Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel

If I could give a 4.5 out of 5 rating I probably would, but this just wasn't quite worthy of full marks. There are certainly many, many positives. The whole place is extremely clean, particularly the pool area. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range from pancakes to fresh fruit with pretty much everything in between. There are just some small details lacking which, considering this is at the more expensive end, let the hotel down. Our room, while spotless, was very small. As mentioned by almost everyone, the fee for using the safe is completely nonsensical and not in keeping with the image the hotel is going for. We also had to pay a deposit for towels - not a big deal but again not something in keeping with an upmarket hotel. The bar area was also pretty soulless. It was Ibiza chill out meets corporate function - not a great look. Overall though I would definitely recommend this hotel. It looked better, from the outside at least, than anywhere else nearby and there are bus stops right outside to get to Alcudia (recommended if you want something for dinner other than pizza or steak).

Very Nice place highly recommended. The beach are very close to the hotel. The food just perfect. The rooms and the hotel are very clean. Excellent for your holiday. The hotel have a small gym as well, maybe this one need a little upgrade. AAA+++

my score says it all , fantastic thanks los gaviotas had the perfect stay. So don't delay book today Playa de muro stunning beach plenty sun beds lots of restaurants bars to choose from .Alcudia walking distance if you enjoy walking port also close by , worth a visit very upmarket with trendy bars and restaurants and shopping .And fab boats in the marina also a good place to stay if you want a bit of class .

Very Nice people, clean room and very good food . Very good situated close to the beach We will go back next year it was so good The staff was very nice The only think we wanted to see bigger was the fitness room to small and not many things inside

We visited for 3 nights from 08 June 2017 and our only complaint was that the trip was too short! The reception staff (particularly Edel) were lovely, the hotel and the pools were spotless, the rooms were gorgeous (two of our party were upgraded into suites) and the buffet breakfast was amazing. It is just a short stroll to the beach and on the main bus route into Alcudia (or you can stroll along the water's edge)

Just perfect! Everything from the rooms, the food, drinks, staff to the pool & the cleaning. Best hotel i've ever visited, and I travel a lot!!:) also very close to the beach & alcudia town. Next time we'll try the spa. We will be back for sure!

We've just returned from another brilliant holiday at Las Gaviotas Suites. Amazing hotel, great facilities, great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. So peaceful! Thanks to all the team for a great trip (especially Eidel), and hope to see you again soon!

I have never written a post on TripAdvisor before but I felt really strongly that I needed to leave a positive review. This is by far the best hotel in playa de muro. It's the perfect size and there is always a beach bed available should you not wish to head down to the beach. If you are a beach goer, the best section of the playa de muro beach is by the pier approx 300m walk opposite the hotel. It is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in with the friendliest and most helpful staff...nothing was too much. The breakfast and evening buffets are fairly standard, and the food available for lunch at the hotel bar is delicious and not too expensive. We had a pool facing room and although it was on the small side, the balcony made up for outdoor living with two large armchairs and a table. Some tips on places to eat should you want to spend a couple of nights eating out ..boy restaurant is good and there is also a beach club restaurant that I would highly recommend. Alcudia old town is exquisite and is only a short bus ride (15 mins) away - bus stop opposite the hotel and €1.55 per person. Taxi's from the airport to the hotel are expensive. We rented a car for £45 plus paid around €9 in petrol. There is free parking everywhere. If you haven't been to playa de muro before, it's very much a place catered to young families and the shallow waters on the beach make it perfect for toddlers. This hotel will not disappoint you...it is simply stunning!

Start with the positive. The staff in the restaurant and especially the bar were absolutely brilliant. They made it a real joy to have a drink in the evening/afternoon. The hotel suites are very spacious. We enjoyed having a sofa bed to fold out in the evening and watch some TV/movies. Also, the different pools themselves were great. A "fun" pool for everyone with a voleyball net, a quite relaxing pool outdoors, a proper pool only for adults who want to swim laps, plus another relaxing pool indoors in the spa area, only for adults - cannot complain at all - great options. Breakfast and dinner were also OK, but I would never book half-board again as there are so many amazing restaurants to go to all over Mallorca, especially for dinner, where the food quality is simply better. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was just average - though to be fair, the variety of the buffet was always huge. What we found a little disappointing were quite a few small things, which added up to a bit of frustration. I've never been in a 4-star hotel which charges guests to rent the safe in the room. Maybe this is normal in Mallorca but I found it disappointing. There was no box of tissues in the bathroom. The information book in the room had no information, but only pictures. We received a photocopied sheet upon arrival with information about opening times for breakfast, dinner, pool bar, main bar etc., but this just seems "cheap" for a 4-star hotel in our opinion. Then, since the hotel is laid out with only hard surfaces and right angle walls, everything echoed relatively loudly. Some carpets or rugs in the rooms would help - maybe something on the walls in the hallways. Then it was the details: bathrobes, but no slippers, hooks on the wall in the bathroom that were unevenly mounted, the sink which had a slight downward slope together with slightly leaking faucet, causing water to spill over and create puddles on the floor of the bathroom. Also, some staff at reception gave us the feeling we were just another number coming to stay there. We didn't feel badly treated, just that there was a lack of warmth. None of these things would have bothered us on their own, but in total it was quite a few things that added up and left us feeling a bit disappointed. Lastly, the part that we cannot fault the hotel for - some very noisy kids, whose parents didn't seem to care how loud they were, no matter what time of day or night. And I'm not talking about babies who scream - this is more or less impossible to control and we understand that. But it's kids between 5 and 10 or so who just didn't seem to understand that yelling, playing running and screaming shouldn't be normal behaviour in the restaurant, hallways, lobby, etc. Again, this topic is not the fault of the hotel, but those looking for relaxation may be inclined to look into an adults-only hotel, or at least a 12+ hotel.

We stayed in Las Gaviotas hotel during June 2017 with my teenage children. I couldn't speak more highly of this hotel. It is a beautiful modern hotel, very modern, really centrally located near the beach, restaurants and shops. Lovely buffet breakfast and dinner with great choice. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I will hopefully be back to stay soon. Thanks to the staff for making this a memorable stay and wonderful holiday.
