We arrived here at the end of March for a 5 day/4 night stay. The timings for our flight were quite early and we arrived at the hotel before check-in opened without alerting them. This caused us some worry but was no problem! The reception staff were extremely polite, greeted us like old friends and didn't make us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. We checked in without a problem and were given information regarding breakfast, dinner and WiFi, along with our room cards which clearly stated our room number. We were also surprised to be upgraded to a suite with a balcony that looked out onto the beach, having only booked a standard double room. Most, if not all, rooms have a balcony but many look out onto the outdoor pool. We were given directions to go up to our floor and someone would be waiting near our door to guide us. Luggage wasn't taken up for us but we were more than able to take it ourselves. The room was clean, spacious and airy. One of my few issues would be the bed! I expected a double bed but it was two singles pushed together which happened to slide slightly apart during intimate moments! There were also two single duvets instead of one double - while there was no duvet hogging from my partner, I would have preferred to have one double. It wasn't that big of a deal though, something I've come to expect within Europe. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The weather was a bit chilly and we found that the heating wouldn't warm the room up as much as we'd like, so that was a slight issue. Beds were made and room cleaned daily. The fitted wardrobe(s) parallel to the bathroom were massive! Walk in shower with water reaching the temperature I like, gowns and multiple towels given. There was a mini fridge in the room which kept our drinks cool. The hotel has multiple pools outside, including a professional swimming pool with four or five lanes. The only pool that was being used was the professional one as it was unfortunately too cold to take a dip in the others. Although we later found there was a small indoor thalassotherapy pool which was heated - we used this to unwind everyday after our long walks! The sauna and steam room are also very good and were used just as often. They offer massages but we didn't opt for those. Breakfast was good; a selection of fruits, cereals, pastries, eggs, juices etc. Dinner, however, was very disappointing! We decided to eat in one evening; a mediocre buffet for €20 per head (if I'm remembering correctly), not inclusive of drinks. We ate out every night after that. Aside from the few issues of personal taste, our stay at this hotel was great. Upon checking out, we had some issue with the coach meant to pick us up. The non-English speaking gentleman at reception helped us out tremendously despite there being a language barrier and called around to find out that our coach was a little late but on its way. We can't fault the service we received here by staff we had personal interactions with. Great location, a few minutes walk to the beach. If we're ever in Playa de Muro again, we would stay here.
Spacious suite, light and bright, with large balcony and impressive bathroom. Stayed for 5 nights in October and had a very relaxing experience. Reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the super swimming pools and the Spa. Restaurant offers a wide selection of well presented foods to suit all tastes. On main bus routes to Alcudia town and beautiful Puerto Pollensa.
Beautiful hotel in centrum, very clean, food was amazing, nice and good people. This hotel is very calm and really high standard!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤ 3 swimming pool wather was very clean amazing plants... like in paradise!!!
Gorgeous hotel. Beautiful serene decor. Food superb. Immaculate inside and out. Highlighs for people who like to do their laps was the 4 laned training pool (25 meters), and the free form pool large and gorgeous too + indoor and outdoor infinity pools. Only quibble, water EXTREMELY cold and I really wish the infinity pools were properly heated so one could relax properly. Beautiful beach just short stroll across from hotel. As others have commented, wish coffee was served at evening meal but am aware this not a Spanish tradition. Would I return to Las Gaviotas? Absolutely. Highly recommended.
Stayed here with my better half right at the end of the season and out of all the hotels over the world that I have stayed at this has been the best so far. Check in was so pleasant with the girl telling us everything we needed to know about the hotel and it’s facilities. We stayed in the suite rooms which was very spacious and although it was minimalistic it had everything you could need, only thing was was missing was sockets would be handy beside sofa in lounge area, the best was soft and extra pillows in the bedroom was always handy, the air con was really good and didn’t have a smell as I have seen on other reviews. The balcony was very big and looked straight onto the more adult swimming pool, didn’t visit the other pool due to time of year but there was a pool bar which I could imagine to be great during the summer months. The spa was amazing and although it would be good to be open from early risers it was still really good and the sauna with separate steam room came in handy. The food was great and there was a fantastic selection and the champagne was definitely a bonus for feeling a little more classy. If I was to return to the island it’s a no brainer, would definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the team for a fantastic time!
This hotel has many positive elements: - efficient and kind service team - 2 large and pleasant swimming pools - good buffet meals with a variety of choices - great location on Playa de Muro The very negative point is the building itself, with rooms which are barely acceptable for a 2* hotel: - fusty smell in the room, which becomes unbearable when air conditioning is on (we asked to change room to reduce this smell and did not use air conditioning) - small rooms, which appear pleasant and design on a website, but where every piece of furniture and equipment is clearly lowest possible cost - once during the week, presence of a roach in the room ! In short, we moderately appreciated our stay and do not recommend this hotel despite of its positive features.
Fantastic hotel with large variety of food for breakfast. Access to two different swimming pools, 100m walk to the beach. Staff very friendly. Bike rental available, and access to spa and massages Would definitely go back!
We have been going back to Las Gaviotas for years. Excellent value for money. Fabulous staff, good quality food and lovely rooms. Two great pools. Ideally situated, minutes from beach with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
We stayed here in late September and were lucky enough to have 7 days of sunshine and glorious weather. We were surprised however at how busy it was considering it was "out of season". The hotel itself is lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. The pools and wellness area are all pretty good, even if the pools are a bit chilly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The reason for the four stars is that we felt there could have been a kettle and cups in the room, and also having to pay 15 Euros to use the safe was also a bit disappointing. The beach is beautiful, however the area around it is so-so and the restaurants also a bit average. I would stay in the hotel again, were it not for the location.
On checking in we were told that there we're no double rooms left, so they were going to upgrade us to a suite! The suite was beautiful, with a fantastic balcony. We stayed in September so only a few children off pre school age. The adults pool area was amazingly quiet and a lovely place to spend the day, I would definitely stay here again n hope to soon! Xx
