We returned here in may again for husband's birthday. This is still a quiet hotel and area which is just how we liked it. The new animation team are so much better than last year. They are friendly and funny and don't push you to join in if you don't wish to. The food is still ok. A good variety and the same staff are still there. We asked in an email if we could have the same room as last year. Unfortunately we couldn't but they offered us two options of rooms and the one we chose was near the squash courts. It was on the main complex, near the end and very quiet so a good alternative. I also requested a bottle of bubbly on my husband's birthday which was in our room later in the day after another stressful day at the pool so thank you. We also received a bottle of wine a short time after arriving in our room as a thank you for returning. I know that it is not the most expensive wine, but it is the thought that counts and it was lovely when chilled. We met some great people who we now keep in contact with on social media and hope to return again next year with hopefully most of these friends. Just worried that, as we understand, that the hotel is going to change hands and probably no all inclusive option available. This would be a real shame and put a lot of people off, probably including ourselves unless the prices go down for half board and drinks not too expensive, even though we don't drink loads. If the hotel does change hands, please keep the same and don't change too much. It would spoil it. Certainly don't change it to a modern 18-30 theme hotel. It is a special place, with special staff! Finally, my best wishes and thanks to Magdalena who is fantastic and sorts everything out without any fuss. Also thanks to Catherine who keeps the hotel running like clockwork. Hope to see you again next year x
Stayed here from 28 June-05 July, with my partner and our 2 kids, had an absolutely fabulous time, animation team were great and up for a good laugh, our youngest daughter went to the mini club and had a lovely time with Katerina, who always had a smile, food was excellent in my opinion, even the kids eat good and like most they can be fussy, meet some good friends and definitely be returning, in fact am trying to book for August again, big hi to everyone there and see you soon, thanks Chris,Jane,Thalia and Secorra
Stayed here 28/6 - 5/7 rooms very basic had studio over road not room by pool or gardens old fashioned fat tv high on wall bed too hard towels only changed every other day. Food ok drinks ok entertainment pretty much non existent no pool games no music by pool and nothing in evening what I was led to believe there would be. Apart from some heavy thunder storms weather still hot. Flight delay with easyjet ruined first day had to go all night without sleep to pick up hire car when office opened. Portocolom too quiet as was there for my 50th birthday and had to go to Cala D'or for some life. Would not stay in this area again prefer Cala Millor and Arenal for some life.
The best holiday! The best animation team! Lovely place, beautiful beach! the hotel is really good, very clean, very good food, it's our theerd year to come back here and definitely we will come back again! 🖒🖒🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🖒🖒🖒🖒🍻🍻🍻🍻😚😚😚😚
If your looking for a very quiet break then this is the place! There's a lovely relaxed feel at this hotel and even despite a few initial problems at the start of our stay we were very pleased with the remainder of our holiday. The staff are amazing!! In every department from the reception to bar/dining and entertainment the whole team were exceptional, particularly when my daughter became ill the help the help we received was brilliant. Food ok, lots of salad choice with lunch and dinner. Some days were better than others but there was always different meats and fish available as well as an endless flow of chips. Breakfast is by far the best and food is constantly being replenished. Room was spacious and clean, although air con is a problem here! Many rooms have broken air con and also no a/c in the bar/entertainment area so gets very hot in the evening! And also lots of mosquito's so bite and sting repellent is essential. Evening entertainment is short, starting from 9.30-11pm but if a quiet night is what your hoping for then this hotel won't disappoint! Swimming pool is very deep, but are plenty of sun loungers surrounding the pool area. Although umbrellas will be claimed very early in the morning. All in all a pleasant stay for our young family.
Stayed here all inclusive for 1 week, we had a studio room which was fine for us, 2 single beds, bathroom, kitchenette and balcony that overlooked the pool. The room was clean, and maids came in every other day to replace towels and clean. The only thing that was was annoying is you could hear everything that was going on in the next rooms as they where separated by a door, for the first few days all we heard was a girl and her father yelling at each other/screaming and crying. The area is lovely, the beach is amazing and so close to the hotel. The food was good at breakfast, lunch and dinner was ok but not great, after eating there on the first night we didnt really want to go back as the food isnt great, because of this we only ended up eating in the restaurant 3 times, however me and my partner do tend to eat high quality foods. Most meals out we ate at the Cafe Chill Out which overlooks the beach, out of all the restaurants we tried this is our favourite, the staff are amazing they really make you feel welcome and the food is fab too & the drinks so deffo try it out if your there! So throughout our stay we only used the drinks on the all inclusive option which where good, the entertainment staff where so friends and made sure everyone was involved, they are so good at their job! The bar staff where lovely too. Would recommend this hotel
Arrived very early in the morning reception staff very friendly....room in the hotel 316 perfect room over looking pool. Very clean all you needed apart from the air con sadly never worked correctly and also shut off between 6pm and 9pm 😓 Food was ok breakfast great and lunch and evening meal ok had choice and always found some thing we liked.... Hotel is lovely ideal for a short break as only a stone's throw from the beach which is a beautiful beach ...a few shops around and restaurants didn't eat in them as we were A/I but the cocktails were fab and beautiful to sit out by the sea at night and sip them . Hotel pool lush warm and great to swim in last thing after the beach all day . It's a must to go on The Star fish boat sails from the beach fab 2 hours sailing around and having a swim. Such a relaxing time away would be more than happy to come back . Only a few complaints 1. The air con not very powerful 2. Great that the hotel shuts down at 11pm but maybe an idea to take pool ques in as guest playing this until 3am one morning 😓 Hotel in a lovely setting and found reception staff to be really helpful and friendly Restaurant staff very busy kept the restaurant clean and tidy and always topping up the food and bar staff ok but rushed.... Happy to recommend to folk Xxx Mark and Caroline Dodds 23-27June 17
Just come back from 10 day all inclusive break here. Glorious sunshine every day, plenty of food choices x3 a day plus snacks/ice cream etc Pablo & Rocio on the bar soon got to know yr drink preferences, Ruben kept the restaurant running smoothly, all very helpful friendly staff but must single out Mr T & Mr G, the entertainment staff, they were so friendly and cheery and made a real effort to get folk involved, lovely lads :) shame the pool didnt hav a shallow end but a life guard in attendance all day. Cecilia itself was lovely, Porto Colom a bit on the quiet side but went to Cala D'Or for the day and that was busier/more shops etc. Also Felanitz market on Sunday which was good. Would only say the Starfish Glass bottom boat trip we took to Cala D'Or wasnt really worth €44, saw not one fish as the speed/wake of the boat prob scared them off which was a shame as water so clear. Prob better taking the bus if u visiting which is what we did for Felanitz :)
Returned to this venue again as it offers value for money, very friendly and helpful staff and a great beach within a very short walk. The all inclusive package is great and the buffet menu at mealtimes offers a very wide selection of choice which ought to cater for all tastes. I could describe the apartments as spacious and ideal for families on a budget and there is a spacious, clean swimming pool if one doesn't want to visit the the beach. The accommodation has recently had a makeover however, it could not be classed as luxurious, more comfortable but that is reflected in the price. Having visited before we know the area very well. Many guests criticise the resort as being too quiet and lacked bars and night life. That is to some extent true but a short walk can take you to the large natural marina which has many boutique Restaraunts and outdoor bars by the harbour and a somewhat vibrant atmosphere both day and night. Porto Colom generally though is quiet and well suited to families. If you want all night partying and bar life then visit Magaluf.
The rooms are slightly sparse and mattresses could do with replacing but the complex is small and friendly. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful but the pool lifeguards need to get a check of themselves no fun allowed was their moto to us, no inflatables no games no nothing!! They were not child friendly at all, although the animation stuff were fantastic with the kids and tried to encourage the lifeguards to chill out This was my first trip to Majorca and I will say it's stunning
