This hotel has many positive points but it is definately not 5* and beware hidden extras if you are all inclusive. Rooms are not what you would expect for this rating. A little tired and shabby but clean and comfortable. Pool area is good and there is extensive lunch menu. Ice cream chargeable if you are wanting branded ones rather than a scoop of local stuff. Many branded alcoholic drinks also have a small additional fee. Tennis courts and paddle courts in poor state of repair and the hotel only has one pair of racquets to loan. Breakfast buffet is excellent and evening meals of high standard but portions are very small for some appetites. Staff friendly and helpful. Very quiet evenings but this was fine for us as this is what we wanted. Car needed to explore the area. With just a little push this place could be so much better.
We booked this hotel as a very last minute holiday through Thomas Cook. Both the website and the advisor in the Travel Agents explained that the hotel was quiet, rural and perfect for chilling and full relaxation. It offers exactly that, so if you want late night entertainment, lively bar, loud music around the pool and accessibility to bars/ restaurants then this place isn't for you. We stayed in a suite which was over three floors , very clean, comfortable bed, sheets changed every day clean towels delivered in the morning. Bathroom shower etc new and very tastefully done. We went All Inclusive. If you want to eat your body weight in food each day or if you prefer a choice of restaurants again this hotel is not for you. If however you are happy with one restaurant and you want to enjoy fine a la carte food it is. The choice of bar food is extensive, well cooked prepared and presented and quite big in proportion. The evening dinner through its very name is kept to a smaller choice and more modest in proportion but that's so the chef can deliver exceptionally good food which he/she did every time. We didn't have a choice of wines, what was severed was a young wine but decent. Most sprits were named brands, choice of Gins - Two nights were buffet which I personally can't stand but it was ok. The evening entertainment was modest - the wine, gin and cocktail night was half hearted but the music on the other nights was very good and enjoyable. The pool area is pleasant, although a little tired in parts. The beds are comfortable and plenty of them. Only one thing I would say is not many umbrellas and hotel could do with some more. The pool isn't huge but it never felt busy, other than on Sunday when I assume local families maybe staff members used the facilities so lots of families and small children so not quiet as relaxing but that was only one day. The staff are incredible - very friendly speak good English and German and they work so hard. Breakfast and dinner are well staffed but the pool bar and restaurant bar was quiet often only supervised by one individual so the drinks service and pool food was a little slower. This for us wasn't a problem as we were happy to wait and chill. The wifi is poor but on holiday this isn't an issue for us we read books play cards chat all those things you used to do before we relied so much on the internet!! We hired a car which if you want to get out is a necessity. Head north for some lovely beaches and coves. I got bitten during the night a lot!! Would have been nice for the hotel to supply room repellent but they don't so try and keep door closed in the evening and don't forget to pack your spray!! In summary this is a small hotel. Thomas Cook rate it as four plus, its that, not five. Excellent value for money perfect for total relaxation we were quite impressed and would like to thank the hotel for a lovely weeks break.
Just returned from a 10 day all inclusive stay at this little piece of paradise. Was it five star probably not, was it suitable for my wife small baby and I absolutely. The food was great especially the freshly made garlic bread in the pool bar for lunch. The restaurant in the evening was excellently staffed and nothing was too much trouble and plenty of variation so as not to be too mundane. The main bar... well the barman deserves a medal he was absolutely fantastic. Would a change a few things of course but i am sure that would be the case where ever in the world anyone goes. However for good food, drink and hospitality it was well worth the money.
Excellent stay in the Sentido Pula Suites Golf&Spa Resort. We could get an upgrade when we checked in and had a nice view from our room to the ocean. Room, bath, etc. was very clean and the service was excellent. Different opportunities to have dinner in the Hotel but also in the near neighborhood close to the beach. The Hotel crew is more than helpful and always very friendly from sunrise until late at night. After 10days we summarized to get back to this place in future
Just what the doctor ordered total chill out , staff friendly and efficient nothing too much trouble, room cleaned daily to a high standard and bedding change twice in a week, food very good , a very relaxing holiday , if you wanted the nightlife it wasn't far away but then you could leave it behind and come back to your suite, going back in September with no hesitation.
We've been here many times previously and always had a great stay. This time, we stayed with the all inclusive option, the first time we had done this. Again, it was excellent value: great food at both the pool bar and restaurant, great wines, perfect. The staff are always great which is one of the main reasons we return. On our last evening we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant with another couple also staying at the hotel. We enjoyed prawn ceviche, fillet steak and crepe suzette. It was a really excellent meal so special thanks to the chef, Paco. Another great stay, huge thanks to all the wonderful staff, we hope to see you again soon.
My wife and I had a 3 day break here in July 2017 and found the hotel provided everything we needed - peace and quiet, gorgeous food, fabulous service and ambience. Superb buffet breakfast on the restaurant terrace, lovely long walks through the simple countryside along a disused railway track into Son Cervera (4 miles), sitting in the village square watching the world go by with a coffee, relaxing by the 3 pools with plenty of towels and sun beds and shade, eating lunch al fresco by the pool side and ending the day with cocktails on the bar terrace, followed by a fabulous meal on the terrace with coffee and brandy back on the bar terrace - life doesn't get much better! If you are looking for night life or activities etc, don't go here. Some minor issues (low water pressure in the shower, dark rooms to keep them cool) did not spoil our enjoyment. All the staff at every level were excellent. Not cheap, but very good value.
Lunch at this alleged 5* hotel is served at the pool bar. We had eaten there twice and was served by a charming waitress who could not have been more helpful. On our third visit, we were served by a man who I assume was some kind of supervisor as previously he had been on the till. On our third visit, we asked for 'large' beers with our meals as we had on previous visits. We were served small drinks instead. When we came to order some more drinks, I made the point that we wanted the larger glasses and suggested in my imperfect Spanish that we had 'jarras' as we had on previous visits. The waiter/manager told us they only did small 'cana' glasses and added very rudely: "This is a five star hotel, not a bar at the beach." He turned on his heel and stormed off to the bar before miraculously returning with the larger drinks he had just told us they didn't have, very sarcastically telling us: "This is the biggest glass we have." If you want to claim you are a 5* hotel, everything has to be 5* and that includes treating paying customers with at least a minimum of courtesy. I do not expect to be spoken to like I am a drunken 18 year old on a Magaluf booze cruise. I think this hotel has some serious training issues to resolve before it can lay claim to be 5*
So, the good points are the size of the room and the staff, although there are either not enough of them or they are badly organised. Getting drinks from the bar from the one barman was a bit of a challenge. The food in the pool bar is lovely, whereas the restaurant can be a bit hit and miss. Most nights you order from a menu (2 x fish, 2 x meat, 1 veggie). 2 help yourself buffet nights, one strangely was a Japanese night. The sun beds could do with cushions, and the pool area could do with a revamp, which apparently it has had recently, but I can only guess it was superficial as the kiddie pool leaks. The major annoyance we had was a tourism promotion lunch which unfortunately was on a day with a thunderstorm and torrential rain. Not a problem for the VIP guests as they were under the roofed section of the pool bar, the rest of the paying guests were huddled under umbrellas, having to fetch their own drinks from the bar. Added to that, if you weren't all inclusive, you were charged 25 euros each for this dubious privilege! As mentioned in other reviews the hotel is VERY quiet, with live music on two nights, and the rest of the time nothing. Although there is free wifi, it's a bit hit and miss. Although the hotel professes to be a spa and golf hotel, it keeps these facts to itself. No literature in the room regarding prices of either. In summary, not a hotel I would return to. The management do not care enough about their guests providing little entertainment in the evening, too few staff and a disregard for their guests welfare. A bit of a failure when promoting a hotel to tourism officials.
Booked a one week "All Inclusive" holiday at this hotel with Thomas Cook. Generally the hotel is OK however there are a couple of things to be aware of:- It is very, very quiet with limited entertainment at the hotel. Sunday is the quiet night i.e. no entertainment and a couple of other nights were "Gin Night" and "Cocktail Night". These sounded good however there was nothing on either night to reflect this, i.e. no gin or cocktails, except for the usual you could get from the bar. On arriving at the hotel we were informed of what was not available on the "All Inclusive" basis which included drinks from the mini bar in the room. Thought this to be strange however accepted it. What I wasn't prepared for when checking out was a 30 Euro bill for using the expresso coffee machine in my room. When I challenged it the guy on reception advised that it was on the mini bar price list in my room. There was no mini bar price list in my room. Staff were friendly although could do with a few more waiters. Food was OK - there are 2 buffet nights per week. Pool was on the small side - wouldn't like to go when it is busy. Other 5 star hotels we've stayed in would have offered cold face towels and cold fruit around lunchtime. Nothing like this here. Would have been nice as on one day the temperature was 35 degrees. If you require wi-fi it is free however very temperamental. Signal drops often. The hotel could do a lot more with the simple things e.g. give you the reception phone number, wi-fi code, etc This hotel is no more than a 3 star.
