Visited the hotel early June arriving midday to be greeted in the foyer and shown to Prestige check in for a glass of cava and a quick efficient check in. All areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Our room was on the 7th floor 2702 it was spacious with a very large comfortable bed, jacuzzi bath, large sofa 2 TVs, fridge and balcony with beautiful views. We stayed on a half board basis the buffet food plentiful and delicious with numerous choices. There was a theme each evening in the restaurant my personal favourite the fish night where the chef prepared lobster and langoustines which were perfect. The evening entertainment provided by the hotel was varied enjoyable of a high standard and a great way to finish your day listening to live music in the open air. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly helpful and efficient a credit to the hotel. A couple of negatives to mention the bedroom is at the rear of the hotel and is noisy from about 7.30 on a morning when deliveries and collections are being made, their is no seated area for drying hair applying makeup etc, and in the Prestige area there were ongoing issues with people reserving sun beds from 6.45 in a morning!!! The negatives did not spoil our holiday and would highly recommend.
Fabulous hotel, wonderful friendly staff, amazing facilities and entertainment, great selection of food. not as happy with the destination but were there to celebrate a family birthday. would opt for private transfers as it is only 25 minutes in a taxi.
Visited the hotel on many occasions (well in excess of 20) which tells its own story. Reception staff a delight to deal with , they make real attempts to make you feel welcome on a return visit.. Special thanks to Nuria, Philip, Karmen, Juan and Sherrif. on reception. Restaurant staff always greet returning guests with superb welcome, again special thanks to Sandra, Enrique and Ricardo.. If you want a quiet holiday superb views and superb staff just try it.
Excellent holiday for birthday with my partner beautiful location of hotel staff friendly would highly recommend definitely would love to go back and visit again soon only 2 hours from uk lovely weather
Felt like the hotel was just serviving. Staff very nice but not well resourced they could be off hand at times. We were on the 8th floor and this lacked security, anyone could come to your room, which was not reassuring for two women. Hotel was fully booked so we're not offered a more secure room. Room was a bit tired looking, but very clean. The balcony had no privacy screen, so you had to make sure you were covered up at all times and kept personal possessions out of sight. Food very standard and lacked imagination, felt the hotel was scrounging on portions, as food run out and the staff slow to replenish. We were all inclusive but this was limited, again a feeling of penny pinching.
Reception Dealt with by Carmen very good service and taken to our room by Sherrif 1715 room immaculate cleaned daily couldn't fault the service received. Restaurant Met by Ricardo who is very good and welcoming our waiter for the week was either Fernando or Mandi both very good and the food is lovely, fresh cooked to order, lobster night,Salads something here for everyone if you carnt find something I would like to know what you eat as it is truly tremendous the Tepanyaki night seems very popular and people who had been gave it excellent reviews how ever we didn't use it Bar Erica,Mirena,Juan to name but a few are tremendous always friendly and at times under slot of pressure as it can get very busy serving excellent drinks and bringing new drinks just when you need them, jannini lovely during the day with the pool service always smiling. All the bar staff work very hard and are Very good cannot fault them. Animation Georgina and the rest of the crew were very good/friendly never pushy always happy for a chat again work very hard in hot conditions the Rock Band are an act NOT to be missed very good. Pool area The pool area is very clean and people moan about beds not being available I believe this is more the PRestige are which is quite small there was always beds around the pool area until about 11am then a bit scattered in the afternoon personally how can you expect to get a prime bed in a good location when you get down to the pool at midday. Overall This was the sixth time we have stayed at this hotel and we love it,no kids peace and quiet and a bit of luxury it hits all our buttons which is why we are going back on the 4th Aug for two weeks, yes it is a bit pricey and we always go All Inclusive love it thank you IBerostar
Wow, what utter Chaos!!!!! Excuses Excuses, very very disappointed!!!!!! We entered the hotel on floor 8 only to be told that the Star Privilege room we had booked should check in at level 4 but the computers were not working so reception on 8 would have to check us in. Then as is very normal with the Iberostar chain they proceeded to up-sell a better room at 50% off. We agreed to look at the upgraded room , during the visit to the other room we were taken to the Star Prestige reception on level 4, we asked if there were other higher graded rooms available to look at as the new room was not to our liking, the reception said yes and a gentleman named Mario went off to look at his computer to check. After politely waiting for some 10 minutes we realised that Mario had in fact decided to completely forget about us and was dealing with two other guests who were now seated in front of his computer. I approached his desk and asked if we should go to level 8, he looked very flustered that I had interrupted his discussion with the other guest and proceeded to say that the room we wished to look at was being cleaned and would be ready to view in a short while. I smiled and sat back in my seat. Within another 5 -10 minutes he walked over to our seats and told us that the room was now not available. I am disgusted and very very disappointed with the service!!!!! He did not have the manners to firstly explain that the room was being cleanedbefore going to attend to other guests then very oddly after making us wait said the upgraded room was not available..............The worst part was this was totally totally untrue!!!!! Whilst waiting for him I had looked on the hotels web site and seen that the superior room with Balinese beds were available for the full duration of our stay.We had been prepared to pay the extra to upgrade to the new room but he just could not be bothered, I can see no other feasible explanation. Rude poor service not what I have come to expect from the Iberostar chain which I have stayed in previously. What a very disappointing start to a holiday.
Recently returned from this hotel and cannot praise it enough. The food was without doubt the best food that I've ever had at an all inclusive. It really was outstanding. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mirena and Ricardo. The animation team were delightful and there were so many interesting things to do, so different from the usual e.g sushi making, gin tasting. They really made my holiday extra special. We weren't in the Prestige area but I really don't feel we missed out. The hotel is situated in a beautiful position overlooking the bay and there is a small shopping area a short stroll away. I met some lovely people in the hotel and certainly hope to return next year.
Although my visit was last year 2017 I need to leave a late review for this excellent hotel. The swim up rooms are excellent. The staff are very obliging and the food well, absolutely excellent. Will definitely be re-visiting in the future.
We had 1 week at the hotel half board basis. Our first holiday minus children who are now at uni. The hotel was great Star Prestige was excellent. Spa pool good. Gym is small and the bike was broken. Food excellent and I’m fussy! Plenty of choice. I agree with another reviews reference reversing lorries and people walking by room woke us each morning! Over all great choice and clean we have already booked to return in October 18. I did email hotel reference a billed item query have had no response. Well located for Palma and ports to visit. Good walking from hotel to marina. Santa Ponsa centre is ok if you like busy pubs and bars etc however you can skip this as plenty of places to enjoy all within close proximity to hotel. Snorkling was good at hotel the views made it exceptional. Strange set up on room balcony no privacy at all from guests next to you. Staff very attentive. Could have done with a better understanding of what facilities star prestige offered on arrival however we did arrive at 11.30pm so Star Prestige area was closed.
