entertainment was okay, although not applicable to us, the children seemed to be having the time of their lives! *! Viva sunrise - please heat your pool! (Couldn’t use it as it made you feel ill to be that cold) !* •Close to the beach & shops. Overall I enjoyed our holiday, it was very relaxing. *It would be ideal for a family with youngsters. Thank you for reading.

We are here at the moment and the air con in rooms is hot air until it is switched on for main season, the rooms are hot and stuffy and there is no air con ! We have a baby and the room has reached 26 degrees inside so wouldn’t recommend stopping as the rooms are not suitable

We stayed here at Easter with some friends. The apartments/rooms are really nice with plenty of space for a family of 4 in the small ones. Some of the rooms overlook the pool and get sun on the balcony all day. Unfortunately ours was on the other side and overlooked the road and was north facing so got no sun. The pool was fun for the kids but was pretty cold at Easter. I’m sure once the days get hotter this will be nice though. It was a nice easy 5 min walk to the beach from the hotel and there are a bunch of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel.

I had nightmare my first day as lost phone or was stolen on first day they were soooo helpful its unreal they were welcoming daylie the hotel its self lovely and we had a lovely holiday dispite bad start would defo vome hear again great for kids club fab and staff lovely thank u
