We stayed at Ona Garden Lago Oct/Nov 2017. The apartment (2 bed) was very spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the bedrooms a good size. However, the apartment was not completely clean to an acceptable standard to start with. Apparently the hotel was having issues with their cleaning company, which we were told when the cleaners didn't turn up on our scheduled cleaning day. There were also lots of mosquitos and we were all bitten several times. On chatting about this to the manager, we were told that its unfortunate as the mosquitos are attracted here due to the lake. We also had an awful sewage smell one night which lasted all night. When reported maintenance didn't arrive when promised. It was all topped off when we were charged much higher than expected price for a tupperware that I accidently broke, and honestly admitted to and declared to the reception staff. we also had some delinquents partying all night on one occasion with no consequences, even though we complained. We won't be stayed at this place again, as I feel lots of improvements do need to be made
1) The pool is shut, when we booked it, the pool didn’t say it was closed 2) Apartment floor is dirty in room 116 3) Shower in the small bathroom is small and dirty on the metal outside but 4) Sheets are not clean 5) Too much money for WiFi 6) Pool table are not working 7) The radio is not working by the TV 8) Fridge door bottom self is broken I want a email (email@example.com) about this
Was a Diamond Hotel and have visited this hotel many times, with no complaints. Ona have taken over and sadly standards have dropped . No advance warning that the pool would closed. Restaurant has not atmosphere No advance warning that they had numerous rooms sold out to young party goes for Halloween and one single female receptionist on duty- Totally out of order. No welcome pack anymore but paying over two and half times more. Guess what? We will not be returning
This was our second visit. Each time has been an absolute pleasure. We arrived early, but they made a special effort to make sure our room was ready for us. Very welcoming and friendly staff on reception. Stylish looking hotel, front and back. The area behind the hotel isn't the most attractive part of town, as it backs onto some wasteland and a council refuse depot. That being said, the focus is on the rear, with a lovely pool area and a view of the lagoon. Wonderful! We've stayed on the top floor on both occasions. Subsequently we've been spoilt by fantastic views across the water and town. We spent a great deal of time watching the world go by and enjoying the sights. Our apartment was over 2 levels. Unusually, the bedrooms were downstairs. On the upper level, there's a kitchen with good facilities, a look, then a large lounge/diner with tv, radio, tables and seating. Best of all, a balcony to take advantage of the views and a spiral staircase up the sun terrace on the roof. 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs with another balcony. Great quality apartment. Spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone and hope to return again.....soon!
It was a really nice apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again . The restaurant on site was reasonably priced again the staff were very pleasant. The food was good but we did not enjoy the traditional Mallorca evening
Diamond resorts used to own this hotel and sadly it was sold off and you can tell. Location is good, we had top floor which had a roof terrace which gets the sun all day. You get a good view over the lake where you can see the wakeboard park. Pool is ok, a tad cold. The water fountain and waterfall was not working. Restaurant is underrated it does not look anything special but the food is really good and the waiter is nice. There is not much going on by way of entertainment at the hotel. 20 minute walk to the beech and about 40 minute walk to the port or 5 euros for a taxi. The hotel comes across that it is struggling with finances, cheap shower gel used, bath soap not replaced, not all towels were changed on towel day and the cleaners cut corners and unfriendly. We did not like Mallorca very much and the hotel was average so we will not be back. Cala Galdana, Menorca is by far the better island in the baleriacs.
This resort was purchased by Ona Group last September from Diamond Resorts. We are Diamond members and must have been among the last to have booked before the resort was sold. We had not been before, so didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say that it is not up to Diamond standards. It may not have been before it was sold? Although we stayed in a 2 bed apartment, which was a good size and was generally clean on arrival, housekeeping left a lot to be desired. The bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned during our 2 week stay. Toilet rolls were not replenished. Bins were not emptied in accordance with their schedule. We had to contact reception to ask them to do it. Reception staff were always very helpful and pool etc was very pleasant if not somewhat cold. Area surrounding pool was sadly worn and where grass used to be became muddy when it rained. We benefitted from having a car as the resort is quite a way out of the main strip. We did manange to have a relaxing holiday, but not sure would visit again.
Everything about these apartments was very good. Very clean, spacious, friendly and well run. Food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Pool area was clean and well organised with plenty of space for sun loungers. Gates to pool didnt open until 9.30am to stop midnight towel layers! Very good idea. The only criticism was the 2nd bedroom in our 2 bedroom apartment. It was very small, suitable probably for 2 kids but as we had 2 adults in the second room it was inadequate for their needs. What made it worse for them was that our bedroom was huge, ensuite and had doors to the balcony!! Depending which route you take, the beach is between 15 and 30 minute walk and the main area for bars and restaurants is about 10 minutes away. All in all a very nice aparthotel complex which i would return to.
Lovely place... 👌 Beautiful apartment.. 2 bathrooms one with shower one with bath and another loo downstairs. 2 TVs all English channels.. seperate washroom with washing machine ironing board/iron. 2 minute from supermarket.. great all rounder.
Hotel really nice in terms of apartments which were very big and well equipped. Ours had washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, iron, fridge freezer, toaster everything you could really want. Two flat screen TVs with a good choice of British TV channels including BBC 1, ITV, Ch 4 and Sky News which was an added bonus. Reception team couldn't be more helpful and always available but the main barman was a bit grumpy and short at times. Pool area nice just a bit quiet, could really do with a bit of background music and entertainment wasn't great and only every other night. Fairly close to the town and only a 10 minute walk to the beach which was beautiful. Town itself was a bit grotty and for that reason wouldn't go back. If you want a really nice comfortable hotel that is quiet the Garden Lago would be perfect. If you are a family I would definitely recommend the Lagomonte which is next door and had entertainment every night and was a much more vibrant hotel although I believe you can only stay there on an All Inclusive basis. Family with children aged 13,12 and 2.
