I was surprised by how many people were saying that this hotel was central. I guess it depends on what people class as central but a 40 minute walk at a good pace isn't that central to me. I didn't mind the walk but I definitely think it is worth being aware of. The hotel is what you would expect from a 3*. It's clean and no frills. One aspect that I was disappointed by was the lack of a kettle. My husband and I like herbal teas so take our own. When there was no kettle we went to the 24 hour bar to ask for some hot water. On the first night the man was hesitant but gave us it, on the second night he told us that if we were going to ask for it every night then he would charge us which I thought was a bit extreme. The main thing that really makes this hotel worth a visit though is the breakfast which is the one thing that I would say surpasses the 3* status. it was one of the best buffet breakfasts I've had full stop, never mind at a 3* with gluten free options also. The final thing that I wish I had known before I went was that they offer complimentary access and transport to a sister hotel that has a pool. if I would have know I would have packed swimwear as this would have been a lovely addition to the holiday. Overall, if you are wanting affordable and don't mind a bit of a walk then this hotel is good. You just might want to pack a travel kettle!
Nice clean hotel tucked back from the Main Street. Reception staff were all very good and spoke perfect english. Very close to good bus routes. Next to a very good Tapas bar. Shower was nice and powerful The double room could have been a bit bigger
We stayed for just 1 night before leaving the next day. Everything was absolutely great. Room and bathroom was nice and clean, and a very spacious balcony with plenty of room to sit, eat and lounge. They have a parking lot next to the hotel, for 8e.
The staff were fabulous, the breakfast was ok for an Irish man , rashers ? Lovley clean room with a great balcony.Pay for a superior room. Short walk to the city center. The hotel is situated in a quiet area with good local tapas bars which are a joy to behold.
We stayed in a double room with a balcony which was cosy, comfortable, clean and quiet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, safe, tv and air-con. We noticed our room door was slightly faulty -you had to push it hard in order to close it. We reported this to reception and was fixed within a few days. It takes around 30 mins to walk to the historical center along the marina or you can catch the No 3 bus to the historical center (bus stop only 2 mins from hotel). Bellver castle is a short walk from the hotel and there are restaurants and bars near the hotel opposite the marina. There is a an Eroski supermarket nearby. Illetes beach is only a short bus ride away (No 3 bus). The hotel is easy enough to get to from the airport. Just take the airport bus No 1 to Passeig Maritim 33 bus stop (opposite Titos club)- cost 5 euros. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and always willing to help with the usual tourist information queries etc.
We stayed here last year and came back this year. Although some parts of the area around the hotel are run down with graffiti, it is a quiet (and we find, safe). A ten minute walk into the centre or bus no 3 is a few roads away and will take you into the centre of Palma or The other detection to Illatas, a lovey beach about ten minutes away. (1:50€ aprox, one way). It's a small hotel with balconies over looking a residential area and only one other hotel close by. Rooms are clean and modern. There is a good choice of breakfast but no choice for lunch or evening meal. There are a few good places to eat near by. The Art Cafe is very close by and a great place to eat or for a drink. The hotel Staff were friendly and willing to help, with most speaking good English, but do try and speak some Spanish).
This hotel is lovely inside, area a bit run down bit quite interesting though being mainly Spanish area...lovely reception area, bar, the staff speak very good English and couldn't have been more helpful to us, as we had to change rooms as it was too small for 3, so we had a room on the 4th floor with a big terrace, sunbeds and table, great views over the cathederal and sea, roof terraces... Room very spacious and modern and nice size bathroom. also very clean..I would rate this hotel a 4* if it had a pool that's the only downside. Plenty of cheap places to eat breakfast and evening meals, although you do need to speak Spanish, as nobody understood English.. art café up the road very good and 3 cafes on the main rd...Bus no 3 runs frequently to the beach and into Palma
We arrived at this hotel after walking 400 yards from the transfer drop off point as the coach could not get up the narrow street. The first room the aircon was not working so we were moved to a second room, where both the main door to the room was broken and the patio doors would not lock. This though was soon sorted. After 3 days with no toiletries we asked for some at reception and we're told rooms were generally supplied on the first day but nothing was replaced....sure enough nothing was I think this is the first time in all my travels over many years a hotel has not replaced toiletries daily. The rooms are basic, no iron,(you can ask in reception for one). No tea/coffee facilities, tiny TV with no international channels but i knew I could change the Spanish tv to English so asked and was given the pin code. Tiny fridge stocked with really overpriced goods. No problem though as there is a Mercodona supermarket not far. I must say though Maria the receptionist could not do enough for us she is a real credit to the hotel. The 24 hr bar is a small counter at one end of the reception area, but is not manned. You have to ask whoever is on reception to get you a drink and if it's not Maria or Elenonora not sure your get served. The older guy of an evening turned the lights off and was more interested in watching tv so didn't like to ask and the younger man when we wanted a cup of tea informed us the boiler was broken so couldn't make one, beats me why not as they had coffee machines which gave hot water. All in all I think there are much better hotels for the money and I would not go back to this particular hotel. There is no beach in the area, no.3 bus goes to Palma or you can take a 30 min walk along the front
Spent four nights here with a friend. On arrival area looked a little run down. However once we got out and about we found it to be a quiet area full of locals. Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful ,providing us with a map & details of the nearest bus stop & attractions. The room was spotless & had a nice little balcony to sit on for a rest after a long day out sightseeing. The maid was lovely & even arranged our night dresses in a fancy way on our beds each day. A nice touch by the lovely receptionist on our last day was to allow us to get some breakfast at 7:15 as we had an early taxi pick up. Breakfast usually started at 7:30 don't think many places would have bothered. The number 3 bus stops just down the road & is 1 euro 50 each to almost anywhere around the city. Would recommend this hotel & would definitely go back.
There is nothing to fault with the hotel. The location is a little run down but that presents opportunities for interesting little bars and restaurants you might not otherwise find. Reception staff are first class and room servicing staff are welcoming. Rooms small but adequate with an excellent shower in the facilities. Breakfast well worth the €8. If you can live with not being on 'the strip' this is a good place to be.
