Our 3rd trip to this hotel and sadly it will be the last. Hotel is good, food, rooms and majority off the staff are excellent. Entertainment is always on form for children as well as adults. All inclusive package was very good and the supermarket access from reception is fantastic. This area of Alcudia used to be very exciting, bustling infact, now it's quiet with lots of shops and restaurants gone, very sad to see.
This was a last minute booking and we were very pleased. We had a self catering apartment although bed and breakfast and it had all the things you could want. The hotel was well kept and the pool areas clean and tidy, albeit small for the size of the hotel. Breakfast at the restaurant was great everything you could imagine.
This is low-medium alternative accomodation for those travelling with a low budget. It is pretty worn out but it will not ruin your holiday. It is very well located there are plenty of places to eat in the nearby and the beach is 3-4 minutes away. It is a very busy area in the high season, with many families. Most tourists I have met were from UK.
Have to say that we have been to this hotel for many years now and always find staff friendly, polite and helpful. If have any problems then do talk to someone (do not start getting uptight, be polite and friendly as well remember they want to help you if they can but you have to explain the problem and sometimes language can get in the way) do not come home and complain later as staff will do everything they can to help. As we were all inclusive, we were pleased with the availability (especially as was near end of season). If want to save money getting to and from the hotel then from Palma Airport catch the A32 to Hotel Astoria Playa which is just around the corner (about 5mins walk) and cost 9 Euro's each way per person and takes approx. 1 hour 20mins I hope to be back again next year and seeing everyone again as you all do a fantastic job (would take me a long time to write all your names down so please take it that I do mean everyone)
Stayed here last week in October. Admittedly the rooms are a bit dated but I have to say they were extremely clean. Well done to the maids! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Plenty of sun beds but to be fair it was toward the end of the season. Great pool area with three pools to choose from. We stayed in room 522 and had a sea view, bit distant, but a sea view nonetheless. Great location, 5 mins walk to the sea and shops, bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep. Would recommend Aqua (opposite hotel) and Bistro Bel (on corner near entrance to beach) to eat. We went self catering so didn't eat at the hotel. We requested late check out on our room which they normally charge for but as the hotel was closing for the end of the season they waivered the 30 euros fee which we thought was a lovely gesture. We weren't being picked up till 6pm but they told us there was no rush for us to go. Great location, great staff and good value for money!!
Very good value hotel in an excellent location. Close to all amenities and ideal for walking to points of interest eg Alcudia old town / Marina etc. Good sized apartment with enough facilities to be self catering if needs be. Nice pool area with bar attached. Only complaint would be the noise from the kids play area (we were above it) which should be closed at say 8.00pm latest.
Lovely hotel and pool area lovely surrounding areas 'beach is beautiful 3-5 minute walk from hotel.food not to bad not a great selection would definitely recommend this hotel service is also very good
Just returned from a week long break staying at the Sol Alcudia center hotel. We used the hotel as a base for a cycling break in Mallorca, we stayed in the hotel all inclusive, this included lots of different drinks including some cocktails, the restaurant offered a good range of foods for all tastes. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, there wasn't a problem with bringing cycles into the hotel unlike other hotels I've used before. Although the hotel was due to close for winter the following week after our stay, there was still entertainment every evening for children and adults. The hotels rating is 3 star, which is fair, the hotel may lack the 4 or 5 star flair, but is clean and friendly and great stay for anyone looking for a great value hotel.
The hotel is quite a large family hotel, close to the beach and shops. We visited in October, so a lot of shops were closing for the end of the season, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was clean, rooms OK although the bed was a bit uncomfortable, and food was OK, however, somewhat repetitive at times. There were a lot of kids staying there, who were quite unruly, don't know where the parents were, so we had to keep hold of our drinks so that while they were running around, they didn't bang into our table and knock them over. On the morning of our check out, before 7 am, we asked if there was anywhere we could get a coffee, to which the reception staff said, sorry, no, the restaurant is closed. As we were all inclusive, I wasn't happy about this.
We stayed here in August, upon arrival it appeared to be a nice hotel, however everything thereafter was a disappointment. The room was not only tired and aged, it was also dirty with mould around the kitchen and dirt on the floor, the shower was also filthy. It was unsafe as had cracks in the floor tiles, doors in the kitchen hanging off with screws and we were given a cot with metal bars which were broken. We were later offered another room which was just as dirty and unkempt. The outdoor bar area is undercover, so if people were smoking it created a smog of smoke, which considering this is advertised as a family hotel was not appropriate or safe for children. The restaurant on the occasion we ate there smelt of dirty mop water, the outdoor area was between concrete walls, looked like it had been added on, not picturesque at all and the food was cold and bland. I would not recommend this hotel, it needs to review its 3 star standard.
