Really nice hotel set in peaceful countryside 3km south of the town of Porreres. The hotel is set it large grounds with a large outdoor pool, poolside restaurant and separate spa building. The breakfast was well presented with a large choice available to suit all tastes. We stayed in a standard room which was spacious and comfortable. On a slightly negative note the evening meal standard was mixed. Barbeque on Sunday evening was really nice but a la carte on Monday was not the standard I would expect from a hotel of this quality with unpleasant octopus starter and an over-cooked steak main course. I would still recommend this hotel as an excellent choice for a break away from the crowds at the coastal resorts.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere (about 3km away from the next town) and looks very nice from the outside. The rooms are ok, but could have a bit more love for the detail. We had a suite, which was very spacious. The breakfast is very good with a daily changing selection. Dinner (we were there once) is also very good. The hotel seems to be very popular with families with small kids (despite there are no special facilities for them), thus it was not as quiet as we expected.
in the middle of nowhere - palmtrees at the entrance - mallorca style agricultura finca/hotel. Exzellent service, nice breakfast & 3 course dinner - good wine selection for good price. A herbal course incl. a selfmade liqör. The pool is wonderful - the boat trip we will do next day will be a suprice ... ;-)
Very relaxed beautiful environment. The staffs are truely fantastic and were beyond our expectations. We stayed in the suite and superior room. Both are beautifully decorated. The Food is amazing, fresh and cooked to a high quality, and very reasonable priced as they offer a set menu of 3 course evening meal for hotel guests at approx £22 . You need to rent a car though but it's worth the drive. It's about 20-30 minutes from Es trenc , Cala pi and S'Amador beach. If you wanted the relaxing holiday this is the place for you. The hotel also offer various activities i.e. yoga, wine tasting, bike ride.
My wife and I have just returned from staying at this fantastic rural retreat for 4 nights. Although just 3 km outside of Porreres you need a car to get around but nowhere is too far to travel. The hotel is hidden away in rural surroundings, they grow a lot of their own produce in the surrounding fields and have livestock and horses. We had a lovely suite with its own terrace overlooking the large pool and garden area. It was a great place to unwind and relax, so quiet and peaceful. All the staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. We ate at the restaurant on 3 nights as the food was excellent; a limited choice but changed daily and different themes. Also very good value for €22.50 per head for 3 courses. Would definitely return to this hotel, just one recommendation - a poolside bar area and comfy rattan seating would be nice!
My friend and I came late, people had gone to bed, everything was beautiful and quiet - like a dream come true, when the purpose of the 4 days vacation was to relax, stress down and just "being"! The only noises were the cikades and goat bells :-) We had thought about taking trips, but as the place was so tranquil and actually just perfect, we only went a couple of times to eat in Porreres and a short trip to the beach - just to feel that we had done something! Before I went home, I was already checking booking facts with the reception, as I have to repeat the success in September/October, when my job has peaked and I need some real vacation. BTW - I had both a massage and a REIKI with Mirellie and it was on my top 3 ever. She's very very competent :-) See you, Sa Bassa Rotja...
My partner and I were looking for a quiet getaway for a few days. We came across Sa Bassa Rotja and it looked like it ticked all the boxes. It was our first time to Majorca and I can honestly say that we will be coming again and certainly to Sa Bassa Rotja! The hotel is everything you want for a quiet; relaxing getaway. The main building is an amazing and an authentic place, the communal area is beautiful. In addition, our room was incredible! Big, tidy, comfortable and most importantly, great air conditioning! The pool area is exceptional! Stunning surroundings, relaxing and very spacious. It never felt overly busy and the pool is a fantastic size. The restaurant has an amazing array of authentic and very delicious food! Great wine and other drinks and very friendly and helpful staff. The thing with Sa Bassa Rotja is how welcoming and comfortable you are made to feel. The staff are the best and most friendly staff I have ever come across. We have had such an amazing time and I can't wait to come back again! If you are coming to Majorca, you must stay here! A car is good idea (unless you are a very keen cyclist). Thank you Sa Bassa Rotja!
Best bits first, lovely property, well maintained, lovely lovely staff, great pool area. The pool side rooms are the nicest. If you're on a package you will probably get a room in the block past the spa, of these room 201 is the best, and there is a small shaded area you can use cos these rooms don't have a terrace. Spa is great and not overly expensive, Mariela has magic hands, so spoil yourself! Good gym area. Breakfasts are brilliant, loads of choice and good quality. Evenings often have good live music. Very good wine list. Not so good bits, the hotel is 3 kilometres from nearest village Porreres. So if no transport this makes you a captive audience for the hotel restaurant. We like food! The menus read really well but we felt that the hotel was not spending the money it could have on the wonderful ingredients that are available. At 30 euros pp for dinner it was overpriced. The meat particularly was really disappointing. So we went into the village for dinner! Which is another review! But there are about 3 really good places to eat there and it is a great probably nearly real Majorcan village. We haven't been to Majorca for about 20 yrs and have to say found it a bit disappointing from a touring about point of view. So bottom line, hotel definitely worth a visit but be prepared to go out and about for food.
Sa Bassa Rotja is the perfect place to get away from it all for a few days. Situated about 40 minutes from Palma, you're away from the crowds. Walking, tennis, spa treatment, cycling, swimming, or just being horizontal, however you choose to chill, the staff are warm and welcoming, the food is good and the beer is ice cold.
We had 4 day a break in a pool side suite, Upon arrival we were greeted by Toni who was very pleasant and offered us a glass of Cava and then showed us around the grounds and then our suite. Our room was immaculate and nicely furnished. The only small thing we would say is that my wife found the hair dryer pretty useless which resulted in her having damp hair, and maybe the room could do with having a tad more lighting but these are really only very small things and overall it was lovely. The pool and spa complex was superb and clean, the communal areas and sunbeds etc were in very good order and all the staff we met were very professional, happy and carried out their duties exceptionally. The breakfast was nothing short of amazing with a huge selection including freshly cooked eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice along with fresh fruit, breads, pastries, yoghurt, cooked veggies, cereals and coffee. We had dinner on our first night and were slightly disappointed, the ambiance and setting was superb but we felt the food was a little disappointing for 30 euros a head, the first and main course was ok but having seen the menu beforehand with the dessert described as dessert of the day we were hoping for something a bit better than what we were served which was pretty much a bowl of whipped cream and chopped fruit which was a real let down to the meal so much so that we dined elsewhere on the other days. To be honest we feel if they could sort the dinner menu out better and iron out a couple of small things in the room we would say the place would be a perfect 10/10 and we would give it a 9/10 now and would certainly not hesitate in returning to this wonderful hotel again.
