Spent two nights and had a wonderful stay. Staff so friendly , food excellent value. Quite an experience, highly recommended. The journey to the top of San Salvador is an exhilarating drive with breath taking views over the valley below. The sunstets were memorable.
It's such an unusual place .......fabulous views, clean but basic rooms ....lovely walks down the mountain side ......downside ...the staff....need to do something about their welcome ....not good ...and to be honest just not very friendly! Such a shame
This is a simple clean hotel, great for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Rooms clean if simply decorated. The views are stunning from the rooms. Food, breakfast was great but the cafe could do with one or two more vegetarian options. I went in July last year after losing a Close family member and it was just what I needed, I am returning in July this year and I can't wait!
If you wish to stay at the Petit Hotel Hostatgeria Sant Salvador, be prepared to drive 4.8 km uphill on a tiny road with hairpin bends. Once you arrive at the top of the small mountain, you have an excellent 360 deg. view. When we arrived mid-afternoon, the reception was closed and we were met with staff at the cafeteria (in lieu of receptionist) who did not speak anything but Spanish. Eventually we managed to check in. The room was ok - average size, fair bed, small bathroom. NO wifi (although they claim so)! The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the food is in no way good (and overpriced). The hotel is different from your average hotel - but our recommendation would be to stay one night - and one night only.
The receptionist was not aware of the fact we changed our reservation. Result was an unclear bill (which, in the end, was correct), luckily we had the print of an earlier conversation with the hotel. Room was ok, very basic but clean. We killed some mosquitoes. Very nice view and surroundings. We had dinner at the hotel at €15 per person (all you can eat, mineral water and wines included), rather expensive but this is the normal price in Mallorca. Good food. Breakfast was simple but ok. Rooms not really soundproof, our neighbour snored ... Bad wifi signal (go on the hallway, or stay close to the door of your room).
A piece of heaven, here on earth, stayed for 2 nights in room 101, the room was clean and comfortable and really stylish. The view from the room alone was worth every minute of the long bendy drive up the mountain. So quiet and peaceful despite the constant stream of visitors who drive, cycle and walk up every day, once the crowds have gone and the sun gone down, it is so quiet. I absolutely loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and dinner, simple but tasty with a bottle of wine and water included. Free wi-fi in the public areas which was good.
I stayed here on business and convenience is defintiely not the strong suit of this wonderful place as it sits on top of a 500 m high rock in the middle of a flat region, and making your way up and down the only winding road is not what is typically referred to as easy access. Wi-fi wasn't available at the time I stayed there. And this is also what sets it apart from most other places. You are far from the touristy hustle and bustle of the island and the rooms in the old monastery are very basic but beautiful. The brakfast buffet had everything you need plus some more, but the thing that beats anything else is the breathtaking view. You just don't get that in a lot of affordable places and it surely isn't what you tend to come across on most business trips.
Very Clean comfortable room with stunning views of sea & greenery. No TV or coffee making facilities. View & surrounding greenery. Sea. Terraine amazing. Worth a visit. Only real prob was getting up very steep hill. Very long walk uphill. 2-4 hrs depending on sun. Luggage. Fitness. 1 hr walk down tho. Once up there not much to do. Very quiet & peaceful but a bit isolated. One cafe/restaurant/bar. Breakfast 8 Euro & worth it considering a coffee in the cafe was 2 euro. Glass of red 2.90 euro. Buffet dinner with 2 wines & water good value for 15 euro. Lasagne in cafe highly recommended. Chapel beautiful. Seen a wedding very spectacular. Yes this place is nice if u want peace & quiet or To be alone. Read. Study or meditate. Would be better to hire a car tho & visit surrounding areas & beaches in particular Cala D'or where I stayed overnight rather than walk up the hill. Felantix a bit desolate really. I only paid 190 euro for a week so can't really complain. Overall worth a visit for a night or two if you don't hire a car or like solitude & enjoy walking up steep cliff/hill. Challenge if you do like walking. Amazing scenery & absolute peace.
We booked a 2BR apartment for a two-nights-stay. Ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. The apartment is spacious and well appointed with magnificent views and a small terrace. Amazing value. Peace and quiet. We had a full moon night which was just incredible. Friendly and helpful staff. A pity that the restaurant terrace overlooks the parking.
This hotel is in a stunning location, and is worth the visit for that reason. Rooms are bright and clean, with wonderful views. The restaurant and bar lacks ambience, it's a bit stark but the staff are friendly and helpful. If you enjoy walking then the walk to and back from the nearby castle, around 4 hours is brilliant.
